Mou Feng let out a dramatic "Oh my" and hurriedly covered her chest.
"Oh my, you silly girl, have you taken gunpowder? You scared to death!"
"Mom, are you okay? I didn't an it just now. Are you okay? Do you need so dicine?"
Mou Feng waved her hand and said sothing to Shen ng and Lu Zhenping, then went upstairs. She guessed her daughter was angry because of matters related to the Yuan Family, so it was better for her to head upstairs and not disturb the young ones' conversation.
As soon as she went up, the other two Bai siblings and their spouses ca downstairs. Upon seeing Lu Zhenping and Shen ng, they hurriedly greeted them, but as soon as their eyes landed on Bai Shan, their pace quickened. They also wanted to know what happened next.
"How's it going, Shan Shan?"
"Yeah, we were planning to visit Yuan Zhi at the hospital this afternoon. Has he woken up yet?"

Bai Shan was so angry, he ground his teeth and slamd the coffee table furiously.
"Yuan Zhi's awake. He's still in a daze getting IVs. The mont he opened his eyes, he saw Jin Xiangyu holding his hand crying. He thought he had so terrible disease, and started to comfort her incessantly, saying that if he really had a terminal illness, he wouldn't drag her down. When Xiangyu told him about what happened last night, he felt like the sky fell on him and took ages to speak. Then he jumped out of bed, knelt, and apologized, saying he felt filthy and sorry for her. Xiangyu was heartbroken. You tell , what kind of ss is this? Why make the young couple suffer this? The Bai and Yuan Families' kindness of nurturing, teaching, and raising, does it all an nothing to Yuan Niannian?"
The Bai family fell into a montary silence. After a while, the elder sister-in-law of the Bai Family shakily poured herself a glass of water.
"Speaking of which, we have to thank Zhenping and Xiao ng for it. Without them, Yuan Zhi and Jin Xiangyu's romance would've ended in ruins."
"Who said it wasn't so, and where's Yuan Niannian now?"

Fortunately, during the al, Shen ng didn't ntion the incident, and her looks toward Mou Feng were normal. Only then did Mou Feng breathe a sigh of relief, growing fonder of Shen ng.
The next morning, Shen ng and Lu Zhenping packed their things and left the guesthouse. Downstairs, Bai Shan and Bai Yan, the siblings, were already waiting for them.
"So early, we said you didn't have to see us off. This place is quite far from the station; we could just take a rickshaw there ourselves."
