Of course, the Invisibility Cloak had a ti limit, and if it was to be used later, there would also be a cooldown period!

The captured rcenaries watched their captain escape, with a glimr of surprise, because judging by the number of beastn, as long as the captain got away and their main forces arrived, they definitely had a chance to take down the group of beastn and be rescued.

But upon seeing Tena and others suddenly appear, they were no longer sure.

Clearly, they could have stopped the captain and the others, even if they couldn’t capture everyone, not so many would have escaped.

Why did the beastn purposely let them go?

The rcenaries had a foreboding feeling in their hearts.

Sure enough, at that mont, several Tiger-n and Kobolds who had gone after Bridges returned.

Looking at Lucas and his group, they began to speak with a grin.

"To make them believe, I had to endure not moving even when the stuff they threw hit !"

" too! That skill they threw at was just like tickling, and I even had to act like I got hit."

"They must believe it now, right?"

"Acting doesn’t seem that hard, it’s actually quite fun."

...

Listening to this, the rcenaries were completely dumbfounded!

They were actually acting!

Celestials! When had straightforward beastn started using such tactics?

And they had fallen for it, hatefully.

Subconsciously, the line of people began to struggle to break free.

No, they had to inform their captain.

Even if they didn’t co back to save them, if they sacrificed themselves, their team wouldn’t treat them unfairly.

Sadly, the mont they moved, Lucas and his people instantly tightened the ropes that bound them.

"Don’t move. Move again and I’ll cut you down first!" Lucas said fiercely.

This group had their eyes on them as predators, and he had no great kindness to offer.

The rcenaries, threatened this way, instantly dared not move.

They knew all too well the barbarity and ferocity of the beastn.

However, they also noticed sothing different about this group of beastn; normally, if Tiger-n encountered humans with ill intent, they would not hesitate to kill them imdiately, leaving no problems for the future.

Each ti their team went hunting Tiger-n, they would be extrely careful, always carrying enough potions.

Their faces turned ashen.

They felt that this ti, they definitely wouldn’t escape.

At this mont, Lucas also noticed the fine equipnt on the rcenaries and a malicious smile curled on his lips. He spoke harshly, "Hand over everything you’ve got on you."

The rcenaries: "..."

"Your equipnt and potions, all of it, hand it over. If not, well..." Lucas sneered, as if he had said nothing and yet everything.

The rcenaries clearly understood the threat in his tone, their complexions turned paler, they exchanged glances, and finally, almost imperceptibly, nodded their heads.

After all, with their lives spared, they could still see a glimr of hope.

The next mont, the rcenaries began to hand over items one by one.

All sorts of potions and equipnt were laid out on the ground.

Seeing these supplies, the eyes of Lucas and his crew instantly lit up.

Heavens!

So many good items.

"This is a Physical Strength Potion."

"This is a Magic Potion."

"This is actually Golden Equipnt."

"We’ve struck it rich, how much money is this worth!"

"Brothers, we’re wealthy now."

"Quick, bring it all out, there must be more."

"No dice. I’ll chop you guys up," said one threateningly.

"..."

The beastn who had been in Hope Village for a while didn’t bother with politeness this ti.

Although there was a lot of equipnt they didn’t need, they knew that the Professionals back in Hope Village would be very willing to buy it.

For equipnt, those Professionals were quite willing to spend money.

And Silver Level equipnt was already worth several gold coins, not to ntion Gold Level gear, which was said to go for 10 or more gold coins.

gold coins were 10 months’ salary for them—an insane amount of money!

Once dazzled by gold coins, their exploitation of the rcenaries beca even more passionate.

They could tell that the fiercer they were, the more frightened the rcenaries beca.

Hence, they were all fiercely aggressive.

Now, they planned on playing the role of bandits and robbing these rcenaries down to the last man.

The beastn who ca along this ti were shocked by this scene!

Was this even possible?

They learned sothing new!

And they quickly joined the ranks of those threatening the rcenaries, without an ounce of fear for facing a large group of them.

Just over a dozen rcenaries, and already so much money to be had—imagine if there were dozens or hundreds more?

The beastn surrounded the small group of rcenaries until there was no escape.

Already bound and lying powerless on the ground, now hemd in by so many towering beastn, the rcenaries felt overwhelming pressure and saw their morale utterly collapse.

All they could do was silently pull out whatever belongings they had on them.

As the rcenaries handed over items, the beastn promptly picked them up and handed them over to Lucas, who was on one side.

They all acknowledged that the loot belonged to the group and would need to be divided up later.

Lucas didn’t refuse; he collected the items and sported a faint smile.

His kin had really progressed.

And he loved it!

But after calculating the ti, Lucas casually reminded, "Hurry it up, or it’ll be trouble if their main force shows up."

This comnt sent another shiver through the captured rcenaries, their faces paling a bit more. They had thought the beastn would finish them off. Despondent and losing spirit, they numbly kept pulling out their possessions.

Until there was nothing left to pull out.

"We’ve got nothing left, really nothing left."

"We gave you all the copper coins we had on us."

"..."

A group of rcenaries said this weakly.

Now, they had no hope left.

Seeing their state, the beastn believed they had nothing of value left on them.

Then, one beastman scanned their Equipnt and didn’t hesitate to say, "Strip them of their equipnt, too."

Then, all the rcenaries were left with nothing but their ordinary undergarnts.

It was hard not to suspect that if it weren’t for the clothing’s lack of value and the impracticality of leaving them naked, that too would have been taken.

The rcenaries now looked at the beastn with so malice in their eyes.

Everything about today had been off.

Forget it, they thought, no use dwelling on it now.

Just as the group of rcenaries thought they were about to be dispatched, they heard Lucas’s voice.

"Alright, stash them away. We continue with the next step of the plan!"

Clearly, they were about to execute another ambush.

But unlike their earlier nervousness, this batch of beastn was eager and ready for action.

After finalizing the plan, they obediently hid in their designated spots, eyeing the entrance where the rcenaries might co through, their eyes gleaming with anticipation.

Those rcenaries were just big, fat sheep waiting to be fleeced!
