May was nearly over.
We had already blown past the 15th, aning less than half the month remained. But once you cross that halfway point, ti starts slipping by in a blink.
It’s the sa with a single day. Once you’ve spent about half of your waking hours, the rest just vanishes in a blur.
Makes wonder if this isn’t so kind of universal law or sothing.
Anyway, the fact that May is almost over signals two things for .
First, the second Grand Banquet—ant to gather all of Incheon—is right around the corner. Second, my Jeju Island date with Go Seonyul is also fast approaching.
Since the end of April, I’ve t Go Min-young, Go Hayan, Go Hayoung, and Go Minji in succession—and now I’ve got the Grand Banquet and a date with Go Seonyul lined up...
It’s an absolutely brutal schedule.
What makes it worse is that I still don’t know much about Go Seonyul.
The Go Seon-line is even more unreadable than any of the other won in the Go family.
Go Min-young and Go Minji are basically conquered at this point. Go Hayoung and I are close enough to casually sext, and with Go Hayan, I’m in a push-and-pull kind of ga.
But Seonyul and Seona? I’ve barely had any contact with them.
‘Hell, Go Seona hasn’t interacted with at all—except that one ti she gave the land in Songdo.’
At least with Seonyul, we’re in a group chat, we exchange ssages now and then, and this date was planned—so there’s sothing going on.
But Seona?
I have no read on her whatsoever.
The other Go won go out of their way to talk to —hell, they practically try to devour alive when they get the chance. But Go Seona? She just seems completely uninterested.
Even when she handed the deed to the Songdo land, she just tossed it on the desk and walked back to her seat.
I don’t know if that was an act or if she genuinely doesn’t care, but either way, it makes her unreadable as hell.
‘This ti, I’ll have to get so clues through her daughter.’
My ultimate goal is to stand at the top of Koryo Group.
And to have all the won of the Go family.
Naturally, that includes Go Seona.
Not a single exception allowed.
Which is why this upcoming date with Go Seonyul in Jeju carries so much weight.
‘Ah... saying it like that makes it sound like I’m just using Seonyul as a tool. That’s not fair—she matters too, of course.’
Each and every one of them is part of my goal.
That includes Seonyul—absolutely.
Hi Muyeol. You rember we’re eting the week after next, right? First we’ll visit the Jeju Contemporary Art Museum and then tour Jeju together. I’m really looking forward to it. Spending a day traveling with you... Ah, is that weird for siblings? Don’t get wrong. I’m not thinking anything weird—I’m just excited to have a chance to bond with you. Of course, if you were thinking that way... I an, not that I would necessarily be against it, but—ah, forget it. God, what am I even saying. Anyway! The day’s getting closer and I can feel myself getting giddy. That emotion’s been seeping into my work too... I guess I’m still a woman, after all.
Oh, speaking of work—did you read the book I sent you before? If you haven’t had the ti, I’d at least recomnd skimming one of the beginner texts. Ideally, I’d ✧ NоvеIight ✧ (Original source) love for you to read them all before viewing my work, but I know you’re busy lately. Just having the basics will help. These days, art channels are really well curated too. If you’re curious, here are so Mityube videos I’d recomnd watching:
[links omitted for brevity]
These three are great starting points. They break down recent artistic trends in a way that’s super beginner-friendly. If you’re new to the art world, they’ll help a lot.
Oh, and... (ssage cuts off)
Sigh...
My head’s already starting to hurt.
God...
I’d better intervene before this spirals into sothing even worse.
Of course, noona.
I rember.
I’m looking forward to it too.
And as for the art books...
I haven’t been able to check them out yet.
Sorry.
Thankfully, just responding got her to stop the wall of text before it turned into an endless barrage.
Oh, really?
Well, it makes sense—you’ve been busy.
It’s fine. Totally understandable.
I get it.
Then... as you said,
I’ll try to read at least the beginner stuff.
Will you?
It’ll be worth it.
It’ll help you grow your sensibility as the future owner of the museum.
The videos I sent are a good supplent too.
Yes, definitely.
I’ll make sure to check them out.
By the way, is there any place in Jeju you want to visit?
I honestly don’t rember much about the island.
That’s okay. We’ve got plenty of ti.
Huh? Really?
Yeah.
Just in case,
I cleared out all of Jeju.
There’ll still be a few tourists or locals around, but the main areas will be wide open.
So even if you think of sowhere later, no worries.
Ah...
Cleared out... Jeju...
How enormous is her reach?
I can’t even begin to wrap my head around her scale.
Wait... does that an you... own Jeju Island?
Technically it belongs to South Korea.
So on a macro level, you’d say the state owns it.
But if you’re asking who holds the private land titles...
That would be .
Ah.
Well, okay then.
But like, could you just say “Yes” or “No”? Why does it always have to be so roundabout?
And Muyeol,
Don’t call noona.
We’re going on a trip together and everything. “Noona” feels too distant.
Ah, sorry.
What should I call you then?
Just call nuna.
And stop apologizing.
Yes, nuna.
So damn picky.
Or you can use my na.
Try calling “Seonyul~”
Ah, that’s a bit...
The Confucian in is throwing a fit right now.
Hehe.
Alright.
Then just stick to “nuna.”
What kind of punk younger brother calls his noble older sister by her na?
Absolutely not.
Nuna,
I’ll reach out again later.
I need to get back to work now.
Ah, okay.
I’ve got work to wrap up too—so ongoing art projects.
Alright.
Take care, nuna.
You too.
See you soon.
Conversation ended.
For so reason, my palm was sweaty from holding the phone.
That’s the power of a long-text ambush, I guess.
‘Even Go Minji shuts the hell up in front of her, so this level of pressure makes sense.’
I put my phone away and called over a nearby secretary.
“Rember those art books Seonyul nuna sent ? Bring them here.”
“Yes, Lord.”
There was still a lot to do for the Grand Banquet, but I could spare a little ti.
The Jeju date’s almost here—it’s about ti I skimd the books.
Soon, the secretaries ca flooding in, piling up books.
No exaggeration—it was enough to fill a damn library.
And she had the nerve to call that the “basics.”
Sure, there were advanced and university-level and doctoral-level books too, but most of it was what she considered beginner material.
“Phew...”
A corner of my heart felt heavy, but I picked one up and opened it anyway.
