"Just do it," she soaked the vermicelli and sesa leaves, then scooped a ladle of wheat flour and a ladle of corn flour with a sand basin, added water, and started kneading the dough.

After washing the old green beans, she chopped them and put them in a bowl, adding flour and a bit of vegetable oil to mix.

She poured the boiling water prepared by Ming Kai into the thermos, first fried a few eggs and set them aside in a bowl, it looked plentiful, she picked a piece with chopsticks and fed it to Lu Mingkai, the little guy squinted with joy.

Then she added lard to the pot and after stirring the green beans in, it wasn’t long before bursts of fragrance emanated, the oil and flour quickly turned a golden color, she scooped two ladles of water into it and covered with a lid.

"Mom, this green bean soup slls really good!"

"Right, son, Mom also kneaded the dough, soon I’ll make so big dumplings, eat more at noon!"

"Okay!"

Lu Mingkai eagerly watched the steaming pot while also carefully tending to the fire in the stove.

Shen ng found two tomatoes in the vegetable basket, washed and chopped them, put them into the pot, added a handful of vermicelli, green vegetables, covered, and simred for five minutes, it was almost ready.

She then started chopping the vermicelli and sesa leaves, mixed the filling, and began to roll out the dough to wrap the dumplings.

Added water to a small pot, set up the stear and began steaming the dumplings.

Once the al was ready, she found a radish, shredded it, mixed it up, and a simple lunch was prepared.

Lu Zhenping ca ho with three of Mingyang’s kids, you could sll the aroma from the old courtyard, Daqing and the kids were drooling, Ming Liang whispered to Daqing promising to bring him sothing delicious, making the kids look at him gratefully.

After returning ho, they started to arrange washing hands and serving the al themselves, Shen ng didn’t do anything, just waiting in the main room, a basket full of dumplings piled high.

"Mingyang, go find a stear cloth, take a few dumplings to your third aunt and Xiao Gang, Mom made plenty, enough for our family."

"Alright!"

Ming Liang seized the mont: "Mom, can I keep one for Daqing and them? Just one is fine, they pass by our door but don’t wish to leave, they are really craving it."

"Sure, why not, these are wrapped with sesa leaves, not worth much. You give one each to Daqing, Erqing, Gao Gao, and Yaoyao, bring them when going to school, so Second Grandmother can’t complain."

Lu Zhenping watched the two kids take so dumplings from the basket to give away, said nothing, feeling good about his son having such a kind heart.

Last night, he saw Ah Man and her grandson who Shen ng has been helping; the old lady’s health has improved a lot, no longer often lacking food or clothes. Though the cattle pen is still rudintary, their food and drink have improved substantially. However, the cattle pen is not safe, the idlers in the village often rob their food, ostensibly inspecting for any exploitation of socialism’s corner.

Just as they started eating, Mingyang ca back with Lu Jiasheng, his face gloomy, walked directly into the main room and sat down on the floor.

"Big brother, about the matter we talked about last ti, if you are free today, help handle it. I’ve spoken to the village chief, divide the household, do it imdiately. I haven’t been working recently, have borrowed a thousand or two bricks, building a house will be quick, I want to separate and live just with Jinghao and the two kids."

Lu Zhenping could tell sothing happened just by the look, he was too lazy to ask, the separation of Lu Jiasheng’s family had been discussed before, this ti he himself contacted the village chief and Secretary, it was clear he was determined.

"Okay, I’ll co over after dinner."

Lu Jiasheng breathed a sigh of relief, slling the fragrant als, and thinking about the plain soup his family had, his desire to split the family beca more urgent. He pursed his lips and said to Shen ng, "Sister-in-law, I have an embarrassing request to discuss with you."

Shen ng: "...."

If you think it’s embarrassing, then it’s better not to ntion it!!!

"Hehehe, it’s about the bricks and tiles, could you help get a black tile, a thatched cottage would do too, but if we’re splitting and building houses, might as well do it better in one go."

"Don’t ask your sister-in-law about that; she got those tiles through a fluke and owed a lot of favors. I’ll handle it for you. How much money do you have? Let estimate."

Lu Jiasheng just asked on a whim, not expecting it to be possible. He stood up swiftly and walked over to Lu Zhenping, chuckling several tis.

"Big brother, I still have over fifty bucks, and I was thinking if we split the family, I would also get so money, and then buying black tiles would definitely be enough."

Lu Zhenping took three big bites of a large dumpling, sipped so string bean soup, and turned his head to look at Lu Jiasheng.

"Okay, I’ll go ask about it later and try to get it done for you soon. Once the family splits, you’ll have to stand on your own and manage your household. Work hard to earn work points, take more jobs during the slack farming season, and live a vibrant and prosperous life."

The usually reticent big brother suddenly speaking to him like this caused a surge of bitterness in Lu Jiasheng’s eyes. He wiped away a tear, quickly agreed, and rushed back to inform Xie Jinghao.

"Why didn’t you let go to Dr. Cheng?"

"You helped soone without expecting anything in return. Favors run out one day, and bothering them again would be inappropriate. I know so people, it will be quick, don’t worry."

Shen ng: "..."

Buddy, you are wrong, I’m not as noble as you think!!!

After the children went to school, Shen ng took Lu Mingkai and Lu Zhenping to the Lu Family. She actually didn’t want to join this bustling scene but really missed the little girl in Xie Jinghao’s family, such a small, soft bundle, like a kitten in her arms, very precious.

Xie Jinghao wasn’t involved in the splitting of the family, she and the two children were talking to Shen ng indoors, her expression was very relaxed, and she was full of anticipation for the days after the family division.

"If you like girls, sister-in-law, you could have another one!"

Hmm???

"No, no, my family already has four kids, I’m incredibly busy every day, I wouldn’t dare to have another!"

While saying this, Shen ng reached down and rubbed her stomach. The original owner had long been doing farm work, and the soft excess flesh was gone, but since her arrival, she hadn’t exercised properly, and the flesh was still soft; it had been so for several years, and if she had another child, she didn’t know if she could ever return to being this slim.

She loved children and thought about having one herself for fun, but the dical conditions at this ti greatly discouraged her. She had once lain in the hospital for a long ti, and she still had so aversions to going to hospitals.

This family division wasn’t like the ti when Shen ng divided her family, it didn’t take long, and soon Lu Zhenping was there to take them away. Just at the doorway, he heard the two people’s conversation, and seeing Shen ng’s refusal, his brow furrowed.
