“You!” Shen Luo was shocked, and her eyes filled with disdain. “What are you doing here?”
“Of course I’m here to eat, little girl.” Cheng Huo playfully looked at Shen Yin’s helpless smile and batted his eyes at the unfriendly girl. He said in amusent, “You two know each other? What a coincidence.”
Only then did Shen Luo notice that the man who had entered in with Shen Yin was so handso.
His beautiful eyes glanced over lazily, making her heart beat faster and her face turn red.
She stared at Cheng Huo’s handso face until he looked over with a frown. Only then did she look away shyly, and her hatred for Shen Yin increased.
This shaless woman had actually seduced such an outstanding man!
Shen Yin raised her eyebrows slightly. “I do know her, but we’re not close.”
Shen Luo suddenly looked up. “Not close? Shen Yin, how dare you say that!”
She glanced at the curious Cheng Huo and suddenly curled her lips into a mocking smile. “You’re in such a hurry to cut ties with because you’re afraid that I’ll reveal all your dark secrets!”
The other employees behind Shen Luo saw that sothing was wrong and quietly went to get the Manager.
“Shen Luo, what are you doing?” The Manager looked unhappily at Shen Luo, who was preventing the custors from entering. “How many tis have I told you that custors are the most important? Do you want to lose your job?”
Shen Luo lowered her head in defeat and retreated, but her eyes were still fixed on Shen Yin.
Cheng Huo pretended to be angry and looked at the Manager. “I’ve seen how your restaurant treats its custors. Since you don’t welco us, we’ll leave. Goodbye.”
The Manager hurriedly stopped him when he heard that.
The Manager had been in the food and beverage industry for so many years. Of course he could tell that Cheng Huo was a very important person. If they offended a distinguished guest because of a waiteress, they might lose a lot of business.
The Manager apologized to Cheng Huo and Shen Yin. “It’s our employees’ fault. Don’t be angry. How about this? I’ll give you a 20% discount on your bill this ti and the drinks will be free. What do you think?”
Cheng Huo did not say anything, so the Manager smiled apologetically at Shen Yin. “Miss, it was our fault. I was negligent and offended an esteed guest. Why don’t I give you a 30% discount? What do you think?”
Shen Yin did not want to make things difficult for the Manager. Besides, she did not have any feud with Shen Luo, so she nodded.
Seeing that she had relented, the Manager imdiately cheered up and led them to the private room upstairs. He got soone to open a bottle of red wine and personally poured it for the two of them. After apologizing repeatedly, he tactfully left the private room.
Cheng Huo took a sip of red wine and looked at Shen Yin curiously. “What kind of grudge do you have against that little girl?”
Shen Yin swirled the wine glass in her hand and imitated his usual calm and unruffled manner. She smiled and said, “Didn’t you say that you wanted to understand bit by bit? What’s the point of telling you directly?”
Cheng Huo could not help but laugh. Looking at her cute appearance, his mood improved and he teased her. “Perhaps you’re willing to stay for a al because the Manager gave you such a good discount?”
“You’ve seen right through !” Shen Yin took a sip of wine and said with a smile, “I didn’t want to eat here either, but he really gave such a good discount.”
Cheng Huo was extrely amused. The atmosphere in the private room beca warm. The two of them got along well, so they chatted until the food were ready.
Shen Luo glared at Shen Yin hatefully, as if she had been humiliated. She gritted his teeth as she served Shen Yin the food while saying, “I’m sorry. Cousin, please forgive my rudeness just now.”
Shen Yin waved her hand nonchalantly, treating her as a nobody and completely ignoring her.
Shen Luo saw that it was inconvenient to talk with the waiters coming and going, so she shut her mouth. She would teach Shen Yin a lesson later, when there was no one around.
She looked at Cheng Huo’s handso face with envy. Such a man should belong to her, Shen Luo. She would not let that fickle Shen Yin get him!
Cheng Huo saw the hatred in her eyes. After everyone left, he slowly asked, “What’s going on with the two of you?”
Shen Yin raised an eyebrow. “You want to know?”
Cheng Huo imdiately sat up straight and pretended to be all ears. “I really want to know. I’m so curious. Tell quickly.”
Shen Yin looked at his impatient expression and could not help but laugh. She shook her head and said slowly, “You might be disappointed if I tell you. There’s no great hatred between us. It’s just childish jealousy.”
Cheng Huo rubbed his chin. “Is she jealous that you’re a hundred tis prettier than her? That’s quite normal.”
Shen Yin rolled her eyes at him and said seriously, “No, it’s just that when I was young, Grandpa doted on more than her.”
Cheng Huo looked incredulous. “That’s it?”
Shen Yin picked up her chopsticks, lowered her eyes, and said indifferently, “Yes, that’s it.”
