91 He Arrives
Shen Yin’s eyes dimd, and she could no longer put on a fake smile. Even her voice grew weak and trembled. “You accidentally killed Lu Feng while trying to save her, right?”
Lu Kai spat on the ground in disgust. “That little bastard deserved it. He’s as evil as his mother. To think that I used to think the child had a gentle personality. I didn’t expect him to do such a beastly thing.”
“You’re wrong.” Shen Yin looked at the man in front of her who was still in the dark. “We’ve investigated Lu Feng. He had a girlfriend from school that he liked very much. He was very willing to spend money on his girlfriend. He seed like a gentle and generous boy.”
“What are you trying to say?” Lu Kai stared at her and subconsciously held his breath. His Adam’s apple bobbed as he nervously waited for her to continue.

“What are you talking about? Do you know what you’re talking about?!” Lu Kai suddenly grabbed Shen Yin’s collar like a madman, his eyes filled with shock.
Shen Yin looked him straight in the eye. “I’m afraid what you saw was Lin Hui’s usual thod. She did it because so that she could just bla Lu Feng if the truth ever ca to light, and let others think that she was the victim.”
She looked coldly at Lu Kai, who was on the verge of breaking down, and announced rcilessly, “You’ve killed the wrong person.”
“Impossible! I-I clearly saw it with my own eyes!” Lu Kai grabbed the fruit knife and placed it on Shen Yin’s neck again. The sharp blade cut into her flesh, and blood flowed down her neck and into her collar.
Enduring the burning pain on her neck, Shen Yin frowned and glared back fearlessly. “You once thought that Lu Feng was your biological son. You doted on him and treated him very well. You really liked him, didn’t you? Think about it carefully. Is Lu Feng really the kind of child who would do such a thing?”
Seeing the shock in Lu Kai’s eyes, Shen Yin continued, “According to our investigation, Lu Feng and Chen Ke didn’t have a good relationship. He almost never tells Chen Ke anything, but he must talked to you often, right? That’s because he treated you as the father he was closest to.”
“Stop talking.” Lu Kai pushed the knife against Shen Yin’s neck again, and blood flowed out of the deepening wound.
Shen Yin’s eyes filled with tears from the pain, but she still forced herself to speak in a hoarse voice. “Even if I don’t say it, it’s a fact that you killed a boy who treated you as his biological father. Lu Kai, put down the knife and co back to the police station with . Don’t continue with your mistake. Even if you’re lucky enough to escape today, you already know the truth. Can you really live with your conscience?”
“The fact that you still haven’t killed ans you’re a man with a conscience. You just want to survive. I can help you. As long as you put the knife down and co back with to turn yourself in, I’ll tell my superiors that you had good reasons. I’ll help you.”
“You’ll help ?” Lu Kai sneered and suddenly pinned Shen Yin down ruthlessly. “You won are all liars! You just want to live, right? Dr. Shen, after telling so much rubbish, why don’t you let have fun with you once? I’ll let you go when I feel like it. How about that?”
“Lu Kai,” Shen Yin’s stern tone stopped him. Her eyes were cold and piercing. “Are you sure you want to do such a thing in front of the corpse of the woman you loved?”
Lu Kai paused and loosened his grip. He subconsciously looked at the corpse that he had flung in the corner. Agony filled his heart.
He loved Lin Hui. Even after their divorce, he still loved her.

Lu Kai walked to the door warily, holding the dagger tightly in his hand. A deathly silence fell over the room. He waited a long ti, but there was no more movent outside the door.
