307 Wronged

“I’ll go with you.” Shen Nian looked at the teacher firmly.

He did not care about the looks his classmates were giving him, but he could not let Cheng Mu die because of him. If that happened, he would never be able to forgive himself.

The ambulance arrived very quickly. Shen Nian helped the dical staff to get Cheng Mu into the ambulance. The little boy tried to climb into the ambulance, but he was scarcely taller than the edge of the vehicle.

The dical staff was confused and hurriedly stopped him. She looked at the teachers around him and said, “This is a primary school student from your school, right? Hurry up and tell him to return to class and not run around. We’re going to the hospital now.”

“Nurse, I’m going to the hospital too.” Shen Nian frowned and waved aside her hand, which was on his shoulder. Even at such a critical mont, he could not change his habit of disliking others touching him.

The nurse obviously did not agree. What could such a young child do even if he ca with them?

However, the teacher knew Shen Nian and Cheng Mu. She nodded at the nurse and said, “Let him tag along. I’ll be responsible for keeping an eye on him.”

“Alright then.” This was an urgent matter, so the dical staff did not continue to argue with them. After getting into the vehicle, they perford simple first aid to stop the bleeding.

The teacher carried the compliant Shen Nian into the vehicle and he sat on the seat beside the stretcher. He did not dare to move. His black eyes were fixed on Cheng Mu’s chest, as if he was afraid that she would die at any mont.

After the doctor finished the preliminary treatnt of the wound, he took off his gloves and looked at Shen Nian, who was staring at him intently. He could not help but tease, “Little boy, aren’t you afraid?”

“No.” Shen Nian looked up at him in surprise. Seeing his relaxed expression, he heaved a sigh of relief.

Seeing how cute he was, the doctor deliberately teased him. “Then you have to watch over Sister along the way. The ambulance is too shaky. Don’t let her stretcher bump around, okay?”

Shen Nian wanted to say that she was not his sister, but he swallowed the words. He pursed his lips and nodded. “Okay, I will keep an eye on her.”

“Good boy.” The doctor liked this little boy, who looked so smart. He wanted to reach out and touch his hair, but the boy tilted his head away. He could only put down his hand awkwardly and turn around to record the patient’s identity.

The teacher had been watching Shen Nian quietly.

When she saw Cheng Mu lying in a pool of blood, she had subconsciously believed the other students when they said that Shen Nian had pushed Cheng Mu down the stairs.

However, looking at the little boy’s serious expression now, she recalled that although he was usually cold, he was a gentle and polite child. Suddenly, she felt uncertain. Would such an obedient, sensible and mature little boy really do such a vicious thing?

Perhaps she would have to wait for Cheng Mu to wake up to find out the truth.

When they arrived at the hospital, Shen Nian sat outside. He climbed out of the ambulance and stood obediently in the distance, not obstructing the doctor from carrying the stretcher down. He stayed by the teacher’s side the entire ti. He was so quiet that the others almost forgot that he existed. However, every ti the teacher lowered her head to take a look, she would see him next to her. He was so sensible that she liked him even more.

For safety reasons, the teacher who stayed behind in the school had called Cheng Mu’s ho number and inford her parents to co to the hospital to take care of Cheng Mu. At the sa ti, because of the testimony of his classmates, the teacher also called Shen Nian’s ho number and asked them to go to the hospital.

Cheng Mu’s head was bleeding because she had fallen down the stairs, so the doctor gave her priority over the other patients and sent her for an X-ray to check the inside her skull. Besides Cheng Mu, the other people were asked to wait outside the radiology departnt for the results.

Cheng Huo happened to be busy, so only Cheng Luo rushed to the hospital.

At that ti, Shen Yin was writing a report in the office. When she received a call from the school, she applied for leave from her superior and rushed to the hospital to look for Shen Nian.

Over the phone, the school teacher said that it was very likely that Shen Nian had pushed her down the stairs. However, Shen Yin knew her son’s character. Although he did not like to make friends or interact with strangers, he definitely would not try to harm anyone. She went to the hospital to clarify matters with the other party’s parents and find out the truth.

When she arrived at the hospital, she was surprised to discover that the other child was Cheng Mu.

“Nian Nian.” Shen Yin squatted down and hugged her son’s shoulders. “Nian Nian, don’t be afraid. Tell Mom what happened, okay?”

Shen Nian suddenly felt wronged. But a boy must not cry so easily in front of so many people. Shen Nian felt embarrassed just thinking about it.

He held back his tears and said with reddened eyes, “Mom, I didn’t push Cheng Mu. She fell down the stairs to save .”

The teacher walked to the two of them with a frown and said softly, “Nian Nian, tell exactly what happened.”

Shen Nian swallowed the lump in his throat and nodded. He explained slowly how Cui Hao had made things difficult for him and Cheng Mu had saved him.
