Ron quietly floated outside of the Earth, the scene seen by his red eyes known to no one.
He was once a mber of the Justice League, their close friend, their family.
But he left for too long, experienced too much. Betrayal, Black Lantern, White Lantern, a series of events.
He wanted to retire, stay ho with his kids, eat so chocolate cookies, but was pulled back into Earth’s affairs.
He is now the chairman of the Justice League.
Ron knew well, the brain of this league is always Batman, he is just a facade, a voicebox convenient for communicating with the governnt.
He once worked for the governnt, his psychic ability excelled in communication, and he is an exposed figure, providing more security to those politicians than Batman.
But he doesn’t mind being used by Batman, he once saw his planet devastated, and now, he won’t let Earth et the sa fate.
He simultaneously guided Batman through underground tunnels, guided Diana in pursuit of the enemy’s magic to, guided Sea King to block the enemy’s retreat in the dark deep sea.
He is doing his duty, helping the Justice League achieve victory.
The enemy has been retreating in disarray, heroes have already...
"No..."
Ron discovered sothing unusual.
"Uh, Ron, things are a bit off here." Steel Bone and others defeated the Ape People army, yet Challenger Mountain started shaking violently, roads and buildings in the city almost simultaneously cracked.
"The ground is splitting open." Batman saw sunlight shining down from overhead while in the tunnel.
"Yes, parts of the ground are detaching from the Earth, large buildings and rubble are flying up." Hawk Woman sees most clearly in the sky, many buildings have risen to her altitude, which is the stratosphere.
"I’ve scanned the core, can’t find the cause." Superman imdiately reported the situation.
"Magic isn’t the cause either, Ron, we need..." Diana watched nearby land masses fly up, still growing various island plants on them.
"The whole world! Is about to..." Barry was a bit incredulous.
Ron stood up in the void, his blue cape fluttering without wind: "Calm down, Barry, concentrate and recall the situation you encountered, I will gather and analyze them."
"..."
"I got it."
A gleam flashed through Ron’s eyes, his super brain analyzed all possibilities, he turned around, looking at the Moon not far away.
"The purpose of the Ape People isn’t to magnetize Earth’s poles, but the Moon, they changed Earth’s magnetic field to draw tals within the Moon to rotate, constructing so kind of mass accelerator, then using its counterforce to pull Earth’s fragnts away."
"Mad idea, they’re destroying Earth." Barry imdiately understood the principle, imdiately criticized.
Ron had no ti to explain to Barry, he began to use his transformation ability: "We need to destroy the Moon, I will transform into a Cosmic Giant Dragon, use my massive form to collide with the Moon, anwhile, I need you all to simultaneously detonate the bombs previously buried within the Moon."
"What? There are bombs inside the Moon? How co I didn’t..." Bruce’s voice ca, he sounded sowhat surprised.
"Bruce." Ron calmly repeated Batman’s na, indicating he had seen through everything.
"... Fine." Bruce’s tone returned to deep, indeed, storing a large amount of bombs inside the Moon was his plan.
The Moon as Earth’s satellite, if occupied by alien enemies, would easily beco a foothold for the enemy, so burying enough nuclear weapons to destroy the Moon is the trump card for such adverse situations.
And there is also the ’Watchtower’ on the Moon, if one day it needs to face the Justice League, these bombs would also be part of Batman’s plan.
Batman is always prepared, but it seems now is the ti to use them.
"Thank you." Ron thanked Bruce in the Mind Network, he knew he broke Batman’s plan, yet Batman still prioritized the bigger picture.
Ron flew towards the Moon in giant dragon form, his current form so gigantic that the Moon before him seed no larger than a bathroom.
He suddenly collided with the Moon, pushing it off the trajectory, while Batman, erging from underground expressionlessly, took out a Bat Remote Control from his belt and pressed the button.
A strong light exploded, countries in the night saw the Moon instantly beco a fiery red sun, in a soundless explosion, the Moon fragnted into irregular pieces, completely disintegrating.
The fragnts falling towards Earth were intercepted in the air by Ron, and those land masses flying towards space instantly fell back to their original places.
Earth is safe, but the Moon is gone.
Batman started removing his armor upon reaching the ground, it being heavy and bulky, suffocating him underground.
"They retreated, Clark, Arthur how is it over there?"
Arthur faced more complex issues, he needed to alter all ocean currents, and deal with the leaked toxic water: "I need so more ti here, I’m summoning large marine creatures, harnessing their power."
"No, everyone, the matter isn’t resolved, we need to initiate the Mind Conference Room." Ron returned from dragon form to human, his expression still serious: "Now."
All mbers of the Justice League instantly felt their surroundings change, regardless of where they were before, now, they sat in a cosmic void, surrounding a huge round table.
On the round table was the cross-section emblem of the Hall of Justice, emitting a bluish glow, in fact, on Ron’s planet, this is the closest word to ’justice’.
Indeed, the Mars People never had the word ’justice’, relying on Mind Link, they had very few written words.
And the Mind Link is the root cause of the Mars People’s destruction.
"Wow, this feels so real." Hawk Woman looked around, observing everything curiously.
"Thank you, Sandra, actually this is our first ti using it here, the more we use it, the more real it will beco." Ron spoke calmly.
He knew Sandra hadn’t awakened mories of her past life during the tal incident, so she was working for Wanda Savage and the Eternal Council then.
But now she has rembered, recalling her tragic past, dying countless tis at the hands of Savage.
Now she has defected with so Blackhawk Squadron mbers, considering Hawkman’s sake, everyone still accepted her.
Batman wouldn’t trust her, but her performance in recent battles already demonstrated her reliability and combat prowess.
Barry doesn’t care about such things, he happily hugged Ron’s shoulders: "Hey, buddy, even though I know now I’m only an astral body hugging you, I still must do this, beautifully done, buddy."
"It’s not ti to celebrate yet, Barry." Ron’s shriveled green skeleton face showed a worried expression, he clasped his hands under his chin, resting elbows on the table.
Though it’s consciousness space, his powerful ability ensures everything here is just like reality.
"When I was colliding with the Moon, I felt... a larger darkness hidden in Savage’s plan." Ron quickly explained to the others, all besides Batman looked puzzled at him.
"Yes, this operation, though vast in scale, wasn’t tightly orchestrated, as if hastily launched."
Batman answered this question, he tried to lean back in his chair, letting darkness obscure his face.
