The mont Spades’ hand passed through Bai Liu’s chest, the heart that Bai Liu had fastened to his arteries slipped out of his back.
The heart that continued beating sunk into the abyss of the dark blue ocean. Bai Liu’s eyes were half-closed, he knew it was useless, but he couldn’t help himself from reaching out for the heart that had disappeared into the deep blue-black sea.
Slender fingers opened and closed feebly in the cold seawater.
Spades grabbed Bai Liu by the ribs and lifted him upwards for a mont, while he turned and chased towards the depths, clearly trying to grab the heart and destroy it.
Bai Liu spread his limbs in a dazed manner, slowly, passively floating upwards under the force of lift, to the surface of the borderless ocean laced with a fine phosphorus glow.
The sun is sunken silently below the horizon, with only a vague, silvery fra of shimring light gilding the edges of the infinite waters.
Glaciers and ice floes, souvenirs of a planet that has cooled and ward, or perhaps remnants, brushed past Bai Liu who was drifting in the sea, floating away along with the currents.
The pure black sky is free of clouds and only the countless stars of the universe flow through it, glowing with a srising light, dazzling like large carats of crushed diamonds, like strings of pearls scattered on a velvet cloth.
Like all the luxurious and unforgettable things in this world, the mont they break, they blossom into heartbreak and mad beauty.
And this beauty is overshadowed by a light green veil shaking from the south-eastern sky – the aurora borealis.
The aurora borealis flows through the night, its fluorescent hues floating like a cheap curtain at the beginning of a dream.
Bai Liu’s eyes were half open, his ntal value and life levels were dropping so much that it was as if his ears were hallucinating the sound of Edmond’s mournful exhortations.
[Child, never test your beloved with truth or falsity. I did that too, and I persevered through that experint, but the only conclusion I ca to was-]
[They can tell the difference.]
[What is the difference between monsters and humans? I still don’t understand it. Even if they have the sa mories, the sa body, and the sa structure as us, like another us in parallel ti and space, they are still not us in the eyes of those who love us.]
[What exactly is it that separates them from us?]
[The experint I wanted to do in the beginning was to explore whether these monsters that were produced could actually beco indistinguishable from us humans by passing the Turing test, to see how they were really different from us humans.]
[If they are the sa, then are we humans really human?]
[Perhaps we are just the sa kind of monsters placed on this planet, in this ga, carrying the mories that have been injected into us from other people, a species produced for war and self-destruction – like my superiors asked to do with these monsters.]
[I understand all the misfortunes that have been happening to , to my friends, and around all along – because we are born that way, and there is a higher being than us, or God, as he is more aptly called, who has determined the fate of the world to be so cruel.]
[If different, where do these differences co from when the body, the core, and the mories are the sa? How can anyone recognize the real us when we ourselves can’t even tell the real from the fake?]
[The people at Tarzan Station gave the answer, and in you I have verified it once again, but I am still confused why.]
[Where does this difference co from?]
[Before you ca here, there were many guests who I experinted on, so of whom left in the middle of the process, so of whom stayed here forever – and under every ice fissure here are the “corpses” of those guests’ failed experints.]
[Ti and ti again, the people at Tarzan Station erase their mories, read their files and start over. But they still recognize each other no matter who the guests are, and sotis the guests that co can also recognize each other.]
[But why?]
[Why can so people be identified and others not? Why is it that the people at Tarzan Station are always recognizable, but the guests who co can’t do so with such constancy?]
[I couldn’t find out what was affecting the results, so no matter how many tis I ran the experint, I still couldn’t manipulate the results – until I t Spades.]
[He was the fastest guest I’ve ever t to identify a teammate, he was willing to talk to and gave the answer – intuition.]
[That’s the strangest experintal variable I’ve ever heard of – if my student handed a lab report with those two words on it, I’d make him jump into the Ross Sea in sha.]
[I saw you, Bai Liu, in the mories of Spades’ friend, the Judge of Defying Gods. You would make an experint a thousand tis more extre and insane than the one I’ve done so far – you would make an insoluble ga with thousands of copies of yourself, to test another person’s perception of you.]
[I know you will do this, and I’m sure you know the consequences of that, but you want to see it again, as I do, to verify that result one more ti -]
[These Bai Liu have the sa appearance, mories, and core as you, and you have even been alienated into one of these monsters, the monster itself – so can Spades still find you?]
[Thank you for finally letting know the answer to this unsolved puzzle.]
[I always thought it was the human side that identified the side of the monster, but it wasn’t really like that. It was the side of the monster that couldn’t give back the special emotions that the human side wanted.]
[Though you are a monster, you love him, Bai Liu.]
[So you can’t hide Tawil’s heart in another “Bai Liu” body, because it’s a heart that belongs to you.]
[Your response reveals yourself.]
[Love turns you from a monster to a human being, love gives you a weakness, love makes you clutch his heart and float in the deep. Love makes you stand out from the millions of monsters and beco the most special one for Spades.]
[So he found you.]
[But do not grieve, child, it is not fate that brings you to your destiny, but love.]
[Love has kept you apart, but will bring you back together in the end].
The ice lted away in large chunks, and the pale “body” of the frozen monster inside floated on the surface, mixing with the broken ice as it swam past Bai Liu. His eyelashes condensed with very fine ice particles, glowing fluorescent green in the aurora borealis as the water rushed back and forth from his empty chest.
Soone erged from under the water. Spades wrapped his arms around Bai Liu’s waist and knees and lifted him, seemingly unconscious, to the shore, holding two hearts in his hands.
One was crushed and torn, but still beating faintly, and the other was frozen in a block of ice, so fresh it looked as if it had just been removed from the chest cavity – it was taken by Spades from the body of a [Bai Liu].
Spades moved carefully to thaw out this heart.
“This is your real heart.” Spades looked down at the motionless Bai Liu and placed the newly thawed heart inside Bai Liu’s body, “I give it back to you.”
Bai Liu’s body, already altered by Edmond, rapidly grew blood vessels to connect his heart. The thin muscles and skin of his heart healed instantly, and a slow, faint beat began to appear in his otherwise cold, stiff chest.
Spades turned around, took out the fuel and acid he had stocked in the warehouse and without a pause began to work on the heart that was still beating weakly in his hand.
The heart was reduced to ashes amidst the roasting fire and the corrosive sound of acid.
Bai Liu’s frozen fingers gripped together slightly, his dark eyes reflecting the beautiful night sky and nothing else.
Bai Liu’s chest, which had resud its heaving, stalled for a mont as the other heart was dealt with until it stopped beating.
It was as if his heartbeat had stopped with the complete cessation of the other heart.
[System Alert: Player Spades has destroyed the last piece of the corpse, and achieved the true end line achievent, all players have passed the ga, the dungeon will be closed soon ……]
As the snowfield collapses behind him, Bai Liu’s system panel jumps out and automatically exits the ga. Spades sinks to his knees beside the ashes and the seemingly dead Bai Liu, looking up slightly at the lting ice world.
Only after Bai Liu had disappeared in a puff of light at his side did Spades stand up and prepare to exit the ga.
He also didn’t understand why he had to wait for Bai Liu to quit the ga before he did.
It seems to be a deep-rooted, intuitive habit.
Spades felt as if he had watched this man exit the ga many tis as a point of light and then fall into a long darkness waiting to see this man again at the start of the next ga, so he did the sa this ti.
It’s like a subconscious instinct that must co here to destroy all of the corpse.
Spades has a vague sense that whoever designed the ga was using the body parts and hearts to trap Bai Liu forever, leaving him cold and alone in the snowy plains as a monster for the rest of his life.
This is a very likely scenario, and Liu Jiayi was even glad that the person they logged into the ga with was Spades.
Because there is nothing anyone can do to stop Bai Liu from going crazy.
If Bai Liu logged in with other players and found out that the main quest here is to destroy the corpse, the [true end] line is triggered as soon as one player finds the corpse and destroys it.
Even if you kill these players and Edmond, the ga will not end.
Because the ga is already on the [true end] line, the ga will be cleared until you play the final ending and destroy all of the corpse.
Bai Liu can also just quit the ga, but at that point the ga will be realistic and will load in reality.
After exiting Ice Age, Bai Liu will also enter a copy of Ice Age in the real world, essentially the sa as if he had stayed in the ga.
And in the real world, with the thod of destroying the body parts already known, the destruction of these particle weather devices forever is inevitable.
The body parts will definitely face the end of being completely destroyed and there will be countless people trying to do this in any way possible.
Bai Liu knew he couldn’t be an enemy of the world forever, which is why he made the choice to stay in the ga at that ti.
In this way he prevents the ga from ending, from reaching its true end, and from being loaded into reality.
It can be said that the ga is a trap designed from the beginning to the end, and the mont Bai Liu stepped into the ga, he had only two choices in front of him –
–either beco a monster forever and stay in the snowy plains.
–Or …… destroy Tawil’s heart, destroy the only emotion, love, and weakness in his psyche, beco ruthless, beco cruel, unscrupulous, calculating, and then pass the ga as a winner.
Let Bai Liu change from Bai Liu to Bai Liu (6).
This is what the people behind the curtain have been doing.
Liu Jiayi thanked from the bottom of her heart that the player they t in this ga was Spades.
Because the other players can’t stop Bai Liu from doing what he wants to do, Spades has the ability to beat Bai Liu, and as long as he wins, Bai Liu doesn’t need to choose.
As soon as Spades destroys the heart, Bai Liu will have to erge from the snowfields.
Liu Jiayi wonders where Spades’ obsession and instinct to destroy this heart ca from and who gave it to him.
Although Spades’ intuition was cruel to Bai Liu, destroying the heart of the person who was important to him.
But he did save Bai Liu.
Because he has completely destroyed Bai Liu’s only weakness, the man behind the ga will no longer be able to exploit it.
EN1: poetic writing is nice until you have to translate it..😓
EN2: so of the beginning sentences don’t really make sense in english but there’s nothing much we can do because it’s the exact translation from raws 😭
