With the support of the orb of wind, the flas burned strong around the mummy leader.
With how strong it burnt, it didn't seem likely that there would be anything that could survive this.

The mummy leader didn't attack right away and instead looked right at to ask, "Why did you do all of this? Even if you were a human, I would have worked with you because you too have the lord's blessing."
The way that the mummy leader said this, it was almost as if it was a lover that had been abandoned which made reveal a strange look.
But in the end, I said, "You are a monster and I am a human, this is just how it is."
"I am a monster?" The mummy leader gave a bitter laugh after saying this before looking at with a sharp gaze, "From how I see it, you are the monster for all you've done."
I didn't say anything in response to this.
From a certain point of view, everything that the mummy leader said was considered valid.
After all, I had befriended the mummies and gained their trust, only to use it to betray them in the end.
That was sothing that a monster would do.
But this was what humans were like with those that they considered monsters, so I had already accepted that this was how it was.
Even if the mummy leader said this now, I would still act with the sa commitnt as before.

I gave a simple nod in response before raising my sword, as if I was waiting for the mummy leader.

When it reappeared, it was already above with its hands coming down at , as if it was going to throw the balls of dark energy at .
But before it could make contact, I suddenly said, "Dizzy."
The mummy leader trembled a bit before its head suddenly fell forward.
I took advantage of this to move slightly so that it would move right past and then I slashed at the mummy leader.
The mummy leader's eyes were narrowed and it looked like it was having trouble focusing, but it still used the layer of dark energy around it to block this.
However, the mont that my sword made contact with that layer of dark energy, there was a bit of it that had been shaved off. That bit of the dark energy that was shaved off went into my sword before disappearing without a trace.
When I saw this, I revealed a look as if I had expected this.
The mummy leader also recovered from the dizziness that it felt and jumped back away from .
It went several ters away before stabilizing itself.
Once it stabilized itself, it looked at with a cautious look as if it was worried about sothing. It just stood there without moving, as if it was trying to figure sothing out.
I also didn't do anything as I waited for the mummy leader to act.
After a mont of silence, the mummy leader looked at with a strange look and asked, "What did you do?"
I didn't say anything in response as I just waited for its next move.
But even then, the mummy leader didn't do a thing.
It was almost as if it was hesitating to act.
