Shen ng slept until past six o’clock, when she woke up her head was still in a fog and slightly aching. She gently rubbed the wound on her forehead and couldn’t help but hiss in pain. Ming Fang, hearing this from the outer room, imdiately ran in.
"Aunt, are you awake? Are you hungry? Dad has made so food, would you like to get up and eat sothing?"
Shen ng shook her head; she had just woken up and didn’t feel hungry at all, only a bit thirsty. She was about to ask Ming Fang to pour her so water when the door was pushed open and Lu Zhenping walked in. Maybe it was because she was lying down, but from this angle, she thought Lu Zhenping looked extrely tall.
"Do you still feel unwell?"
Shen ng grimaced and nodded slightly, she indeed felt uncomfortable. She had thought that she would recover quickly just like when she first ca through ti, but unexpectedly her headache worsened after sleeping.
"We can’t go on like this, I’ll go find soone to take you to the hospital."

Lu Zhenping, hearing her voice sounding a bit off, put his hand on her forehead and felt it was hot. He didn’t dare delay any longer and turned around to leave. Lu Mingfang, seeing her mother looking sowhat wilted, gently touched her forehead with her small hand, heartachingly pressed her little face against Shen ng’s forehead.
"Mom, are you feeling very uncomfortable?"
"It’s okay, Ming Fang, Mom is fine, don’t worry!"
In the main room, Ming Yang, Ming Liang, and Lu Mingkai were waiting for Shen ng to co out to eat. Seeing their father rush out in a flurry, they hurried into the room and all three of them leaned over to the edge of the heated brick bed. Lu Mingkai just managed to reach the edge, rubbing his feet back and forth, he kicked off his shoes and forcefully climbed onto the bed, resting his small head on Shen ng’s legs.
"Mom, what’s wrong, do you still have a headache?"
Lu Mingyang, watching Shen ng squinting with a pained expression, felt his eyes redden with anger,
"It’s all grandfather’s fault, it’s all because of him, Mom wouldn’t be suffering like this if it weren’t for him, I’m going to confront him." Saying this, he rushed outside.

Lu Mingyang stubbornly looked at Shen ng, his steps moving towards the door, still wanting to run outside; his mother had been hit today for no reason, he saw it quite clearly, her forehead was even red.
They had already split the family assets and were living well on their own; his mother never caused trouble, staying at ho every day looking after Xiao Kai and them all. Why did anyone need to bully their mother? He, Ming Liang, and Ming Fang had just begun to live a comfortable and peaceful life.
"Mom, rest here, I will be back soon."
Lu Mingyang didn’t listen and with rising resentnt in his heart, he dashed outside rapidly. Shen ng called after him several tis but couldn’t make him stay. She staggered, trying to get off the bed, but Lu Mingliang swiftly took her shoes away.
"Mom, don’t go, just lie down. Let the big brother handle it, if he wasn’t so quick, I would have gone too!"
"What did you say?"
Shen ng couldn’t believe it. She rembered the words she heard in her dreams, those dreadful descriptions about Lu Mingyang and Lu Mingliang, how she had tried her best to be kind to the two children and resolve the hatred in their hearts. She stared blankly at the child in front of her.
"As soon as we separated the household, Grandpa ca back and started bullying Mom with a broom. If this continues, it could beco a habit. Occasionally, they would co bully you. It’s only because Dad returned today that they even compensated us. If Dad hadn’t been here, who knows what condition Mom and the rest of us would end up in. Mom, you don’t know, Fourth Aunt pulled out a huge clump of Ming Fang’s hair. I watched, angrily grinding my teeth."
"So angry I grind my teeth, let’s shave Fourth Aunt bald." Lu Mingkai, stretching out his little hand, hugged Xiangxiang’s mother and said in a babyish tone.
The words from these two brothers made Shen ng shiver. She looked down at the adorable Lu Mingkai, thinking how could such a small child say sothing so cruel?
Shen ng swallowed and, wanting to be sure, asked again.
"Ming Kai, Mommy’s good boy, what did you say just now? Mom didn’t hear clearly."
Lu Mingkai’s eyes sparkled, thinking his mom wanted to praise him, he quickly straightened his little body, and with a toothy smile, chirped: "Shave Fourth Aunt’s head bald, yes, Big Brother should go annoy Grandpa, it’d be good if he gets a beating, and then Dad can hit back, hehehe..."

Shen ng, with trembling hands, pointed at Lu Mingliang and said, "Go now, while Mom can still talk to you nicely. If you don’t go, from now on, you, Lu Mingyang, and Lu Mingkai should not call Mom. I will only have Ming Fang as my daughter. You better believe what I say. When I’m serious, I won’t even want your father, believe ."
Her harsh words caused Lu Mingliang to freeze and shrink for a mont. Coming back to his senses, he looked at Shen ng in panic.
"Mom, don’t be mad, I’m going to find Big Brother right now, please don’t disown us, don’t be mad, please, don’t be mad."
He turned and ran outside only to see his big brother being dragged back ho by the scruff of his neck by their Dad.
Lu Mingliang: "...."
Did my brother even reach Grandpa’s house or not???
"What are you dawdling for? Your mom’s not feeling well, I’m taking her to the hospital right now. You guys eat and go to sleep early. Your Third Uncle will watch over you until you fall asleep, then he’ll leave. You’re grown now, able to take care of yourselves, right!?"
Lu Mingyang, being dragged, had a red face; his Dad’s tone was clearly condescending. He stood on tiptoe to make it more comfortable for himself. Despite looking flustered, he still stiffened his neck and said, "I can!"
"Good boy, then eat, wash up, and go to sleep early. Your Third Uncle will co over later. Lock the doors properly, take good care of Xiao Kai. Tomorrow, heat up your buns, eat so soy sauce with beans and then go to school. You’re already grown-ups, not little kids anymore. Don’t rely on Mom for everything, like you haven’t been weaned."
