289 Conflict Intensifies
Lian Jing was filled with regret after he walked away from Shen Yin. However, he could not bring himself to turn around and look for her. He suppressed his emotions and his expression beca increasingly ugly.
Of course Mo Ru knew what he was thinking. She looked at him standing silently in front of the car and smiled gently, like a caring big sister. Suddenly, she reached out and handed him his coat. “Put this on first. Don’t catch a cold over this, it won’t be worth it.”
Lian Jing did not move. He looked down at her feet, his eyes cold and indifferent.
Mo Ru knew what he ant. She smiled and said, “I’m fine now. If not for your help, I’m afraid I wouldn’t be here to help you now.”

“Help ?” Lian Jing frowned and looked at her in confusion.
Mo Ru smiled and stretched out her hand. She raised her eyebrows and hinted at what he should do.
This ti, Lian Jing did not reject her. He took the coat that she had just dried and put it on. He felt his body grow warr, leaving only the frustration in his heart.
Mo Ru waited for him to put on his coat before saying slowly, “Actually, what you see might not be true. If you want to know if Shen Yin really loves you, I can help you test her.”
Lian Jing lowered his eyes and his gaze landed on this incredibly seductive woman.
She clearly had the sa air as Shen Yin, and she was equally gorgeous. However, in Lian Jing’s eyes, Shen Yin was more like a translucent lychee. She looked fair and alluring, but in reality, she had a hard core that could not be shaken.
Mo Ru exuded the charm of a mature woman. You could not see her hard and domineering side, but she would not be easily deceived.
Mo Ru stood there and allowed him to sized up her. After a while, she teased, “Well? President Lian, do you trust ?”
Lian Jing’s intuition told him that what had happened today was not so simple. He felt as though he was being lured into a trap. He curled his lips into a devilish smile and said, “Alright, tell first. How are you going to test her?”
“Lian Jing!”
He had just finished speaking when he saw Shen Yin run out of the club. When she saw Lian Jing still standing in front of the car, she imdiately heaved a sigh of relief. However, when she saw the woman standing beside him, she imdiately grew tense again.
“Oh no, my foot suddenly hurts again.” Mo Ru frowned and leaned pitifully into Lian Jing’s arms. Her hand was still on his shoulder, as she rested against him limply.
Lian Jing frowned and was about to push her away when he saw the woman staring at him seductively. She whispered into his chest, “President Lian, don’t push away. I’m helping you test her.”
Shen Yin thought that Lian Jing would push the woman away decisively, but to her surprise, he allowed her lean on him. Her eyes instantly turned red with anger. “Lian Jing, you said that you knew her in the past. Is she your ex-lover?”
Lian Jing frowned slightly and wanted to correct her, but the woman suddenly reached out and pinched his arm.
Mo Ru smiled apologetically at Shen Yin. “I’m sorry. I leaned against him because my leg suddenly hurt. He’s your boyfriend now, so I should keep my distance. However, I probably won’t be able to leave on my own today. Can I trouble you to let Lian Jing drive back first?”
Shen Yin looked up at Lian Jing in disbelief. She blinked back her tears. When Lian Jing did not say a word, she suddenly sneered and nodded. “Alright, then you can leave first. I can go back myself later.”
“That’s great. Lian Jing, let’s go.” Mo Ru tugged at Lian Jing’s sleeve and placed his hand on her waist, as if he was going to bend down and pick her up.
Shen Yin turned her head away sharply and kept telling herself not to be sad. If a man was no good, she could just get another one. However, she still felt as though her heart had been hit by a heavy hamr. Once she got over the shock, she only felt a bone-deep chill.
Lian Jing felt that sothing was amiss with Shen Yin. He was about to push Mo Ru away and end this farce, but when he looked up, he saw soone push open the door of the club.
Cheng Huo chased after them anxiously. When he saw Lian Jing and Mo Ru hugging each other, he was stunned at first, but soon, his eyes filled with disdain.
He took off his jacket and draped it over Shen Yin’s body. He hugged her shoulders and advised softly, “I’ll send you back first. It’s cold out here. Don’t catch a cold.”
Shen Yin’s entire body had already turned to ice. What did she care about the slight chill? She could barely hold back her tears. She stubbornly raised her head and looked at the man who had been so loving towards her just a mont ago, but who now had another woman in his arms. Her tone was unusually calm. “Lian Jing, I think I should leave.”
“Are you leaving with him?” Lian Jing’s expression was frighteningly dark.
However, Shen Yin did not care about his feelings anymore. She sneered and said, “Why not? Cheng Huo specially ca to pick up. I can’t let him make this trip in vain.”
