Chapter 630: Chapter 639: You Don’t Have to Be So Compromising

Wu Wa, who never shied away from stirring up trouble, ran over with BBQ skewers in hand, munching as she spoke.

“These are skewers Moh Li brought over, said he brought them specially for us, but you weren’t here. He went out to look for you, and by the ti he ca back, he was like this; these lamb skewers are really tasty, Ah Zhi, co and eat.”

Bai Zhi’s eyes cooled, and it’d be a cri against her stomach not to eat skewers, so she hurried over to start eating.

There was quite a lot, a whole box that probably contained over a hundred skewers.

How many did she roast? Plus other veggie and at skewers, there were like two to three hundred in total.

And they weren’t those tiny skewers either; by Bai Zhi’s terms, these weren’t skewers but chunks of at the size of mahjong tiles.

They didn’t skimp on quality, and the taste was incredible.

A single bite, oily and especially tender, was incredibly fragrant; the flavor was truly to die for.

The lamb skewers didn’t have any gaminess, making them particularly delicious.

Bai Zhi couldn’t stop eating, the enoki mushrooms were tasty too, as were the lotus roots and konjac.

Bai Zhi ate until her mouth was tinged with red, then took a sip of cold water to enhance the deliciousness.

Moh Li, who had been waiting for Bai Zhi to ask about his situation, ca over to see, only to find her indulging in skewers.

Although he brought them for them to eat, it felt excessive not to call him over; it was as if he didn’t matter to them at all.

Moh Li walked over, deliberately parading back and forth in front of them several tis.

Yet, their eyes saw only the skewers; nothing else existed.

They kept eating, eating, eating, blind to Moh Li’s presence.

Moh Li: “…” He felt that Bai Zhi did it on purpose, though he had no evidence; she really went too far.

Of course, Bai Zhi had noticed him; today’s Moh Li was really odd, but food first, everything else later.

After Bai Zhi had her fill, with many bamboo sticks piled around, feeling a bit stuffed,

she finally turned to Moh Li and handed him a skewer.

“Do you want so?”

Moh Li: “…” You’re full and still asking if I want so.

But his hand couldn’t help but take it, gritting his teeth,

“Eat.” Why not? Even if I’m angry, the happy one might still be Bai Zhi, hmph.

Moh Li ate bite by bite, visibly upset, and Bai Zhi watched without a smile.

Once Moh Li had eaten almost enough, Bai Zhi looked at the box; half of it was supposed to be for Bai Xiang and the others, and they hadn’t touched it.

“Moh Li, should we take these over to Bai Xiang and the others?”

Bai Xiang and Bai Fei were undergoing training, punished for failing to morize their textbooks, now stationed up in the mountains.

“Alright.”

Moh Li nodded, picked up the box, and followed Bai Zhi.

“Moh Li, are you unhappy today?”

Bai Zhi asked out of feigned curiosity.

“No.” Moh Li’s voice was faint; he really didn’t understand what he was so upset about.

It was just that when he saw Bai Zhi giving candy to that soone, he felt particularly stifled, as if there was a fire inside him wanting to burst out but not knowing where to direct it, a truly unbearable feeling.

“No?” Bai Zhi retorted, “You’re frowning, did you argue with Ouyang, or is he the one acting crazy? Actually, I think you don’t have to compromise so much. Can’t we find another way?”

Bai Zhi and Moh Li were certain there was sothing wrong with the Ou Family. The dicinal materials alone were telling, and with the elder they pushed forward, it seed too optimistic to expect to smooth things over so easily.

The two suspected there were even more secrets unknown to the public, and Moh Li felt that perhaps they hid the truth of past events.

Back then, the Moh Family original pharmacy was everyone’s thorn in the side. The current First Pharmacy belonged to another family, the very sa one Moh Li had seen targeting their own.

“Moh Li, there’s no need for that, you have other options, why choose the path that makes you the saddest.”
