Chapter 274: Chapter 276: Alchemy Bomber, Payload Armor (7200 words) Chapter 274: Chapter 276: Alchemy Bomber, Payload Armor (7200 words) Moonlight Plain, near the Crimson Mage Tower—the Alchemy Factory.

This building, specifically highlighted by Lide, had been completed a month ago.

At this very mont, the goblins who had just been called back were bustling about in this epoch-making factory.

Outside the Alchemy Factory, a sturdy courtyard wall, built five blades high with giant stones, protected the establishnt. The walls had even been enchanted by the spellcasters of Dawn City, with defensive capabilities that left most in awe.

Especially since it was located near the Mage Tower of Dawn City. Should any danger approach, hundreds of mages would definitely drown the enemies at a mont’s notice.

There were currently three main buildings in the Alchemy Factory: one served as a warehouse, another was the production workshop, and one more was dedicated to the final assembly and testing of Alchemy Bombs.

Lide stood on the bluestone ground at the entrance of the warehouse, curiously observing a Magic Language Bat clad in a suit of lightweight armor.

Turning his head, he addressed the Goblin Chief Moer Grey Mountain, who stood 1.3 blades tall beside him.

“Is this the Bomb-carrying Armor you guys developed?”

The Magic Language Bat, with a wingspan of ten blades, was currently dressed in a gray-black armor adorned with the unique somber patterns typical of Dwarves, flickering with a cold, tallic luster.

Beneath the armor, just below the bat’s abdon, two rows of holes, each slightly smaller than basketballs, were arranged; ten aligned vertically per row making a total of twenty. They seed to be slots intended for carrying Alchemy Bombs.

The armor covered the entirety of the Magic Language Bat, excluding its two wings; it closely resembled a…vest.

An odd expression crossed Lide’s face at this thought.

Before donning the armor, the Magic Language Bat looked nacing and ready to kill; however, it now appeared rather awkward and endearingly ugly.

Old Goblin Chief Moer Grey Mountain, whose face had been disfigured by Dragon Breath, wore a trace of pride upon hearing Lide’s question.

“That’s right, your Grace. This is the Bomb-carrying Armor that we developed in collaboration with the Dwarves. It’s designed to carry Alchemy Bombs! We’ve nad it the ‘Black Armor’!”

Upon hearing the na and looking at the inconveniently unsightly armor on the Magic Language Bat, Lide’s mouth twitched violently.

Mmp, perhaps I overestimated your taste.

Goblin aesthetics varied considerably from those of humans, their perspectives fundantally different.

As for their collaborators, the Dwarves—they were a bunch of stubborn fools with rocks for brains, renowned for their sturdiness. They’d forsake all else for solidity. Expecting these two races to jointly create sothing aesthetically pleasing was utterly hopeless.

This was also why the Dwarves were often disdained by Elves—just a bunch of aesthetic-less stones.

“What functions does this armor have??”

Lide decided not to quibble over appearances with these simpletons. Ugly as it was, it would serve the sa purpose once the lights were off—as long as it was functional.

At the ntion of functionality, the grim-faced Goblin Chief imdiately grew excited. “Your Grace, the Black Armor has many powerful features, the most remarkable being that it can automatically load Alchemy Bombs! As long as the Alchemy Bombs are neatly placed at a suitable height, the Magic Language Bat can use a semi-fixed catch to load the bombs by itself, without the need for assistance from others.”

What?

Automatic loading?

Lide took an imdiate interest.

Not bad, young one. You’ve managed sothing rather advanced.

He eagerly continued to inquire, “How does this automatic loading work? Let’s have the Magic Language Bat demonstrate.”

Moer nodded eagerly, his face lit with excitent like a child showcasing his work to an elder.

He gestured to the goblins behind him, and then the thirty human Mage Apprentices assigned by City Hall to help in the Alchemy Factory promptly cooperated with the goblins. Together they rolled out a movable steel fra about 1.5 blades high and approximately 5 blades long from the warehouse.

The unique aspect was that two rows of black Alchemy Bombs were secured onto this tal fra.

Each rack had evenly spaced holes, into which the Alchemy Bombs fit snugly—halfway in, yet not falling through due to their size.

There were clever little catches around the holes, locking the bombs in place so they couldn’t move, but which allowed for easy removal.

A rather ingenious design.

“This is your automated loading system?”

Lide watched the scene unfold with interest.

“That’s correct, your Grace. And now, please witness the great invention born from the cooperation between goblins and dwarves! This is a miraculous alchemy creation!” Moer exclaid, swelling with excitent and a smug pride.

Once the rack, loaded with Alchemy Bombs, was secured in place and wouldn’t slide, the Mage Apprentices and goblins quickly stepped aside.

Then, under the watchful eyes of all, the Magic Language Bat in the Charging Armor stood up and slowly approached the tal fra.

Boasting massive claws, the Magic Language Bat stood about 3.5 to 4 blades tall, with its abdon roughly 1.6 to 1.7 blades from the ground.

It was the perfect height to approach the tal fra.

Lide watched this perfectly matched setup with a curious expression—goblins and dwarves might churn out ugly creations, but these contained technical substance.

Under Lide’s gaze, the Magic Language Bat slightly crouched down, aligning itself so that a slightly raised steel plate at the fra’s front end held the Bat’s armor in place. Its underside holes now directly aligned with the Alchemy Bombs.

With a downward pressure from its massive body, the Alchemy Bombs were pushed neatly into the armor’s holes, followed by a click sound.

And just like that, twenty Alchemy Bombs were loaded seamlessly into the Magic Language Bat’s armor.

The bombs were mostly enclosed within the armor, with only a small part revealed outside, now secured by the internal chanisms, ensuring they wouldn’t fall out.

The Bat then stood up straight; the entire automatic loading process had taken a re twenty or so seconds.

After witnessing the demonstration, Lide couldn’t help but clap in amazent. The ingenuity of the indigenous inhabitants was remarkable—they had co up with such an “automatic loading” system in an era of pure chanics, and the entire process was flawlessly smooth without any apparent flaws.

Impressive, to say the least.

He certainly couldn’t have conceived of such a clever operation himself.

“If you need to release the bombs, how does it work?”

Loading the ammunition was just the first step; next and more importantly was dropping the bombs. Lide could not imagine how this armor could release the alchemy bombs from within.

Surely not manually? Wouldn’t that be too primitive?

Speaking of this issue, Moer was even prouder.

“Your Majesty, this suit of armor is custom-designed for the Magic Language Bats.

As long as the Magic Language Bat can move, it can drop bombs automatically.”

Mmp, why don’t you explain the principle, Lide thought with a grimace.

Seeing Lide’s displeased expression, Moer dared not beat around the bush any longer and hurriedly began to explain.

“When we were researching and developing armor with the Dwarves, we discovered that Magic Language Bats have trendous control over their bodies.

Because they often need to fly and turn in the air, they can easily control every muscle and bone in their body!”

“And then what?”

“Then, we forged this armor based on that!” There was a hint of mad scientist in Moer’s eyes.

“Each suit of armor has a chanism inside. As long as the Magic Language Bat flexes its muscles to press that switch, the switch holding the alchemy bombs inside the armor will release, and the bomb will fall.

The imnse force from the falling alchemy bomb will pull off the attached ring, completing the last step of bombing.

Each alchemy bomb is positioned in a spot where the Magic Language Bat can exert the most force…”

Damn cool.

At this point, Lide could find no better description than to swear in awe.

Isn’t this biological armor? Using biological characteristics to research armor suitable for the subject.

Isn’t this just a bit too exaggerated?

And you all managed to research this out.

Although the principle seems simple, without enough creativity and vision, it’s not possible to craft armor this well-matched to the Magic Language Bat with such a straightforward technology.

It must be said that the goblin and Dwarf alliance truly exceeded his expectations; these two short-statured races sparked quite a different kind of fireworks.

The intelligence of the Magic Language Bats, after being cultivated by the Bloodline, was not low—equivalent to a human child of about eleven or twelve years old, they could definitely handle the job.

However, Lide did not stop his questioning there.

“What if there is a mistake, like a jam, and the alchemy bomb doesn’t fall?”

Moer’s pride swelled even more.

“Your Majesty, we’ve already considered this point and specially modified the alchemy bombs.

The alchemy bombs carried by the Magic Language Bats will not explode just by pulling the ring; instead, they require a violent collision to detonate.

That ans even if there’s a jam, and the bomb isn’t dropped, it won’t harm the Magic Language Bat. All that’s needed is to remove the alchemy bomb after returning.

Moreover, this armor has an extrely powerful capability—doffing.

As long as the Magic Language Bat simultaneously contracts muscles in four parts of its body to touch hidden catches inside the armor, the armor will co off directly, avoiding any slowdown in flight speed that could occur if encountering a strong foe and needing to escape.”

Lide showed a glimr of surprise; this design was indeed good, even considering the possibility of escape.

But he did not stop there and continued his relentless questioning.

“Will carrying twenty alchemy bombs affect the agility and flight speed of the Magic Language Bat? If not, is it possible to carry more?”

“Your Majesty, this is the optimal load determined after hundreds of tests. Here we balanced flight speed and agility. Without significantly affecting the Magic Language Bat, twenty alchemy bombs are the best choice.”

“What’s the extre number of alchemy bombs that can be loaded?”

“Forty—a double increase!

However, the speed of the Magic Language Bat would drop to the extre, and its flight altitude would not exceed 500 blades.”

“Is there an alternative armor?”

“Currently, there’s only this one…”

“If the bomb-carrying Magic Language Bat encounter interception by enemy air forces, what ans do they have to respond…”

“They can dispatch so for protection, so for charging…”

“…”

Lide inquired with extre detail, even down to whether the weather would affect mounting, the bombing speed, loading speed, and the cost of accompanying equipnt… and so on and so forth, without overlooking anything.

In the end, he received quite satisfying answers.

This charging armor had several advantages.

First, the loading speed was fast—equipped with an automatic loading device, it took only about 30 seconds for the Magic Language Bat to finish loading, and this ti even included the ti from landing to takeoff.

Second, bombing was quick—as soon as the Magic Language Bat started operating, it could drop all twenty alchemy bombs within a second, causing massive damage.

Third, it did not affect the flight speed—the armor design was very aerodynamic and had limited impact on the flight of the Magic Language Bat. Moreover, it could also be quickly taken off in the most crucial monts; this was invaluable.

Fourth, it was cost-effective—the whole set of armor, including the loading asures, cost only 50 Gold Pucks to produce, allowing for mass production.

These advantages made this first-generation armor et Lide’s requirents although it was a bit ugly, the practicality was very strong.

For this reason, he nad the suit of armor Air Force One.

Having a number one implied there would be a two or three; by the ti he developed number 100, Dawn City’s Air Force system would surely be the nightmare of all ground troops.

“Co on, let’s go for a test flight; I want to see the power of this suit of armor for myself.”

Lide was not about to continue with theory alone; once Moer finished introducing, he imdiately had the remaining four Magic Language Bats in the factory ard.

Then he called for more than a dozen Magic Language Bats, ready to test out the armor’s prowess with a group of people.

Of course, to be safe, Lide rode on Castro and did not sit on the loaded Magic Language Bat.

After all, the armor had just been developed and had not yet been mass-produced.

In case production was not up to standard and sothing went wrong… Although at his current level of strength, even a direct hit from an alchemy bomb wouldn’t threaten his life, but it would be rather embarrassing to be covered in soot and dust.

Castro flapped his wings, leading a group of subordinates with Stanley, Moer, plus about ten goblins and several human Mage Apprentices all sitting on the back of the Magic Language Bat.

Several of the Mage Apprentices who had never ridden a Magic Language Bat scread in fright from the flight through the air, adding a jovial atmosphere to the skies.

Castro’s destination was the as-of-yet undeveloped Dawn Plain.

The area of Dawn City had the geography of a gourd, comprised of two plains; the upper portion was the under-developnt Moonlight Plain, and the lower was the vast expanse of the Dawn Plain.

The enormous plain, 150 kiloters long and 60 kiloters wide, still bore its prival appearance at this ti.

This place had once been a hunting ground for the Magic Language Bats and was also the future direction of developnt for Dawn City.

Of course, the future may still be very distant, considering that even a small place like the Moonlight Plain still had vast tracts of land undeveloped, the notion of initiating the developnt of the Dawn Plain without the support of hundreds of thousands of people was virtually impossible.

In Lide’s estimation, planning might start in five years, and it wouldn’t be until eight, or even ten years later, that Dawn City would have the strength to support the developnt of the Dawn Plain.

To open up such an extensive tract of land was not sothing that Dawn City could currently support.

Even if the inco from the Magic Factory increased to 500,000 Gold Pucks per month, it still wouldn’t suffice for the developnt of that land.

Dawn City developed from the foundations of the ancient Bloodline castle; the groundwork of which Bloodline spent hundreds of years establishing, and they essentially stood on the shoulders of a giant.

If they were to develop the Dawn Plain, it ant starting from scratch and building bit by bit. The difficulty of the two tasks was not conceptually comparable.

Whoosh, whoosh~

Castro spread his bat wings and soared wantonly through the air, flying over the Moonlight Plain, where extensive wheat fields swayed in waves under the caress of the spring breeze.

The view from high above was visually overwhelming, resembling the most fantastical scenes from fairytales.

In just a few wing beats, they traversed the Dawn Plain, then imdiately entered the neck of the gourd-shaped terrain, a narrow corridor stretching for 5 kiloters.

The passage felt as oppressive as flying through a valley ford by two palms erected on a table surface.

Towering peaks rose steeply on either side like erect blades, and grey-white rocks veiled by vegetation in the crevices resembled the tough skin of giants.

Brightly colored birds occasionally flew past above, but Castro’s emanating presence quickly scattered the creatures, who took off in all directions in fear.

The ground was covered in a canopy of green vegetation, with no signs of human habitation, all breathing with a pristine aura.

It was also Lide’s first ti here, and he found everything very fresh, turning his head to take in the views of the land that belonged to him.

The five-kiloter stretch flashed by in an instant at high speed.

As they burst out of the corridor, everyone’s view suddenly opened up.

A plain as flat as a green carpet stretched out of sight, with only an indescribably towering mountain in the far distance, a peak that seed to puncture the heavens, blanketed in snow.

Like a stone tower connecting heaven and earth, it was majestic and magnificent, dwarving the surrounding mountains.

Lide briefly estimated that the main peak must be one of the highest in the Far Mountain Range, rising at least seven or eight thousand blades.

It was at least three or four hundred kiloters away from the Dawn Plain, and had it not been for the clear weather and cloudless skies, he would not have been able to see such distant mountain ranges.

The geography of Dawn City was like a cake cut in the middle with towering mountains of three thousand blades guarding the land from all sides.

To fly in from above, one would first have to traverse the towering mountain ranges spanning hundreds of kiloters and reaching three thousand blades in height.

Aside from entering Dawn City from the front, flying into the city from the rear was nearly an impossible task.

Because of the presence of magic elents, most living creatures couldn’t reach a height of two thousand blades above the ground.

The magic elents in the high altitude could easily tear steel apart in the raging winds.

Only a giant dragon, a being powerful to the extre, could fly to a height of three thousand blades, but giant dragons weren’t easy to find, and the Far Mountain Range had never shown signs of a giant dragon.

After briefly sizing up the towering peak, Lide withdrew his gaze; today was not a day for sightseeing.

He glanced around with the corner of his eye a few tis, and casually pointed at a grassy mound on the ground.

“Go, start your performance.”

For so reason, there weren’t many trees in the plains of Dawn, mostly towering wild grass and vines, rather than a primitive forest.

The Magic Language Bats upon which Moer and Stanley were sitting had also flown next to Lide, but both bats dared not get too close to Castro.

Upon hearing Lide’s order, both of them felt a sense of anticipation.

Moer was looking forward to showcasing the goblin’s masterpiece in front of Lide and hoped to gain more of his favor.

anwhile, Stanley was eager to see if the Alchemy Bomb and Bomb-carrying Armor, these two major weapons, could bring him a surprise, since he now was one of the major powerholders in Dawn City. Who knows when he might need such power in the future?

The Bloodline riding on the Magic Language Bats imdiately commanded the bats to move forward upon receiving Lide’s instruction. The bats, flapping their huge leathery wings, did not slow down noticeably. In just over a dozen seconds, they reached the destination Lide had indicated, and then, the Bloodline gave the command to bomb.

The armor under the five Magic Language Bats banged and clanged.

The partially exposed Alchemy Bombs were instantaneously released from their restraints.

Then, like laying eggs, over a hundred black Alchemy Bombs plumted swiftly.

After the Magic Language Bats flew past that area, it took just a few seconds for all the Alchemy Bombs to be dropped.

The Alchemy Bombs fell from a height of over a thousand blades to the ground in less than ten seconds.

The ground rumbled violently—

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Clouds of earth and grass shot into the air, startling flocks of birds flying all around.

The ground shook, and the terrifying explosions caused an exceedingly exaggerated reaction in the area, with forceful blasts rippling one after another, tearing and flipping the grass and plants around as if they were made of paper.

The dense smoke made the surroundings look like the end of days had arrived.

Bang bang bang—

The area around that hill, for hundreds of blades in every direction, had been thoroughly swept by Alchemy Bombs, and the land was completely shattered.

The scene was incredibly violent.

After a short while, the thunderous explosions ceased, and the setting fell into a deathly silence.

Long after the thick smoke had cleared, Lide looked at the countless huge pits in the ground with a sowhat astonished expression.

The area around the small mound had been bombed by Alchemy Bombs, and the dense craters made it look as though the parched sandy soil had been pocked with bowl-shaped holes after rainfall.

Within the range of hundreds of blades, all signs of life had been extinguished, and the ground had been forcefully overturned.

This kind of destructive power was no less than that of the large composite magic used by the military. However, unlike the large composite magic that required a calculation based on Sunshine Hour, deploying a bomb only took a re ten or so seconds.

But the only thing in the scene that irked Lide was that at the very top of the small hillock, a tree as tall as three blades high remained completely undamaged.

Everything around had been destroyed, yet only the most central area stood firm.

Seeing this, Lide’s mouth twitched.

damn it, the accuracy was really worriso.

In the future, he must have the Air Force strengthen their practice.

But overall, he was still very satisfied with the Bomb-carrying Armor they had developed this ti.

Although there were many defects and many points needed improvent, the benefits were equally dazzling.

Dawn Wings, from now on, would truly beco the wings of Dawn City, defending the skies of Dawn City.

Stanley, who also witnessed this scene, revealed a thoughtful expression.

In fact, the recent devastating explosion really gave him quite a scare.

Such a terrifying attack, even for him, once faced with this level of bombardnt, would at the least be severely injured if not dead.

Looking at the densely packed craters on the ground, his mouth twitched harshly.

It was only then that he understood why Lide had always placed such emphasis on Alchemy Bombs and the Air Force; their power was too great to ignore.

Moreover, the attack efficiency of the Alchemy Bomb was extrely high. How long did it take from the bomb drop to the explosion?? Compared to magic that required a lengthy spellcasting ti, it had far too much advantage.

If 1000 Magic Language Bats dropped bombs at the sa ti, no one could withstand that damage.

But Lide, at this mont, thought of a different point, his excited expression slightly solidified because he realized he might have celebrated too soon.

“One Alchemy Bomb costs 25 Gold Pucks, and 100 pieces is 2500… I just spent 2500 Gold Pucks in one experint…”

Lide’s heart suddenly bled.

The Demon Beast skins he had just purchased from the Centaur Tribe hadn’t even been transported to Green City to exchange for Gold Pucks.

Given the current Gold Puck reserves of Dawn City, this consumption was definitely significant.

And by that calculation, one battle would at least consu thousands of Alchemy Bombs, right? 25 per bomb, a thousand bombs would be over twenty thousand Gold Pucks.

If it was a sowhat larger battle, that number could be even more exaggerated.

At present, the total number of Magic Language Bats allocated to Dawn Wings was 500. If all were to engage in bomb dropping, that would be 10,000 Alchemy Bombs in one go, amounting to 250,000 Gold Pucks.

A wry smile flashed across Lide’s eyes; this wasn’t just any ordinary war—it was an outright money-burning endeavor.

He hadn’t felt it before because back then, he had ample financial resources. But after transforming and spending over a million Gold Pucks, becoming poor afterwards, he started to feel the pinch.

“If we keep this up, Dawn City might go bankrupt. No, we need to speed up the money-making process.”

Lide vaguely sensed an economic crisis looming over Dawn City in the not-too-distant future. It wasn’t that he wasn’t excellent at making money, but now every part of Dawn City needed funds.

Plus, with the imminent construction of a new city district, once this gold-devouring behemoth was set in motion, it would consu the entire economy of Dawn City.

Thus, it was necessary to accelerate the conquest of the Dwarf hills and make a few profitable ventures to recover so funds.

Otherwise, he would truly beco so poor that he couldn’t even afford to use Alchemy Bombs.

After the test was completed, everyone returned to the Alchemy Factory with different emotions in their hearts.

After dismounting from the Magic Language Bats, Moer, the goblin chief, had not let his head drop the entire ti.

The honor was simply too great.

Whether it was the alchemy bombs or the bomb-carrying armors, both had perford perfectly in their power, and most crucially, the alchemy bombs were goblin products, and goblins had also been involved in the design of the Bomb-carrying Armor. Both had connections to them.

This directly activated the pride in the old goblin’s heart.

Lide watched Moer’s deanor with so amusent; goblin personalities were truly exceptional.

“Moer, you all did very well. Both the Alchemy Bombs and the Bomb-carrying Armor have won my approval.

In the future, an independent departnt will be established in the Alchemy Factory that will be accountable only to . I will directly govern you all.

City Hall will prioritize providing the resources needed by the Alchemy Factory.”

Moer’s smile was as radiant as a chrysanthemum flower.

“Your Highness, your insight is enough to make the Creator God exclaim!! Goblins will not let you down, I swear to the Life Goddess!”

Lide nodded, “In half a month, Dawn City will engage in a war. Within this half-month, you need to produce at least 2000 Alchemy Bombs.” He then turned his head to Stanley.

“Stanley, go inform the weapons factory that after producing the Magic Language Bat Bomb-carrying Armor, they need to produce armor for the centaurs.

I need all the Magic Language Bats of Dawn Wings to be equipped with Air Force One in the shortest ti possible.”

“Yes, Your Highness.”

After arranging the two tasks, Lide breathed a sigh of relief.

The pace had been quite rapid these few days, but after having slept for three months and wasting so much precious ti, he had to respond sincerely.

There was just too much to do.

Looking at Stanley in front of him, Lide was about to speak when the system prompt brightened his eyes.

“Ding, your Bloodline Frey Kachaer has successfully changed profession to Crimson Hunter. The power of the Bloodline has increased, and you have gained 1000 experience points.”

The exclusive hidden profession for the Bloodline had finally been successfully changed.

Lide imdiately turned around excitedly and headed to City Hall.

The Bloodline’s ace was about to erge.

He was going to witness this mont.

Crimson Hunter, he was eager to know just how terrifying these Bloodline individuals would beco after changing profession to this overwhelmingly powerful profession.
