Chapter 228: Chapter 229: The Rich Dad’s Crushing Equipnt Advantage Over the Poor Beastman (Long Chapter)
Betty’s spirit slowly began to soar.
Although she had once slain a Level 19 Molten Demon with two swords, that was the result of Level 17 Shadow High Priest Kolong’s use of Transformation Skill, which left him with imnse strength but unable to exert even half the combat power of a Molten Demon.
But the Cap Lion in front of her was different; he was the king of tens of thousands of Beastman warriors, a super boss born from iron and blood.
Even as Cap Lion sat motionless on his mount, he conveyed a trendous sense of crisis to Betty.
The combat strength of this Level 18 Lion-man King was at least several tis stronger than that of the transford Level 19 Molten Demon.
Not a creature of the sa level.
This is the full display of Level 18 combat power.
Grote, standing behind Cap Lion, had an extrely grave expression on his face. This Bloodline who had beco the Child of the North felt a lethal danger.
This was an opponent powerful enough to end him at any mont.
An indescribable terror.
The battle started just a few seconds after the two sides t.
Enraged Cap Lion, without wasting words, drove the King of Wolves straight towards the more than three hundred Bloodline Spellcasters casting spells.
He swung wildly with a broad three-bladed giant sword in hand.
Only fresh blood could pay tribute to the deceased tribesn.
Whoosh~
The sound of the air being torn apart ca.
A wild-eyed, battle-eager figure beautifully intercepted his path.
A faint glow surrounded Betty, her actions devoid of hesitation, her Northern Royal Bloodline activated.
Betty Smollett
Title: Northern Pearl…
Northern Land Valkyrie (The strongest female warrior from the Northern Lands, possessing impeccable combat skills and a powerful Bloodline, specializing in various weapons, with combat skills elevated to Legendary)
Age: 27
Level: 16
Profession: Northern Warrior
Bloodline: Northern Royal Bloodline, with Extraordinary Trait: Fearless.
Activating the Bloodline makes one immune to pain and mind-affecting spells, enhances the Extraordinary Trait: Fearless by threefold, increases strength by 100%, and boosts stamina and life recovery rates by 1000%, enabling one to harness the Bloodline’s power to heal bodily injuries, duration: the Sunshine Hour.
Introduction:…
Extraordinary Trait: Fearless, valiant warriors imbued with supre damage in every attack. The stronger the will, the higher the damage inflicted.
The huge sword in Betty’s hand burst into a dazzling light, her sharp gaze fixed tightly on the Beastman King atop the wolf.
Her muscles compressed like springs, power condensed into a focal point, and then exploded.
Her body left behind over a dozen afterimages as the gleam of her sword tore the sky.
On the wolf, Cap Lion’s murderous intent surged, a faint golden glow emanating from his body, paired with the mane of the Lion, his montum surged once more.
The wolf dashed forward rapidly.
Betty leapt into the air.
The greatsword and the giant knife crossed in midair.
Clang~
A massive wave of air burst forth, Betty felt a terrifying force hit her, her face changed, and without ti to react, she was forcibly sent flying by the Beastman King. Her delicate body cruelly slamd into a grey boulder covered with moss on the side. The boulder shattered with a thunderous noise under the horrific impact, scattering stones and soil.
Cap Lion, however, was not feeling comfortable either. His mount struggled not to fall under the imnse power unleashed by Betty’s attack, the extre damage from the attack causing discomfort in the chest of the Beastman ruler.
Behind her, Grote didn’t hesitate for a mont and activated his Fearless Bloodline the instant the battle began.
Blood of Fearlessness: Activating the Bloodline makes one immune to pain and mind-affecting spells, increases stamina and life recovery rates by 500%,
enhances Magic Resistance by 200%, boosts strength by 60%, and in the darkness, recovery rates increase by an extra 1000%. One can harness the Bloodline’s power to heal bodily injuries, duration: 30 minutes.
Before Cap Lion could catch his breath, he felt a bone-chilling murderous intent from behind, making his mane stand on end.
The enormous Lion head turned, a cold glint in his eyes, and the long knife in his hand did not pause, swinging directly, its blade glowing faintly golden – both lavish and fatal.
Clang~
Grote, prepared, collided with the hastily reacting Beastman King, but to his surprise, even with his Bloodline activated, he couldn’t withstand the terrifying strength of Cap Lion, and the recoil nearly made Grote drop his greatsword.
Cap Lion’s mount pressed low to the ground, leaving deep footprints behind, demonstrating that Grote’s attack was not entirely ineffective.
Thump~ When Grote was sent flying, Betty was already swinging her sword in attack once more.
The attack did not cease.
The well-coordinated Northern Warriors used their formidable strength to stall the footsteps of Cap Lion, the king of the Beastn, just a few hundred blades away from the Bloodline spellcasters.
“Damned Northerners!! You’re seeking death!!”
Cap Lion glared at the far-off Bloodline still casting spells, filled with unwillingness, but he knew he couldn’t hunt those vampires without dealing with these two Northern Warriors first.
“Since you’re courting death, then I shall grant it to you!!”
After stroking the grey and lustrous fur on the back of his mount’s neck, Cap Lion charged towards Betty.
This Level 16 Northern Warrior had given him considerable pressure.
Aim to kill the strongest!!
Murderous intent surged in his dark eyes.
The golden glow on his body was resplendent and majestic, paired with the Lion’s mane, like a golden Lion King coming to the world.
Once Cap Lion unleashed himself, the battle imdiately escalated to an even more terrifying stage.
Level 16 Northern Land Valkyrie Level 16 Northern Warrior VS Level 18 Beastman King
The towering trees around them fell like harvested wheat under the aftermath of their battle, and the sound of crashing was incessant.
Dirt and boulders were flung about, and the earth cracked open inch by inch.
With Betty and Grote consciously guiding the fight, the three’s battle beca more and more intense but also moved further and further from the Bloodline spellcasters’ position.
Above the skies in front of Dwarf City.
That red cloud ford by magic grew wider, even covering a third of the Dwarf City within it.
The sky’s flas were like falling teors, each giant fireball plumting down with a long trail of fla.
The dense Beastman army suffered extre devastation; even the tough Advanced Warriors were grievously injured after being engulfed by the explosion of fireballs, and many more were burnt to cinders by the flas.
No one could remain calm in the face of such a natural disaster.
The pitch-black ground blazed with fierce fire,
and the scorched, shriveled bodies gave off a pungent, unpleasant stench, with smoke from the burning earth mixed with dust choking the nostrils.
The scene was as if demons had descended from the abyss, intending to destroy the entire world.
Such was the power of Spellcasters.
This was why the status of Mages was far higher than that of warriors.
Once groups of Spellcasters ford a squadron and cast spells together, their power alone could dictate the outco of a war!
Led by the 15th Level Shadow High Priest Emi and 15th Level Dark Priest Stanley, together with over a hundred 7th~9th Level Third Generation Bloodline and two hundred 3rd~4th Level Fourth Generation Bloodline mbers,
they all drank Magic Blood and had prepared this large-scale Composite Magic—a Four Circle Spell: teor Fire Rain—the previous day.
The terrifying destructive power of an apocalyptic magnitude caused tens of thousands of Beastman troops to collapse outright.
By comparison, the furious attacks of the mighty Steel Giants, Kolong and Castro, rely caused chaos among the Beastn,
and once the Beastn had reacted, they would even beco targets for the Beastn’s hunting.
But the appearance of the Spellcasters directly led to the collapse of Beastn’s power.
A warrior’s individual combat strength was not weak, but it seed too insignificant in the face of a war with tens of thousands.
Even a behemoth like Kolong, once entangled by a certain number of troops, could only exert limited power.
But once Spellcasters were given space and ti to cast their spells, they could directly determine the direction of the war.
This was why Mage lords held such high status, as they were a strategic force.
Castro was extrely excited at this mont, exuding the Dignity of the Dawn Bat King amidst the blazing flas of the sky.
The thick armor made him impervious to the celestial fireballs; his Extraordinary Magic Resistance immune to spells below the fourth circle ensured even the scorching of Magic did not harm him.
Instead, clothed in flas, his destructive power was even stronger.
For this, he even used Magic to cloak his armor in flas.
Boom—another building was brutally collapsed, burying the Beastn hiding inside.
Part of the Beastn may have fled into the Dwarf City, but Castro’s huge body and irresistible power caused crushing damage to them.
Without the limits imposed on high-level combatants, this Steel Giant faced no pressure at all when confronting Beastn below Level 15.
It was an outright massacre, devoid of any rcy.
Bang, bang, bang—
As Castro once again dove toward a street jam-packed with Beastn, the sound of giant arrows tearing through the air reached him.
The Beastn hiding in the shadows had combined all the siege crossbows within the city; these were the only weapons capable of injuring these Steel Giants, the desperate hope of salvation for the Beastn.
The siege crossbows, thick as a man’s arm, were terrifying weapons that could pierce city walls, unable to be blocked even by the heavy shields of warriors.
Under the excited gazes of the Beastn below, bang, bang, bang—
The beast did not dodge the siege crossbow’s attack and was hit!!
Just when their spirits soared with blood-fueled joy for a re second, the next mont everyone’s hands and feet went cold as thuds—like eggs smashing against a rock.
The siege crossbows, capable of piercing city walls, shattered upon striking the armor on Castro’s abdon.
The huge impact only left a few small indentations on the armor.
The defense was impenetrable!
Dozens of bolts, the siege crossbow that the Beastn saw as their killer weapon, were utterly incapable of harming this giant beast.
The overwhelming montum instantly collapsed in that mont.
All the Beastn operating the siege crossbows were filled with nothing but despair, their precious opportunity for an attack wasted, their hoped salvation of a weapon rendered ineffective!?
The siege crossbows couldn’t even penetrate the opponent’s armor?!
What kind of monster was this?? Why was its armor so incredibly tough??
Who could possibly defeat such a steel behemoth??
Even before Castro launched a counterattack, the Beastn had already fallen into despair.
Although Castro wasn’t injured, the great impact still rocked his body, and with a fierce turn of his head, he looked down at the Beastn trying to reload and prepare to attack him again.
Rage was burning in his heart.
“Are you welcoming the arrival of death?!”
With a single turn, his massive body attacked the Dwarves’ ballista.
The Dawn Bat, despite being clad in heavy armor and having a huge body, did not lose its agility, for bats are naturally agile creatures.
Castro might no longer count as an ordinary bat, but his body remained flexible.
Shadows enveloped the Beastn once again; under the assault of ten fireballs per second, the ballistae were ablaze.
After launching a single ranged attack, Castro closed in on the Beastn’s ballistae, his terrifying form with a 16-blade wingspan delivering even deadlier physical strikes to these despairing Beastn.
The few remaining dozens of ballistae beca charred remains after just two swoops from Castro.
And the Beastn on this clearing all beca food for the Death God.
From this point on, there was no one left in the city who could withstand the dive of this burgeoning sovereign’s bat wings.
On the open ground outside the Dwarf City, Kolong’s battle was even more ferocious than Castro’s.
No one could harm Kolong, who wore 8 tons of armor of perfect ★★★ quality, just a step away from Extraordinary Quality.
The powerful siege crossbow bolts that could penetrate human shields made only a ding and clang against Kolong’s armor without leaving the slightest mark.
Beastn’s long knives would shatter upon attempting to split the armor; the tips of spears thrust at it would break off.
Pure equipnt suppression.
The only one who could make Kolong pause briefly was the Level 16 Werewolf Warrior—Craig Shadow Hunter.
But because of the vast difference in equipnt, Craig’s rely Rare quality long knife couldn’t cause much damage to the perfect-quality armor.
The werewolf could only leave a trail of fine marks on the armor, which had no effect on the several tens of centiters thick defense.
However, the difference was that once Kolong got a chance, the werewolf would suffer a fatal blow.
No one could withstand the damage caused by the swing of a giant wielding a seven-blade high sword.
Originally, Kolong was more suited to wield heavy weapons like giant hamrs and wolf fang clubs, but Lide had Master Valen forge these two greatswords in order to increase his killing power against lower-level troops.
Kolong, now equipped with sharp weapons, beca even more dangerous in battle.
Craig, the Level 16 werewolf, could only skirmish in battle, distracting Kolong, this massive creature, from the side, not daring to engage him head-on.
The One-eyed Giant’s racial talents far surpassed those of the Beastman, these massive beings might have lost so agility, but their strength was incomparable to creatures of ordinary stature.
Kolong could easily wield his sword to produce a massive force of more than ten tons, and even reach several dozens of tons in a full-force outbreak—enough to split mountains and crack stones.
This led to a situation that made Craig extrely angry, his attacks on Kolong were essentially ineffective because he couldn’t break through the several-centiters-thick heavy armor.
Yet, if Kolong managed to hit him, that would result in a fatal wound.
War was never fair, the armor cost 100,000 Gold Pucks to make, and naturally Craig, a pauper wielding an ordinary Dwarf-forged weapon, couldn’t compare.
This wasn’t just a matter of racial advantage—it was the crushing dominance of Dawn City over the Beastman Tribe.
Behind Kolong stood Lide, the master of Dawn City, who had endless wealth and countless resources at his disposal.
Behind Craig stood the impoverished Lion Tribe, so poor they couldn’t even secure food for their people and had to rely on hunting for survival.
If the Beastman’s bodies weren’t much stronger than humans’, and if the barren wastelands had anything of value, these Beastn’s lives would probably be even more miserable.
The magic above continued to unleash its might.
The red cloud of magic still expanded.
Kolong had already charged into the range of the teor Fire Rain spell, excitedly hacking at the fleeing Beastn.
Dense fireballs carried the breath of death and ravaged across the land.
The Beastman army, originally numbering in tens of thousands, had now been scattered, and no one knew the extent of their casualties, with corpses littered everywhere.
Smoke veiled the land as the Death God’s scythe harvested lives rcilessly.
The spellcasters, under the witness of two Steel Giants, yet again demonstrated their nobility and strength with the magic that decided the direction of the war.

“Chief Rabi, a war is taking place outside!! Have our reinforcents arrived??”
Masi Hamr rushed into the cramped house, looking at Rabiao Hamr, King of the Dwarfs, whose hands were tightly clutching the window rail, gazing at the magical red cloud in the distant sky.
Rabiao’s eyes shone with an excitent unimaginable to outsiders, he forcefully bit his teeth and spun his head around.
“It must be the reinforcents brought by Master Valen!!
Masi, send a few clan mbers who have shaken off their shackles to scout for news, and also keep an eye on the Beastman army’s movents. If reinforcents have arrived, we will imdiately join the battle!!”
Despite his intense desire for revenge against those damned Beastn, Rabiao did not act rashly.
Since he had not received any secret ssage, he could not confirm whether the troops battling the Beastn were Dwarven reinforcents.
“If they are not reinforcents, then we will not partake in this war. I will take our people and leave through the secret passage.
Masi, go and get all the Human Clan ready.”
Regardless, whether or not it was Dwarven reinforcents, the war outside had definitely drawn a considerable amount of the Beastman’s army.
This was the dwarves’ best chance to break free from the beastn, and Chief Rabi wasn’t willing to wait any longer.
No one could enslave the dwarves!
As long as he could get away, one day these damned beastn would taste the dwarves’ fury.
“Yes,” Massi said with a tinge of excitent as he turned and left.
Less than a minute after Massi left, the beastn imdiately tightened their control over the dwarves.
But Rabi didn’t care; his deep-set eyes, hidden under his black beard, stared intently at the increasingly massive red clouds in the sky.
And at the huge demon beast that swept beneath the red magical clouds.
What kind of power could command such a terrifying demon beast??
Chief Rabi clenched his fists tightly; he was waiting for his clansn…
The sha of enslavent would be washed away by blood!!!

Boom~
Betty’s greatsword, unparalleled in sharpness, glowed faintly with unstoppable force as it cleaved toward Cap, the Beastman King, who agilely dodged the ferocious strike. The greatsword cut through a giant tree that took five n to encircle.
Rumble~ The collapse of the big tree toppled another smaller tree beside it, scattering wood chips and dirt.
Cap didn’t counterattack; instead, his long sword struck fiercely at Groth, who was attacking. The faint golden light flickered on the blade, deadly and dangerous.
Groth’s greatsword, usually invincible, had no intention of dodging Cap’s attack, and its blade, glimring with extre brilliance, was equally terrifying.
Injury for injury, in a narrow path the brave prevail.
Cap had an indomitable aura about him, an absolute confidence and dominance that ca from being an 18th level warrior, the king of the Beastman Tribe.
But the Northern warriors were fearless, undaunted.
Even when facing a giant dragon, they would dare to charge, being the foremost among the three glorious warriors; they would never step back from an enemy.
Zila~
Blood spurted: Groth’s shoulder was split open by the cold blade, a deep wound revealing bone, while Groth’s greatsword left a bloody, flesh-torn scar on Cap’s chest.
As they crossed paths, Cap twisted his body against logic, compressing like a spring before explosively lunging out, delivering a kick filled with imnse brute force to Groth’s back.
The Northern warrior’s body flew away with terrifying speed and smashed three trees large enough for several n to embrace before crashing to the ground, dragging along a ten-blade-length bloody track.
One for one, Groth was gravely injured, Cap slightly wounded.
The king of the Beastman Tribe was formidable indeed.
And at this mont, the fighting spirit on Betty’s face grew even more intense.
The extre brilliance on her body surged; the stronger the enemy, the more it stirred the wild fighting spirit in her heart.
On her delicate face, those black eyes were full of the will to fight.
“Fight!”
After uttering a single word, she descended like a hawk swooping down from the sky to catch its prey, her speed so fast that she left more than ten afterimages in the blink of an eye.
Cap didn’t hesitate for a second, his foot kicked off the body of Wolf King beneath him, leaving the mount he had been riding.
He also charged at an unbelievable speed towards this Northern Land Valkyrie with incredibly powerful combat skills.
He wanted to personally slaughter this Northern female warrior!
Because the strength of this woman had earned his recognition.
It was the Beastman’s nature to hunt the strong, and he intended to treasure the woman’s head.
Like the mane of a lion, each strand stood erect, a pale golden glow enveloping his body. The Beastman king who ruled over a powerful tribe now resembled a lion king cast in gold.
Mighty and dignified.
Clang, clang, clang~
In the air, the figures of the two combatants instantly blurred, their speed and combat skills beyond anyone’s sight.
Terrifying shockwaves erupted between the two shadowy figures, and the towering trees around them collapsed like wheat in a frenzy.
The two figures, now devoid of any trace, battled so fiercely the ground beneath them split, a web of cracks densely spreading across the earth.
Scars from blades, gashes from swords, a new one appeared every second, turning the once verdant forest, within a hundred blades’ radius, into a desolate wasteland.
Betty was two levels below Cap, constantly pressed by the strength of the Beastman king.
Yet, this Valkyrie, employing her Legendary Level combat skills, managed to hold her own against Cap’s superior strength, especially after activating her Northern Royal Bloodline.
Moreover, with her Bloodline’s terrifying ability to heal, she was not at a disadvantage in this battle between Level 16 and 18.
This was the full combat power of a Level 18, not so trash like a Level 19 Molten Demon in its transford state.
Betty once again demonstrated why she was the foremost among the three great warriors of Glory.
The indescribable might of a Level 16 warrior taking on a Level 18 Beastman king.
“Grayclaw, go kill their Spellcasters!”
Boom~
Cap cleaved through Betty’s fierce attack and turned his head sharply towards a Level 15 Werewolf king crouching in a hunting stance just outside the battle range.
He knew these two strong warriors were trying to lure him away from the Blood Clan Spellcasters, but he was doing the sa. He was not alone; his mount was a Level 15 Werewolf king.
The Werewolf king, upon hearing Cap’s order, howled and then turned to sprint wildly towards the Blood Clan’s position.
The master’s command was everything to it.
Grot, heavily injured by Cap’s ferocious attack, had already stood up, his wounds visibly healing at an insane rate.
His aura climbed back to its peak.
The already robust and sturdy Northern warriors were further enhanced after becoming Vampires; coupled with the fact that it was now night, his fighting strength was at its absolute peak.
As long as his head was not chopped off, even his heart pierced through could still regenerate.
Such was a Northern warrior with Bloodline coursing through his veins, a Vampire with the Blood of Fearlessness!!
Grot bent his legs and then burst forth, his speed surging as he prepared to intercept the departing Werewolf king.
But just as he moved, a cold blade flashed by. Cap forcibly dodged Betty’s renewed assault and intercepted him with the most domineering stance.
This Level 18 Beastman king, his strength had reached the pinnacle of Level 18.
Grot drew his sword to parry, only able to watch helplessly as the Werewolf king left the battleground of the three combatants.
Seeing this, Cap’s lips curled into a bloodthirsty smirk, a hint of coldness in his eyes as he raised his sword to attack.
“Vampire and Northern Warrior, you are my prey today.”
As long as the Seat Wolf could disrupt the Vampire’s spellcasting, Cap believed the Beastn would once again beco lords of this land.
Even the Steel Giant and the giant beast in the sky, or the two powerful warriors before him, would all beco corpses under the blades of the Beastn.
Even with heavy casualties, the Beastn still held an absolute nurical advantage.
If only they could move past the current chaos, if soone could command them, all enemies would be hunted down by the Beastn.
And once the Seat Wolf completed its task, the final victory would still belong to him, the king of the Lion Tribe—Cap Lion.
The Level 15 Seat Wolf King—Grey Claw, sniffed the air and charged fiercely towards the Bloodline caster.
Bred by the Beastn, the Level 15 creature, the Seat Wolf King possessed intelligence not inferior to that of a human teenager’s.
It understood its master’s plan.
Hunt humans?
A hint of cruelty flashed in Grey Claw’s eyes; those humans were such a delicacy indeed, especially the spellcasters. Just thinking about the rich magic fluctuations in their bodies made him salivate uncontrollably.
The battle between the three was already a thousand blades away from the Bloodline’s position, but with the Seat Wolf’s speed, it took re seconds to reach the spot where Cap was previously intercepted.
With a leap.
Standing atop a large rock under the tree in front, it howled skyward.
A-woooo~
The mournful howl of the Sky Wolf lanting to the moon caused many Bloodline spellcasters’ hearts to tremble.
Large composite magic was always a warti spell used by armies, with long preparation tis, great difficulty in casting,
and the stipulation that it could not be interrupted during casting, as an interruption could lead to a magic rebound—with minor consequences causing severe injuries and at worst, one would be overwheld by chaotic magic, destroying their spiritual sea and reducing them to idiocy.
So, during combat, mages would often be guarded by the most elite troops.
But now, the two powerful warriors of the Bloodline Spellcasting Group had been lured away by the king of the Beast Clan.
There was no defensive force here.
A hint of savagery appeared in the eyes of the Seat Wolf King, its claws on all four legs shimred with a cold gleam, and its tusks were razor-sharp like knives; this was a pure killing machine.
The intent to kill spread.
Thump~ Bang~
After several great bounds, Grey Claw was already looming next to the still-casting Bloodline,
Standing tall at three blades, almost six blades in length, the Seat Wolf King lunged towards the seemingly unresponsive Bloodline.
A bloody massacre seed imminent.
However, when the two were less than 30 blades apart, the Seat Wolf King suddenly halted its speeding body, its grey fur instantly standing on end, and a terror that couldn’t be suppressed flashed in its eyes.
In front of it was as if an Abyss Demon had opened its gaping maw waiting for him; if he dared to move one step further, death was certain.
Subsequently, a pitch-black spatial gateway fractured in the sky.
“Roar~”
“Wa gaga gaga~ The great has co out again~” A peculiar voice erged from the darkness, piercing and bizarre.
ps: Our operations officer has launched a book fan the event in the comnts section of Qidian, everyone is welco to participate~ Heart
