An astral body was fundantally composed of mana.

Then, one question arose.

Could sothing be placed in the “empty spaces” within the human body where the composition occurred?

A certain woman conducted an experint on that idea.

“Professor Do~! I’ve co up with another hypothesis!”

The blue-haired woman, “Docheol,” was a highly inquisitive individual.

“What if we structure the astral body around an object, allowing us to move with the object embedded inside?”

The hypothesis was that during the astral body’s formation, embedding an object within could result in the body being created with the object already inside.

“I tried it myself!”

Docheol boldly experinted on her own body and ultimately succeeded.

“Look! I succeeded! I figured out how to embed objects within the body from the start, rather than inserting them into openings afterward, like with a goblin’s bat!”

“Setting aside the goblin’s bat nonsense for now, what exactly did you do to get so excited?”

“Watch this.”

With one sentence, she demonstrated her new hypothesis.

“Cry, Infernal Devil Blade.”

“!!”

Even I felt a chill down my spine.

She claid to have drawn inspiration from circus or magic shows where magicians pull long swords from their mouths.

“Once it’s out, you can’t put it back. Retrieving what’s inside is fine, but reinserting it would seem too much like stabbing yourself.”

“I see….”

“But maybe if you pushed it in from below, you could manage to reinsert it!”

“Shut up.”

“So an. You entertain others when they make jokes like this!”

“Because others don’t make such crude jokes.”

The unique property of astralization that Docheol discovered was soon shared with other executives, which was why Chaos now stored the Phoenix Feather inside her body.

Even so, why did this feel so similar to how smugglers snuck contraband inside their bodies?

“Wherever you’re keeping it, make sure you guard it well, noona. We might need to hand over the genuine article later.”

“Are you seriously planning to sell the real one, not the fake?”

“Yes. It depends on who the buyer is.”

Not all auction participants were bad people.

There might be good people who buy the Phoenix Feather to prevent soone’s death, fearing that a loved one might suddenly die.

“If soone innocent and good spends a fortune on a fake feather, wouldn’t that person—or soone close to them—turn into a demon out of despair?”

“So what are you, not a Goblin but a benevolent ‘Guardian’? Bringing golden treasures to the good and chaos to the wicked?”

“It’s only natural to ensure the product is flawless for honest transactions.”

That was common sense.

“Then what about the fake? Isn’t the one going to auction a counterfeit?”

“Tell good buyers the truth. Say you handed over a fake to avoid theft, and the item you’re giving now is the real one. Warn them to guard it carefully since others will target it.” 𐍂АN𝙤ΒƐŠ

Phoenix Feathers weren’t sothing you left lying around without reason.

Many people coveted them, and those targeting the feather were already scattered across the world.

Rather than aiming for the auction itself,

They aid for the seller, plotting to steal the feather.

“Let’s go. This place seems dangerous now.”

“Huh? Weren’t you working here?”

“I can always read novels later. Lives are at stake.”

A small sphere rolled toward the bench where we sat.

It was a tangerine.

The small tangerine, with its slightly split skin, began oozing juice.

It looked eerily like soone’s head bleeding profusely after being struck.

This was her ssage, sent from Jeju Island for everyone to see.

“Honestly, the researchers don’t really care about . I disappeared in the middle of their work, so they probably think I just went back.”

“Then, should we do that thing we haven’t done in a while?”

Seong Ji-eun placed her hand expectantly on my thigh.

“Mind giving your noona a bit of a boost?”

“If you’re carrying sothing inside you, it won’t work with my body.”

“…Oh.”

Seong Ji-eun imdiately looked crestfallen, rubbing her abdon.

“…Right, I can’t just discard this for my convenience….”

“Again, again.”

“Co on, it was just a joke.”

Seong Ji-eun stood up and snapped her fingers. Instantly, her outfit shimred in an orange glow, transforming into a new form.

“Shall we go, then? Let’s see who’s bothering our poor bald uncle this ti.”

[Transformation.]

She looked as if she were wearing a sci-fi fantasy bodysuit.

Just like when I transform as a goblin to change my clothing, Seong Ji-eun—Chaos—created her own costu.

[Transformation.]

I transford as well.

[What’s that?]

[Jeju Goblin Legion Form.]

It was ti to showcase a new concept I’d picked up on Jeju Island.

[Isn’t this perfect for taking down villains far away in Jeju? I’ve beco much stronger than before too.]

[…A stronger Goblin, huh. I like it, I like it….]

Chaos tilted her head slightly, as if sothing didn’t sit right with her.

[Ever since you started wearing the Goblin mask, you’ve stopped calling ‘noona.’ It makes a little sad, you know.]

[…Do Ji-hwan and Goblin are different entities.]

While it was fine during casual tis, it was a different matter when on a mission.

Goblin was an executioner under the Chief, soone who stood shoulder-to-shoulder with the executive-level mbers.

[By the way, that look—I’ve never seen it before.]

[It’s a new concept. To be precise, it follows the the of eradicating demons.]

I climbed onto my bike, slinging a new item I’d created—a giant anti-materiel sniper rifle based on the Goblin Bat—over my shoulder.

[Let’s go to Jeju City. Before the remaining hair on that bald guy’s head disappears, we need to secure an ally for our society.]

At that mont, near the northern coast of Jeju City.

“Ahhh!!”

Desmond, the president of Fayegreen, rolled forward, too panicked to even notice that his wig had fallen off.

“Help! Sobody help !!”

“I told you, I’m not going to kill you!!”

Chasing after Desmond was a blond man in a denim jacket and jeans, wearing a Yankees cap pulled low over his head.

“Hey, Mr. Desmond! Stop right there! Sell the Phoenix Feather!”

“I told you, I’ll sell it at the auction, Mr. ‘Grand Canyon’!!”

“What?! Did you just call a b****?! You called a b****! That’s it! I’ll take the Phoenix Feather as compensation for this insult!!”

“Damn it, this lunatic…!”

The blond man, Grand Canyon, lit both hands with flas and hurled them wildly at Desmond.

It was a clear act of villainy to use magic power against a civilian. Naturally, a hero would respond to such villainous behavior.

But what do you do when the person committing villainous acts is a hero? Not just any hero, but an S-class hero active in the United States?

[Stop, Grand Canyon. Any further, and this will be considered villainous behavior.]

Even so, stopping him was necessary.

Attacking an innocent civilian is unacceptable.

“Hah! Communicating with tangerines? Impressive. You really are Master Citrus!”

[I’m Ji Chun-hyang, not Citrus.]

“Sa difference!”

Ji Chun-hyang, far away, was fending off Grand Canyon’s attacks by manipulating tangerines near Desmond and sending them flying like magic bullets.

“Sorry, but the compatibility isn’t in your favor!”

However, the tangerine bombs didn’t even reach Grand Canyon’s body.

“Let show you the flas of this body, the greatest pyrokineticist, the apprentice of Master Phoenix!”

[You’re not an apprentice!]

“Hah! Learning through experience makes an apprentice!”

Grand Canyon’s entire body was engulfed in roaring flas, evaporating the juice from the tangerines before it could even touch him.

“Do you think re tangerines can stop ? If you really want to stop , use durians instead! Flare!!”

[Why is soone called ‘Grand Canyon’ using fire powers?!]

“Because it’s cool!!”

Grand Canyon spread his arms wide and began spinning like a top.

As he spun, the red flas around him swirled into a vortex, burning up all the flying tangerines and surging toward Desmond.

“The Phoenix is Arica’s hero! The Phoenix Feather belongs to the Phoenix! Therefore, the Phoenix Feather is Arica’s property!”

“That’s the most absurd logic I’ve ever heard!!”

“Absurd?! I cannot forgive it! As an Arican, I can’t tolerate soone auctioning off the Phoenix Feather in Korea instead of Arica! The Phoenix Feather must be Arica’s resource!”

“In a capitalist world, such claims an nothing! Damn it, at this rate….”

“The Rider won’t be showing up!”

Whoosh!

Grand Canyon spread his arms even wider, sending streams of fla shooting out in all directions.

“Bringer Salamander!!”

“Ahhh! Attacking civilians, really?!”

“I’m just apprehending soone illegally possessing and attempting to sell an item with unclear ownership! Give the Phoenix Feather, Desmond, and surrender!”

Bang.

A projectile flew in from afar.

It was unmistakably a mana-concentrated cluster bomb.

“Ugh…!”

Grand Canyon clutched his head and collapsed.

The magic bullet had struck him squarely on the crown, knocking him unconscious.

“W-What in the…?”

Step, step.

A man wearing a mask resembling a chanical face and draped in a poncho-like garnt of green and black approached, leisurely carrying an anti-materiel sniper rifle over his shoulder.

“Who… are you…?”

[Goblin.]

The man who called himself Goblin placed the sniper rifle against the unconscious Grand Canyon’s forehead.

[Villains are for sniping.]

Bang.
