Ravenna answered. She drew a complex pattern with void energy. "Void Sphere—Compression!"
A ball of absolute nothingness ford. She hurled it at the dissipating spout. It ate through water and wind like they didn’t exist and continued toward Gale and Marina.
Luckily for them they scattered and the sphere missed, crashed into arena wall and left a perfect hemispherica gapping hole five ters deep.
The crowd went wild.
"DEVASTATING POWER FROM THE VOID SORCERESS!"
Boulder charged. Despite his size, he moved like an avalanche, slow start, unstoppable montum. His target was apparently as he head toward Ravenna in a an to eliminate the artillery.
But Seraphina intercepted smoothly. She raised her hand. "Holy Bastion!"
She planted her sword in the ground and golden light erupted around her, forming a wall of solid divine energy that humd and made the air around her vibrate.
Boulder hit it at full speed and the arena shook from the clash.
Seraphina’s boots carved trenches in the earth as she was pushed back, gritting her teeth.
Five ters. Ten ters.
But she held.
"Not... through... !" she roared, her eyes flashing.
The Holy light around her intensified and pale wings of power showed around her. She pushed back with everything she had And actually stopped Boulder’s charge.
The crowd’s roar doubled as the watched, throwing their hands up in excitent.
"THE HOLY BLADE HOLDS THE LINE!"
While everyone watched that clash....
Lucille had found her opening.
Zephyr was positioned on a high platform, providing covering fire and was focused on Ravenna and Marcus.
Lucille appeared at platform’s base. Climbed silently. Appeared behind him like a shadow, her eyes focused darkly. But he was sohow ready for her and he spun, his bow beca quarterstaff in his hands as he whirled it.
They fought in close quarters. Dagger versus staff. Speed versus precision.
Fifteen seconds of intense quick lee, they used no magic. Then Lucille suddenly feinted left, an after images appearing while her real body struck right, quick as quicksilver her dagger poml, suddenly shrouded in dark energy clank on his temple sharply.
Zephyr collapsed imdiately and fell nconscious.
"FIRST ELIMINATION! STORMWATCH DOWN TO FOUR!"
Lyra’s expression from her position hardened and dhe raised both hands overhead, instantly lightning gathered above head.
Storm clouds ford above the arena and unnatural, magical and forced. They darkened instantly.
"Oh, that’s not good," Marcus muttered.
"STORM DOMAIN!" Lyra shouted.
Rain began falling. No, not rain, rain do not shimr and sparked like that! Electrified water! Every drop carried current that humd in the air around them.
The entire battlefield beca electrified.
```
[WARNING: ENVIRONNTAL HAZARD]
[RECOMND: INSULATION OR AVOID CONTACT]
```
"Marcus!" I called. "Do so Insulation enchantnts! Now!"
"Working!" He traced glowing symbols on the ground, using the formation he used earlier as the imprint.
But even then, the attack had slowed us down. And Lyra knew it.
She attacked while we were adjusting. "Lightning Barrage—Multiple Targets!"
Bolts rained from the storm clouds, they gathered in shimring branches and rained down.
Marcus’s barriers did their work for a while but it couldn’t cover all.
We scattered imdiately as the formation broke.
Gale and Marina pressed the advantage quick.
Wind and electrified water combined again. This ti as a spreading mist and it was gradually filling the arena.
Out visibility dropped to ten ters.
"Regroup!" I shouted. "Center position!"
My team converged into a back-to-back formation.
Boulder erged from the mist. Then Lyra and Gale with Marina.
Four on five. But they held terrain advantage now.
This was their elent.....literally.
"They’re controlling the battlefield," Seraphina said, eyes scanning the electric mist. "We need to disrupt their environnt too."
"Agreed," I said. "Ravenna can you consu the storm?"
"The electrical field? Maybe but the actual storm cloud....?" She frowned. "That’s a lot of energy and I’d need thirty seconds uninterrupted."
"You’ll have it. Seraphina, Marcus, buy her ti. Lucille, with ."
"What’s the plan?" Lucille asked.
"We take out their mages and kill their environntal control."
She smiled coldly. "Finally."
Seraphina stepped forward, sword raised. "Co on then! If you want her, go through !"
Boulder obliged. He charged again, earth magic making each step thunder as his flesh changed to dull brown.
Seraphina t him head-on in her Divine Clash power. Sword t stone-covered fist. The shockwave cleared mist in at least twenty-ter radius.
They grappled, strength versus strength. Holy versus earth.
Marcus supported her, enchantnts boosting Seraphina’s power. She actually pushed Boulder back.
Ravenna began her spell. Void energy spiraling upward toward the storm clouds.
Gale noticed and tried to stop her. "Stop her!" Wind blades ford, launching at Ravenna.
But Marcus intercepted. "Barrier Lattice—Reflective!"
The formation on the ground lit up imdiately.
The wind blades hit, bounced back at Gale and he had to dodge his own attack.
anwhile.....
Lucille and I flanked left. Shadow magic concealing our movent through the mist.
Marina was maintaining the electrified fog, her eyes narrowed as sweat dripped down her face was she concentrated with intensity.
We erged from concealnt simultaneously and go for a pincer strike.
She noticed too late, but she still managed to put up a fight as water shield ford around her but it was already too late!
I hit from the right. "Shadow Blade—Pierce!"
Lucille hit from the left. "Poison Strike!"
Marina’s shield shattered like cheap glasses and blade scored her shoulder while Lucille’s dagger grazed her neck. It wasn’t deep strikes and not lethal but the poison acted instantly.
Marina collapsed, her muscles seizing.
"SECOND ELIMINATION! STORMWATCH DOWN TO THREE!"
The electrified mist began dissipating as Marina’s concentration broke..
Lyra roared in fury and Lightning exploded from her in all directions. "Storm Fury—Rage Mode!"
Raw power exploded from her, lightning clung to her like wind and curled around her body.
I shadow-stepped away and Lucille rolled behind cover. Luckily too because the next mont lightning exploded in a shockwave of silver and heat. The lightning scarred the arena floor. lted sand to glass in an instant around her.
"YOU TOOK OUT MY TEAM!" Lyra scread.
"THAT’S THE POINT OF THE MATCH!" I shouted back.
She gathered more power. This was going to be her ultimate attack.... I can feel the air around trembled.
