255 Case Closed
Wu Zheng let out a long breath and cald himself. He said sternly, “Then why did you say that Shen Luo was the last?”
Dong Chang spread his hands and said matter-of-factly, “I’ve already found the real Wan Wan. She’s no longer useful. Why should I keep her?”
“Crazy.” Wu Zheng cursed and continued to ask, “Why did you choose to strangle the victim with stockings?”

They still rembered how they almost convinced their daughter to go to the police station with them. It was because of Dong Chang’s words that she suddenly changed her mind and scread herself hoarse.
However, their daughter had personally destroyed the evidence. They could not find any other clues that could prove that Dong Chang was involved in this matter. They could only acede to their daughter’s wishes and move out of the village to work in the city. They treated this matter as an closely-guarded secret.
It was only today that they realized that they were not the only ones who could not let go of the past.
Dong Chang was a good boy. Wan Wan had not misjudged him, but he had done the wrong thing, used the wrong thod, and hurt too many innocent people. The two of them could only try to visit him as often as possible until the last mont and accompany him through the last stage of his life journey.
Not long after the interrogation ended, the police officers who had gone to the bungalow to collect evidence brought back more than ten pairs of stockings that they had found in the corner of the room. So had been worn, and so were brand new.
All that was left was to check Shen Luo’s testimony. At that ti, she had told the police that the murderer was wearing a blue shirt, but the investigation showed that Dong Chang did not have a blue shirt at all.
The wound on Dong Heng’s hand matched Shen Yin’s deduction in Li Xi’s case. The evidence was complete, and this serial murder case that had rocked Chengxi could finally be closed.
Wu Zheng brought Zou Sheng and ng Heng to the lounge. When he saw Shen Luo sitting there silently, he got soone to pour her a glass of hot water to calm her down. “Miss Shen, I want you to think carefully. Was the man you saw near the cri scene that day really wearing a blue shirt?”
Shen Luo raised her head in a daze and looked at him steadily. “Was he captured? Did he send soone to kill ?”
Wu Zheng sighed and said seriously, “Don’t ask the police questions. Just answer my questions honestly.”
Shen Luo blinked a few tis. There was sothing amiss with her expression. She quickly lowered her head and said in a low voice, “I couldn’t see clearly. I might have made a mistake. I was too frightened at that ti and I was far away. I couldn’t see clearly, and my mories are jumbled.”
Wu Zheng and ng Heng looked at each other and saw the helplessness in each other’s eyes.
No matter what Shen Luo’s motive was, they could not prove it. Only she knew the truth.
Wu Zheng stood up and silently walked out of the lounge. He was not prepared to argue with her anymore. They had more important things to deal with.
Dong Heng had to pay for the sins he had committed more than ten years ago!
They left, one after another. Only then did Shen Luo slowly raise her head and stop Zou Sheng, who was the last. She looked at him expectantly and asked, “Why was Lian Jing among the people who ca to save ?”
Zou Sheng turned around and looked at her expressionlessly. “You have to thank your brother-in-law. If he hadn’t sent soone to follow you and protect you for the entire day, we would not have been able to rescue you so quickly.”
