Chapter 21: Joyful Buddha – Vajra Pestle!

Swish!

The woman waved her hand, and in an instant, a red pair of scissors appeared in her grasp. She slashed directly toward Lu Jin’s face.

In her dim, eerie eyes, a twisted madness flickered.

“Hmph!”

Lu Jin let out a cold snort as the Vajra prayer beads in his hand shot out.

Behind him, the phantom of a wrathful Vajra Buddha appeared, wielding a pestle to subdue demons. As the prayer beads descended, they bore down on the woman.

Seeing this, the black aura surrounding the woman thickened.

Swish!

She swung the scissors in her hand without hesitation, clashing against the Vajra prayer beads.

In an instant, the red scissors shattered upon impact with the beads.

The woman was sent flying more than ten ters away.

Lifting her venomous, hate-filled gaze, she stared daggers at Lu Jin. Raising her hand, the black aura gathered once again, gradually forming the shape of scissors.

“Bang!”

Lu Jin’s eyes turned cold as he rushed forward.

Empowered by the Vajra’s strength, he clenched his prayer beads like brass knuckles and delivered a devastating punch straight to the woman’s face.

At this point, he had no intention of showing rcy.

Especially to a demonic entity.

Trying to kill him?

Then she should prepare to et the Buddha!

Lu Jin had no idea how much power his Vajra-enhanced punch carried.

The string of prayer beads was now no different from a pair of knuckle dusters in his hand.

As his fist landed, the woman’s beautiful face twisted and deford, her neck snapping to the side.

Tch, still holding on?

Lu Jin narrowed his eyes as he saw that she was still in one piece.

With a single hand, he grabbed her by the throat and slamd her into the ground, raining punches down on her.

Every punch carried the force of Vajra, each strike a brutal impact.

The black aura she had gathered kept dissipating under the relentless assault, unable to reform.

Poof!

With one final punch, the eerie woman—pinned to the ground—had her head smashed apart into a cloud of black mist.

“Is it over?”

Lu Jin frowned, only to see the scattered black mist slowly converging again.

Though the demon had weakened significantly, it was still alive.

“Damn, you’re persistent.”

Noticing the crowd gathering around, Lu Jin had no choice but to use his Vajra prayer beads to seal away the demon.

Swish!

The beads coiled around the woman like chains, binding her.

As the prayer beads shrank and returned to his hand, one of the beads had turned black.

Lu Jin put away the prayer beads and walked toward the subway station.

He barely managed to catch the last train.

By the ti he returned to the temple, it was already deep into the night.

Lu Jin took out his prayer beads and released the sealed woman.

“Damn monk!”

The mont she was freed, the black-clad woman charged at Lu Jin, her face full of malice.

Swish!

A golden light flared up, sending her flying backward.

Looking around, she finally noticed fourteen prayer beads scattered on the ground.

The beads were connected by a golden light, forming a prison that confined her to a three-foot-wide space.

“Let out!”

Her body radiated intense hostility as she pulled out her red scissors, attempting to tear through the seal.

The mont the scissors touched the golden light, they shattered.

“Unruly nature!”

Lu Jin cast her a glance before closing his eyes and reciting Buddhist scriptures.

Although he could subdue this demon, he had no ans to kill her.

His only option was to chant scriptures to guide her spirit, cleansing her of resentnt.

“Damn monk, stop chanting! It’s driving crazy!”

The ethereal sound of a wooden fish drum mixed with the scriptures, buzzing in her mind like an endless swarm of flies.

Pain twisted the woman’s face.

Lu Jin remained unmoved, continuing his chanting.

At first, she struggled, but as ti passed, she realized resistance was futile.

Resigned, she sat on the ground with a deadpan expression, hugging her knees and glaring at him with hatred.

As the first light of dawn shone upon him, Lu Jin opened his eyes, ignoring the venomous stare beside him.

He collected the prayer beads and sealed the black-clad woman away once more.

Her resentnt runs too deep—it will take a long ti to fully cleanse.

Luckily, I have all the ti in the world.

He pulled out the treasures he had acquired the day before:

A slightly broken Vajra pestle, an old oil lamp, and a cracked piece of white jade.

Each item glowed faintly—not quite a magical artifact, but possessing a natural spiritual essence.

If refined, they could beco powerful tools.

Lu Jin pondered for a mont before picking up the Vajra pestle.

The Vajra pestle was a Buddhist ritual weapon, symbolizing indestructibility and divine power.

A typical Vajra pestle had two symtrical, lantern-like ends, resembling a hamr.

However, the one in his hand was… different.

One end had the usual lantern shape.

The other end, though…

Lu Jin glanced at it, a strange sense of familiarity washing over him.

The pestle was covered in cracks, but faintly, he could make out a carved figure of a Buddha.

Yet, the depiction was… unusual.

A man sat cross-legged, his right leg bent outward, his left leg tucked in.

A woman straddled him, her round hips pressed against his thigh.

They embraced with four arms entwined, bodies pressed together in intimate union—both completely naked.

Lu Jin frowned, searching his mory.

Then it clicked.
