It was his turn now.

Before the accursed could notice his presence, he imdiately shot up three spinning lanceheads he had prepared previously.

Dense, thin, spinning, and made up of crystals.

Strong, fast, and accurate.

All of them hit exactly where he wanted, but the damage wasn’t enough.

It did chip away its armor at points, but it didn’t pierce its skin.

His location was no longer a secret.

Gruhghgh!

It shot back imdiately, but,

Bang!

It was t with a crystal wall to its head.

Slice!

Taking advantage of this mont, Pevon sliced off a chunk of its shoulder.

Screech!

It scread in agony and moved away.

He was aiming for the neck, but the accursed wasn’t that slow.

After that, Carroll attacked instantly, giving it virtually no ti to recover.

And as it turned around to ward off the insects attacking it,

Boom!

One more lancehead hit its hips.

It was getting agitated, as if it was in a loop of no escape, so it didn’t turn around this ti.

It continued to charge at Pevon and Carroll.

It moved the hand forward, wanting to snap their necks, but,

Crack!

A crystal wall suddenly appeared in front of it, and its own speed proved to be its downfall.

The hand was dislocated or even broken.

Fragnts of the chitin armor exploded in every direction, which wasn’t too hard to dodge.

Kshawww!

It howled at them.

Raven wasn’t the most powerful here, but he was currently proving to be the most annoying one of them all.

It had to do sothing.

But with its limited intelligence, it could do nothing but charge at him mindlessly.

’I have run out of my walls.’ He thought nervously, looking at the impending doom with his helpless eyes.

Carroll could barely dodge this thing’s attack, so Raven, who was physically weaker and slower than a good warrior like her, could not dodge it in ti.

He ran towards the other side and threw one of his final lances at it to buy so ti.

But unfortunately for him, the punch connected regardless.

Kugh!

All the air was knocked out of his lungs imdiately, as he felt breathless.

His head spun, and he was thrown a few ters behind.

Crash!

He fell on the ground hard, rolling for a while before he ca to a complete halt.

Aargh!

He scread in pain, trying to catch his breath.

He felt a tallic taste in his mouth.

It was blood that was leaking from his mouth due to his inability to completely control his muscles currently.

He tried opening his eyes, clenching his gums hard to fool his brain.

But the second he had any sort of visual feedback, his breath stopped again.

Zoom!

The accursed caught up to him instantly, its punch loaded like a spring.

He was about to get hit once again.

And this ti might be fatal.

Slice!

Screech!

But thankfully, Pevon ca to his rescue.

He swung hard at the distracted accursed, whose battle IQ was going down as it was getting pushed back.

Screeeech!

The left palm was sliced clean off.

It made a strategic retreat, screeching its lungs out.

’I guess these things feel pain as well.’

"Are you alright?" Pevon extended his hand to pull him back up on his feet.

Carroll watched his back and kept an eye on the accursed.

Huff!

He took a deep breath in, wiping off the blood from his mouth, "Barely."

He said as he got up with the help of Pevon.

Boom!

Suddenly, they heard a loud boom coming from the monastery roof, to where the accursed had retreated.

It was a fireball that had arrived from inside.

And since the monastery was made up of rotting dry wood, it caught on fire.

"I don’t think giving these things ti to recover is a good thing, is it?" They looked at the entrance and noticed Janet supporting Zuri outside.

The attack had definitely connected to the accursed.

"You should rest, Zuri," Carroll shouted, noticing the accursed going back for payback.

Zoop!

Janet hit it with a stun and a barrage of debuffs.

"It’s not the ti for such suggestions."

They joined the group, standing in the middle, covered by the rest.

"Attack it," Raven suggested, wincing in agony, "We mages would support from behind."

The stun duration had ended, but so was their recuperation.

Carroll and Pevon charged at it, with the latter being considerably faster than the forr.

Ugh!

Raven groaned, stretching his muscles, "I should contribute sothing in here as well."

Zuri scoffed while forming an arrow made up of fire, "You have carried this entire mission, Dante."

"Yeah," Janet said, also focusing on forming more debuffs, "You can rest now."

Heh!

’How could I?’

He said, as he got ready to use his newfound skill, he had inherited from that silver woman.

According to the note, he just had to imagine it to conjure it into reality instantly, and aim it with his index finger.

He complied.

’It feels like I am playing Nerf battle with fingers like little children.’

Zuri launched her fire arrow at the accursed, which instinctively dodged it.

But Raven had assud that for his plan.

Slice, was it?

He aid his index finger at the accursed’s next possible position, and,

Swish!

A light blue crescent-shaped blade made out of purely his mana was launched at an insane speed.

Slice!

A deep cut was ford over its back, nearly coming outside of the other side.

It threw the accursed off its balance.

And as crazy as the speed of this spell was, the mana it drained was equally as crazy.

But it was worth it.

Carroll, who happened to be nearest to the creature, aid straight at the light cut Pevon had previously made at its thighs, and swung her sword.

Gush!

Dark blood ca gushing out, and the accursed’s leg was half detached.

It was rendered useless.

ARRRGGHH!

It scread, deep in anguish.

Two attacks had penetrated its defense, one after another, and even took out one of its legs.

Pevon charged at it and swung his sword at its neck.

Everybody was hopeful, praying that this swing actually connects.

But the accursed was tenacious.

It leaped in front like a frog, with a single leg.

Slice!

Pevon’s attack missed the neck, but got sothing else entirely.

Its other leg was now also mostly separated from the main body.

It was essentially limbless now.

Huff!

Raven sighed in relief.

With both of its legs gone, this was finally ga over.

Or so thought.

"What is that?"
