“Is sothing the matter?” His Adam’s apple bobbed, his voice hoarse.
Mu Lingyun didn’t respond but threw herself into his arms and said with a crying voice, “I’m so scared! I’m afraid!”
As she spoke, she rubbed her head against his chest.
She had wanted to hug him tightly like this for a long ti, ever since they called to tell her that he had woken up; she had wanted to hold him just like this.

“Then where will you sleep?”
“On the sofa.”
Mu Lingyun curled the corner of her lips, let go of him, and said, “I should go back to sleep, then. If I get scared, can I video call you?”
Her Crown Prince had just recovered from a serious illness and still needed to take dicine.
She couldn’t bear to let him sleep on the sofa.
Ji Luochen hesitated for a mont.
He felt this might not be a good idea.
But, eting her begging eyes, he couldn’t bring himself to say no and nodded in agreent.
Getting the answer she desired, Mu Lingyun bid Ji Luochen farewell and left his place.
Back in bed, she couldn’t wait to make a video call to Ji Luochen.
Once connected, she imdiately said, “I’m still a bit scared living alone.”
Ji Luochen saw the girl lying on the bed, apparently having placed the phone on a stand, with the cara pointing at her face.
She wrapped herself tight in the cotton blanket, revealing only a petite and delicate face, her eyes watering as she looked at him, the gentle bedside lamp casting a soft layer over her, making her look utterly adorable.
“It’s okay, I’m next door, and if anything happens, you just call and I’ll be right there,” he reassured her instinctively.
“Then don’t hang up the video, wait until I fall asleep to hang up, okay?” she asked.
“Okay,” Ji Luochen replied.
With that assurance, Mu Lingyun closed her eyes contentedly.
Once the girl closed her eyes, her eyelashes, long and curled, appeared particularly beautiful.
Her skin, white and delicate, showed signs of blush, seemingly more tender than a baby’s.
Her full, moist lips resembled delicate cherries.
Her sleeping face was so well-behaved, it inspired an urge in others to tease.
Ji Luochen felt his throat dry and realized he was sowhat thirsty.
He looked away, took a deep breath, closed his eyes, and gradually subdued the inexplicable restlessness.

But she did know that when she woke up the next day, her phone had run out of battery and shut down automatically.
She rushed to charge and turn on her phone and, sure enough, saw a ssage from Director Feng.
