The 58th day since the apocalypse descended.
The Territory War was drawing ever closer, and the entire territory had directly entered a state of war preparation.
Stone, an important material for territory defense, had beco a crucial resource for Professionals to gather while venturing outside.
Though the yield from stone was low, most Professionals were willing to contribute to the territory’s defense.
Thus, early in the morning, teams of various Professionals had already assembled in front of Lord Mansion, with teams having fixed mbers departing as soon as they were assembled, while those with more flexibility stayed to recruit.
Beck, too, was up early, coordinating with his grandfather and Clan Leader, Dean, picking out so of the better warriors from the Sheep-headed Man team.
When they arrived, their faces showed seriousness, but their hearts were pounding uncontrollably.
Beck had told them, no matter how nervous they were inside, to try not to let it show.
However, because of Beck and Anna’s sake, the Sheep-headed Man’s soft charm had already deeply entered the hearts of Hope Village Residents.
Several team leaders, upon seeing Beck bringing people over, directly gathered around.
"Beck, these are your kinsn, right? Are they planning on leaving the territory for tasks?"
"Yes," Beck nodded, "are your teams available?"
"We’re available, we’re short of people! You can allocate a few kinsn to . My team isn’t going too far, just hunting so Demon Beasts near Chaotic Stone Forest and gathering so Stone on the way, relatively safe. I can surely bring all your kinsn back safely."
"I’m available too, though my team must travel farther. Still, we can assure safety, no need to worry."
"..."
Various team leaders spoke up, one after another.
Sheep-headed n were obedient and strong, definitely an asset to any team, and besides, integrating these Beastn into Hope Village was a win-win!
Listening to this, Beck imdiately assigned the warriors from his tribe.
After arranging everything and watching them leave, Beck then returned to the farmland behind him.
At this ti, the Clan Leader, the females, and the young had already taken the initiative to work on the farmlands and Breeding Grounds.
Their race had an innate Talent for Planting and Breeding.
As the territory was constructing their houses, it had also expanded the scale of the farmlands and Breeding Grounds, which made it easy for them to get started.
Working in these areas offered wages a bit low for Humans, but for the Sheep-headed n, it was a good place of belonging.
The Sheep-headed Man Clan Leader, Dean, was tending to Demon Beasts.
One of his Skills was Beast Breeding, which could enhance the Attributes of the Demon Beasts, and if the Demon Beasts were pregnant, he could even increase their offspring.
The very reason he beca the Clan Leader was due to this Talent of his.
The mont Beck returned, Dean noticed and hurried over, "Did everything go smoothly?"
"They have all gone out with the teams of Professionals from the territory," Beck replied.
"Is it safe?" Dean couldn’t help asking, while so of the surrounding Sheep-headed n pricked up their ears.
"Grandfather, don’t worry! There are seldom casualties with the outgoing teams, and even if there are, we have a Hospital in the territory for Healing. Everyone is still young! They can endure, and now by working hard, we can ensure better days ahead," Beck said earnestly.
Listening to this, Dean looked Beck up and down, then said with relief, "Beck, you’ve grown up. You really know your stuff now."
Hearing this, Beck reached up to scratch his head, a bit sheepishly, "I learned it from the Residents. They are amazing! I’ve learned so much from them."
Listening, Dean also felt sowhat emotional, "We’re lucky this ti to have co across a Human Territory that treats us Beastn as Humans; otherwise..."
Thinking about how close they were to being enslaved, oppressed by Humans for a lifeti, a chill ran down Dean’s spine.
It was indeed fortunate.
"We’ll live our lives well here in Hope Village and everything will get better," Beck consoled.
"Mhm." Seeing everything the people had told them co true, he finally felt completely at ease.
And as for the other Sheep-headed n listening, the fear of a new territory gradually vanished from their eyes, replaced with anticipation for the future.
Life here was stable, commodities affordable, with various delicacies available. Life was so much better than before.
And because they had hope, they worked with vigor.
While the Sheep-headed n were successfully settling into their new lives, the Fox Beastn went straight to the Tiger-n and Kobolds.
