Su Ming wrapped his arm around Barry’s neck, tousling his hair; being welcod feels great, though probably only Barry thinks so.
It seems like Earth has really fallen into so trouble, and he should remind Barry of a few things.
"Listen, Barry, maybe you think the Static Force is incomprehensible, that it’s the fantasy of the Turtle People, but I must tell you, the Static Force truly exists."
Seeing Barry’s surprised expression, Su Ming continued the conversation, knowing Barry greatly trusted him.
"Just like the Multiverse is divided into light and dark sides, the Divine Speed also has its opposite. If Divine Speed is the force with countless possibilities, scattering the tiline... then Static Force is the force that forcibly stops the tiline and gradually converges it into a point."
Barry beca serious, it sounds like the Turtle People truly discovered sothing incredible.
In previous encounters, the Turtle People’s abilities seed dedicated to pranks, not posing any threats; falling for their tricks just required gaining speed to run a few more steps.
Flashpoint Hero’s top adversaries have always been ’Reverse Lightning’ and ’Black Lightning,’ those speedsters.
"Wait." Barry quickly waved his hand: "Divine Speed’s dark side? Isn’t that the power used by Black Lightning?"
Su Ming felt sowhat bored; the Hall of Justice seemingly prohibits smoking, these heroes’ hobbies are far too positive: "Dark Side is Dark Side, the opposite is the opposite. Static Force doesn’t lie within Divine Speed; conversely, since it’s the force hindering the Cosmos’ developnt, it’s trapped outside the Wall of Origin."
"Then last ti we broke the Wall of Origin..." Barry understood, closing his eyes with a sigh.
Previously, it was all about racing to see who was faster, but now what? Compete to see who’s slower?
"All I can tell you is about this... Where’s Batman? Once he clears his debt to from last ti, I can leave and buy a house and car."
Su Ming waited for a while, feeling like Batman was avoiding him, weren’t he planning to return; hitching a ride with Superman should take just minutes, right?
Barry understood his confusion and awkwardly led Su Ming toward a restaurant: "Uh, Batman and Superman have gone to inspect the Totality that fell in the Nevada Desert, it’ll likely take a long ti... if you plan to buy a house and settle in our world, how about moving to Midtown?"
"Haha, I’ll consider it, tell about the Totality."
Getting intel from Barry is easier; Su Ming is curious about what’s happening with the Justice League, if managed wisely, this is a great opportunity to make money.
"Money, money..." Strangulation doesn’t quite understand what making money ans but can sense the host is very pleased now.
"This starts from when you left..." Barry took off his hood, arranging his dark hair.
As he recalled, he told Su Ming in detail about what happened next.
His mind was spinning fast, and he spoke quickly; within minutes, Su Ming fully understood the events that unfolded after his departure.
It seems the Oga Giant God has been dealt with, but now Earth, no, the entire Multiverse is on the brink of destruction, probably only a year left.
The so-called Totality resembles a giant clay-colored head, like those heads of giants on the previous Wall of Origin.
Now it’s fallen into the desert, surrounded by yellow sand, enclosed by a strange energy blocking any probing into the interior.
The Justice League is researching it but hasn’t decided on a course of action yet.
As they chat, the two arrive at the internal cafeteria of the Hall of Justice; it’s lunchti now, finding the number of people surprisingly high.
With just a glance, Su Ming sees the Shadow Contract Team, Detective Gorilla, and several from Titan Squad, more unfamiliar heroes than he expected, their colorful uniforms could dizzy anyone’s eyes.
At this mont, the restaurant is bustling, but the instant Deathstroke appeared, it instantly quieted down.
The black and yellow armor was really too eye-catching, any hero seeing it would instantly beco wary.
Fortunately, Su Ming wasn’t wearing a helt, appearing much younger than this world’s Slade, or else the Titan Squad might have rushed forward.
"Everyone go ahead with your als, this Deathstroke from the Parallel World is a friend of the Justice League." Barry quickly raised his hand to shield Su Ming, indicating to everyone not to show too much hostility.
Su Ming sighed inwardly, what friend of the Justice League, probably only Barry thinks so; even Ron left with the excuse of grabbing a drink, likely to check his information.
Barry, oblivious to it all, guided Su Ming to sit by the bar; the chef here is a Minotaur, probably brought in by Diana, right now wearing a clean chef’s coat, ticulously preparing steaks.
Su Ming, frozen-faced, sat beside Barry.
"I’ll have a multi-layer hamburger, with extra cheese, Slade, what will you have? It’s on ." Barry boldly pat his chest, smiling as he placed a nu before Su Ming.
Knowing the world’s destruction tiline yet treating soone to a al; a Minotaur chef cooking beef; Batman not paying his debt; Swamp Monster not eating human food, rely spacing out in the restaurant; the nu full of high-calorie foods.
This Hall of Justice ought to just rena itself the Hall of Ridicule, there are just too many things to criticize here...
However, if Earth is about to be annihilated, the plan to buy a house should be postponed. Su Ming is confident he can protect Earth from any crisis; but during the process, it’s hard to guarantee the house won’t be damaged.
The Justice League seems to have their plans. If they don’t ask for Su Ming, how can he exploit them?
The atmosphere in the cafeteria gradually eased, Barry had good rapport, almost everyone believed his words, heroes started chatting in groups, mostly about trivial matters, or flirty exchanges between n and won.
These second-tier heroes don’t have pressures as significant as the Justice League, their routine is just donning the costus to battle minor monsters, then courting other masked folks.
Su Ming idly selected so food while chatting with Barry, eavesdropping on everyone’s conversations.
Quickly, he deduced that no one else knew about the Totality except for the Dark Justice League.
Aside from Swamp Monster, Zha Kang and Zatanna are all absent, presumably dealing with the fallout from the Totality’s landing.
With Batman and Mage’s usual temperant, they’d likely cast spells to seal off the whole affair, like a super large Invisibility Barrier.
After eating, Barry invited Su Ming to visit his room downstairs, each mber of the Justice League having a large space to personalize.
Obviously, except for Green Arrow, who’s once more forgotten.
Su Ming courteously declined the invitation, requesting Barry to notify Batman to prepare unmarked cash in old bills, and he’d collect it tomorrow.
Afterwards, he strode out of the Hall of Justice, ignoring the screaming people avoiding him, soaring into the sky aided by his cloak.
He pondered how to officially join this incident while earning money, making it so Batman and the others couldn’t refuse, and it involved a string of letters...
