The speed was so fast that the rcenaries barely had ti to react. Many of them cast spells that hit nothing but air or fizzled out halfway.
Sol reacted swiftly, intending to directly intercept O’Neill.
But unlike the previous one-on-one fight, as he prepared to do so, several Tiger-n retreated from O’Neill’s side and attacked him together, forcibly repelling his attack.
By the ti other rcenaries reached Sol’s side, the Beastn had already fled.
"Useless!" Sol couldn’t help but curse as he looked at the group of rcenaries.
He had to swallow his rage in the end.
"I don’t know, those Beastn are too fierce; a mont’s lapse in attention and they’ll send you flying. We were so focused on fighting them that we couldn’t spare any effort to do anything else."
"These Beastn are too cunning; they’re doing it on purpose."
"It seems like their goal was just to capture people."
"..."
One after another, they hurriedly spoke, clearly not trying to shirk responsibility.
The Tiger-n were inherently brave. Even with ample combat experience, they were insignificant before absolute power.
Sol took a deep breath in his heart and cald down considerably.
Seeing his expression, the leader of a small team tentatively spoke up.
"Captain, should we pursue?"
Sol responded without hesitation: "Pursue!"
"Which direction? Towards the other runners or where the captured were taken?"
"Should we split our forces?"
"If we divide our forces, we’ll be even weaker. If we encounter Beastn, can we fight them?"
A quarrel broke out among them.
They did not want to split their forces.
These Beastn were too fierce and intelligent; one could inadvertently beco their prisoner.
Listening to their argunt, Sol said, "Don’t divide; pursue in the direction where they took the captives."
"Yes."
"..."
And so, the remaining personnel quickly sprang into action.
They were unaware that their plan had been imdiately disclosed to soone else.
After learning the news ahead of ti, Lucas and his group stripped the captive of all valuables and equipnt, then dispatched a small squad towards the south, while the rest waited near the second and third traps.
According to the plan, if the second trap captured soone, they would run south.
Just as they confird the plan, Sol and his n approached the second trap’s location.
Unlike the previous instance when Sol personally led the team, this ti a small squad cleared the path ahead.
They even began to take note of the conditions of the road.
Indeed, due to their previous experience, soone soon beca aware of the existence of a second large pit.
"Captain, there’s a trap there." One person cautiously returned to Sol’s side and whispered in his ear.
Upon hearing this, Sol imdiately began searching the surroundings.
Drawing from their previous shock, his gaze darted at every dense bush and thick tree trunk.
Under Sol’s ticulous scanning, he quickly spotted a piece of clothing peeking out from under a tree.
Imdiately, he commanded a team to charge swiftly in their direction.
But just as they started to run, a series of sharp screams rang out.
Sol looked closely and saw several people stepping into small traps.
Inside the traps were various small spikes.
The first batch of people was almost completely disabled, and the second batch hesitated.
"Enemy attack!"
Looking in the direction of the chorus, he saw dozens of Beastn suddenly erging from the back row.
Without a word, they knocked out a dozen people and carried them away, completely disregarding what was happening behind them.
Even though so people’s spells hit them, it was as if they were rely scratching an itch to the Beastn.
"Pursue!" Sol watched the scene and, driven by anger, took the lead in the chase.
He realized that those pieces of clothing were part of the trap.
He took the lead, many following closely and quickly catching up.
As for those injured, they were the first to pull their feet out of the traps and imdiately took Recovery Potions.
Upon using them, their wounds healed as if by magic.
But one must know, the faster the effect, the more precious the Recovery Potion.
Fearing being left behind to beco prisoners to the Beastn, they had used High-level Recovery Potions.
The group exhausted their greatest strength in pursuit.
Gradually, they began to catch up with the Beastn.
A barrage of arrows rained down on them like a storm.
Having suffered losses the first and second tis, everyone was holding back a surge of anger.
Just as the arrow storm was about to strike them...
Suddenly, a group of Beastn wielding shields sprang out.
Upon seeing those shields, everyone was dumbstruck.
Those were... their team’s shields.
Their arrows fell harmlessly upon those specially-crafted shields!
First it was the animal traps, now the shields.
The Beastn’s motives were crystal clear.
"When did Beastn beco so interested in our equipnt!!!" one of the rcenaries exclaid in surprise.
Sol: "..."
Even Sol couldn’t help but grind his teeth.
He finally understood the goal of this group of Beastn.
Damn it! They were always the ones robbing the Beastn; when did it turn around to where the Beastn could rob them!
"Attack!" Sol shouted fiercely.
In that mont, he would absolutely not allow this group of Beastn to escape!
"Retreat!" But just as he gave the command, a voice also called out among the Beastn.
At the sound of this voice, a group of Beastn ran in different directions. On closer inspection, the group that had carried off their teammates had already vanished without a trace, their destination unknown.
The ones left behind were clearly ant to cover their retreat.
The numbers were evenly matched.
Not this again!
Sol gritted his teeth, managing to squeeze out a single word, "Pursue!"
"...Yes." The rcenaries behind him were already beginning to waver.
How did they feel that no matter what, they would still end up at a disadvantage?
Before long, after chasing for a distance and losing sight of them, they paused.
Another trap!
This ti, most people subconsciously focused their attention on the ground.
They carefully tested every inch of soil, yet found no sign of traps.
Seeing this, Sol recalled the previous two incidents, and his eyes imdiately focused on the surrounding trees—they had to look at these Beastn differently than before!
But just as he looked up, countless arrows suddenly shot at them from all directions.
Sol and the others impassively used their weapons to slash aside and knock down these Wooden Arrows.
These were the arrows they had previously shot, now coming back at them!
Unbearably infuriating!
This group was truly the most despicable Beastn they had ever encountered!
