They enrolled late, and naturally, their evacuation was also delayed, not to ntion they had just procured a substantial amount of wood and stone outside the city.

Their return was also strictly controlled.

Basically, they had just arrived in the territory when the rchant team that was purchasing resources left, and they could only "reluctantly" continue to sell outside the city.

The reason was still very reliable.

Quickly, the residents of the territory organized and moved orderly towards the city gate.

At the city gate.

As dusk was about to fall, Justin watched as a considerable number of territory residents returned, slightly relieving his anxiety.

Having so return was better than none.

But before he could celebrate, he saw two rcenary teams from Hope Village preparing to leave.

No, not exactly leaving, but relocating outside the city.

Watching the fervor rise again due to their small stand outside the territory, he couldn’t help but furrow his brows.

Why were today’s residents so abnormal? With more people still outside the territory than those returning, and more leaving after returning,

He couldn’t help but suspect that this was a conspiracy.

As he contemplated reporting this again, the soldiers changed shifts.

"Why is it you guys? I thought it was supposed to be Ramos and his team?" Watching today’s shift soldiers, Justin felt sothing was off.

"Ramos swapped shifts with us," one of the shift soldiers replied with a smile, looking natural.

Thus, although Justin felt it was illogical, he didn’t say much and proceeded with the handover of docunts and collected deposits.

After the handover, the rotational soldiers left cheerily.

So headed to the Tavern, others to various restaurants, no different from any other day.

A junior soldier then approached Justin and said directly, "Justin, how about we go grab so food together?"

Justin paused for a mont, "No need, I still have so things to handle."

He decided to go and ask the captain personally.

Whether the change of soldiers was pre-decided, or if soone had arranged it last minute.

If it was the forr, then there was no issue, but if it was the latter, then there certainly was a trendous conspiracy at play.

Soon, Justin found their captain, Pavel.

Pavel, upon seeing Justin, showed a hint of surprise followed by understanding, then asked, "What did you need from ?"

"How did Ramos and his team suddenly switch shifts? When did this happen?" Justin directly asked.

Upon hearing these questions, Pavel’s expression paused, and he frowned, "Is there any problem with that?"

Listening, Justin spoke out his findings, "I was just thinking, could it be that soone in the territory was colluding with Hope Village, planning to defect to Barnes Village?"

As Justin spoke, he exuded righteousness.

Pavel: "..."

He had always known Justin was smart, but because of his straightforward nature, he hadn’t gotten along well in the soldier team.

He didn’t expect him to dare to confront him directly after noticing the anomaly; how bold.

However, since Justin had discovered it, he couldn’t let him ruin his plans.

Thinking it over, Pavel straightforwardly said, "It was my decision on the spot."

Justin, upon hearing this, was montarily at a loss for words.

Was he supposed to ask his own captain if he planned to defect?

Pavel didn’t dwell on this issue but directly asked Justin, "If I gave you a chance to leave Barnes Village for a better territory, would you take it?"

Justin’s pupils involuntarily contracted upon hearing this.

What did his own captain an by that?

His lips moved, and Justin said, "Captain, are you also thinking about leaving Barnes Village for... Hope Village?"

The words "Hope Village" were particularly hard for Justin to articulate.

Thinking back now, he suddenly felt like the fool himself.

Wouldn’t the other soldiers in the sa shift notice anything unusual? They surely had, but each one behaved as though nothing had happened, clearly thinking that this must involve officials in a high position.

In such a case, ignoring it was the best approach, only he foolishly went straight to the captain.

Now, if he didn’t answer well, could he be killed to silence him?

Justin’s heart began to beat wildly.
