Afterward, Sol and his group directly saved the bound rcenaries.

The rescued rcenaries showed expressions of relief after surviving the ordeal, and then one after another, they began giving their accounts.

"Captain, you finally ca back."

"So beastn ca and kidnapped us, taking all the beastn away."

"They also looted all our belongings, and those who resisted got beaten up."

"..."

As they spoke, they were also hoping that the captain would bla the beastn, not holding them accountable.

They couldn’t afford the responsibility!

More than two hundred beastn, and even a five-digit number of gold coins, they couldn’t cover the loss even if they sold themselves!

They never expected that what was supposed to be a good job of just watching over turned into a death warrant in a blink.

These fifty-plus rcenaries were genuinely scared; many of them had just joined the rcenary team, not knowing what fate awaited them for losing so many prey.

Sol also saw their fear and, thinking of the various struggles he had faced along the way, understood he couldn’t bla these "new soldiers." He directly said, "This has little to do with you; you don’t need to worry too much."

Upon hearing this, the group breathed a sigh of relief, saying, "Thank you, Captain."

Now, besides saying thank you, they genuinely didn’t know what else to say.

"So now, can you tell us in which direction those beastn went, or did you hear any noise afterward?" Sol continued.

"We were blindfolded; they obviously didn’t want us to know where they were going. We didn’t hear any noise, but we did hear you when you arrived." Upon hearing Sol’s question, everyone hastened to respond, but their replies were consistent.

Logically, when their eyes were covered, their other senses should have been heightened, and they were indeed trying to listen for any movent from the others.

But the first thing they heard was the sound of them moving further and further away, they truly couldn’t judge from which direction they had gone, and afterward, they didn’t hear any more sounds.

If indeed there were, then it might be possible that the other party intentionally lightened their steps, staying far away from them, making it difficult for them to hear.

After listening to their responses, Sol knew that he couldn’t get any important information from them.

There was one thing, however; an incredible speculation arose in his mind.

"What do you think, after abducting the beastn, where might they go?" Sol asked casually.

"It must be back to the Beastman Kingdom; where else could they go?" The responding rcenary spoke subconsciously.

Yet, Sol just smiled.

If they really were returning to the Beastman Kingdom, why would they be afraid of being seen on their way there?

There was only one other possibility: they went in a different direction.

While Sol thought this, his gaze turned towards the borders of the Human Clan Kingdom.

Had this group of beastn gone to the Human Clan Kingdom?

With this thought, Sol couldn’t suppress his speculation anymore.

It was at this mont that noise ca from behind them.

Philip and Bridges returned with their n, looking disheveled.

Many of them were injured, but more noticeable than the injuries were the rcenaries present, who looked just like them, dressed only in their underwear, with ssy hair and dirty faces, clearly having encountered trouble.

Seeing Sol, the faces of Philip and Bridges stiffened.

They really didn’t know what to say—should they tell how they were beaten by the beastn? Not only did they fail to capture any, but many of them got completely looted.

Though many rcenaries didn’t carry all their silver coins and gold coins with them, life-saving potions and essential equipnt were indispensable.

All of these having been looted, their loss was truly great.

And to think, it was they who had urged Sol to chase the beastn, leading to this disaster, how could they not feel guilty?

Especially after they saw that the rcenaries who had originally been stationed here were also raided, and the over two hundred Beastn they had captured had simply vanished, they grew even more panicked.

"Could Sol have gotten so angry that he lost his mind?"

"Back already?" Sol asked indifferently, "How did it go?"

Bridges and Philip listened, their mouths moving wordlessly, unable to utter a single sentence for a long mont.

Sol waited patiently.

After a mont, they finally began to speak.

"I fell for the Beastn’s trick and injured many people along the way, and it’s my fault that I couldn’t keep the equipnt you gave which had disappeared from the beginning..."

"We took a detour to the rear, and they had quite a few Beastn ambushing us in secret. It seed they didn’t really want our lives, though, as they kept leading us in another direction. Once caught, they simply robbed us of all our belongings."

Sol listened to their words and remained silent.

"Sol, we’re sorry, it all started because of us, otherwise our losses this ti wouldn’t have been so severe," the two n then apologized.

After speaking, both n slightly bowed their heads, showing their attitude of admitting their mistakes.

"The fault isn’t yours alone; I agreed to it, ultimately," Sol said, watching their deanor, he paused montarily before finally speaking.

There was anger to be sure, but it wouldn’t be fair to bla them entirely.

He had agreed as well.

No one had expected this group of Beastn would be so troubleso.

Their moves were unpredictable, and their origins murky.

Upon hearing Sol’s response, neither blaming nor punishing them, Bridges and Philip truly sighed in relief.

Then they continued to make their position clear, "This loss was due to our inadequate preparation. Next ti, we won’t let them deceive us so easily."

Even if it ant spending years of savings, they were determined to capture this group of Beastn and get their revenge; otherwise, they could never let go of their frustrations.

"Next ti? It might be a long while before we encounter them again," Sol stated coldly.

"What do you an?" Both were sowhat bewildered.

How could they not understand what he ant?

Sol repeated his speculation, concluding with, "They might have entered the Human Clan Kingdom, but I don’t know which territory."

"Into a Human Territory within the Human Clan Kingdom? Impossible, isn’t it? Who would dare harbor Beastn, so barbaric and fierce?" Bridges couldn’t help but retort.

"Perhaps there really is a territory sheltering them. They didn’t act like other Beastn who would simply attack on sight. I hate to say it, but they indeed had many opportunities to kill us throughout the process but chose not to; first, perhaps they didn’t want to make an enemy of us, and second, they might be involved with our Humans, so they didn’t want to kill us," analyzed Philip. "Most importantly, their setting traps and taking our belongings, the forr certainly couldn’t have been innovated by their brains alone, likely they learned it from Humans; the latter, taking our Equipnt, must have been useful, especially to Humans."

Listening, Sol looked at Philip, nodded, and agreed, "I think so, too!"

"Since they’ve entered the Human Clan Kingdom, let’s return to the city and rally our forces to chase after them. We’ll definitely be able to catch them," Bridges hurriedly added.

He too had suffered great losses, including misplacing Sol’s crucial piece of Equipnt, and he definitely needed to find a way to compensate.

Ah, they could only hope to recover so of their losses from those Beastn.

"It’s too late! With the Beastn’s speed, by the ti we return to our territory and gather our forces, there’s no way we could keep up," Philip couldn’t help but interject.

The probability of catching up was too slim.

The two finished speaking, their gaze turning to Sol, waiting for his reaction.

Sol listened thoughtfully, then firmly said, "First, let’s return to the city. I’ll go see Master Xiner, and have him dispatch a Demon Beast to track them. We don’t necessarily have to catch up, we just need to know which territory they’ve gone to."

"Yes, that’s good. They can run away, but the territory behind them can’t," exclaid Bridges and Philip in surprise.

Being a High-level Summoner, Xiner could control many Demon Beasts—tracking individuals was not beyond his abilities!

With that decision made, the group began heading towards Delisha City.

Yet as they walked, thinking about their unfruitful return this ti, each couldn’t help but silently curse again.
