When Armand returned to the group, Mu Sicheng, who had been knocked down by the wind, got up and tried to go on, but was held down by Bai Liu.

Bai Liu looked across the crowd and far back at Georgia eye to eye.

Georgia’s eyes lingered on the troubled Mu Sicheng for less than a second before moving to Bai Liu’s face, where the Golden Dawn captain looked at him intently and seriously, as if ready to see a hole in Bai Liu’s face with his eyes.

“Wow.” Bai Liu smiled, “This Captain Georgia looks like he knows .”

Tang Erda’s expression faded: “……shouldn’t be, if he does rember what [you]1 did, he’ll just attack now.”

“Georgia is a man who goes out with a clean slate.”

“So why does this Captain Georgia keep staring at ?” Bai Liu looked up at Tang Erda with a pensive expression, “It’s not like he fell in love with at first sight, is it?”

Tang Erda couldn’t help but blurt out, “It’s not impossible, he only t you once before he ran off with you too……”

Bai Liu: “……”

But fortunately Georgia didn’t watch Bai Liu for too long, and when Armand rejoined him, Georgia withdrew his gaze and led the group on as if he had never seen Bai Liu before.

Panicked by the wind, the onlookers instead quickly cheered and scread – they interpreted the accident they had just had as a duelling performance.

The clear winner of the showdown was Armand, which ans that the good-looking newcor also has so serious fighting qualities, which got the Golden Dawn supporters pretty excited.

The cheers reached a peak as if provocative as the bright gold-coloured team passed Bai Liu and the others.

Mu Sicheng is even more grumpy: “Shit, that ans my skills are banned, if we can go into the ga and fight it out……”

“All right.” Bai Liu swept him lightly, “You’ve already given them such good publicity today, don’t give it away, go train.”

“……fine.” Mu Sicheng stifled a fist, realising his impulsiveness, and his fingers changed from monkey paws back to human form, without speaking.

They headed back towards the boarding gate to start the next round of training.

——

Two gas later, Liu Jiayi’s system panel popped up in the swamp and the poisonous fog with a ssage saying:

[System Alert: Player Liu Jiayi has reached the required number of gas to register for the league, do you want to register?]

Liu Jiayi glanced up at Bai Liu and took a deep breath at the look of certainty in his eyes.

[OK.]

[Registration Guild Choice: Killer Sequence, King’s Guild …… Wandering Circus ……]

Liu Jiayi’s eyes paused for a mont over the King’s Guild crown logo before choosing the Wandering Circus.

[System Alert: You have beco one of the registered players in the (Wandering Circus) Guild League, please find all the other four teammates as soon as possible ……]

The mont Liu Jiayi’s entry was confird, a picture of her appeared at the end of the popularity poll announcent – an oddly angled shot of Liu Jiayi with her veil half blown up by the wind, standing over so behemoth using poison, her movents ruthless and crisp, her mouth tilted up at the corners in a childishly playful and innocent manner.

This is a default entry photo that was set up for her in advance by the King’s Guild.

This picture could not have been a screenshot from a small TV because it was too close to her and wasn’t the perspective of a small TV, it was clearly a person very close to her stealing a picture of her in combat.

Liu Jiayi stared blankly at the photo – the angle from which she rembered the person standing behind her in that ga to give her defence was …… Hearts .

After she had killed the big monster, Hearts looked at her with a smile on her face and, without hesitation, drew a playing card then attacked her with a raised hand, cutting the veil of an unprepared Liu Jiayi and scraping a bloody mark on the side of her face.

She looked up at Hearts in amazent and Liu Jiayi wondered why she was doing this.

Hearts crouched down to look at her levelly, smiled and said to her, “That’s the first lesson I’ll teach you about league, don’t trust your teammate so easily, even if she’s standing behind you.”

Hearts lowered her brimming eyes and whispered, “- you don’t know when your teammates around you are going crazy. They will betray you and attack you.”

“Teammates aren’t reliable, the only person you can trust as a tactician in a ga is yourself, and your absolute control over your teammates – making them, even if they go mad, just weapons under you.”

Liu Jiayi paused for a mont, replacing the photo and walked out of the boarding area with her head up.

Liu Jiayi’s ssage to sign up for the league scrolled on the system panel’s popularity bulletin board, while at the sa ti, her system panel suddenly burst into bulletin fireworks.

[System Alert: Player Liu Jiayi has joined the Wandering Circus team!]

[System Announcent: Player Liu Jiayi has permanently withdrawn from the King’s Guild team!]

Liu Jiayi saw a certain old acquaintance standing upright not far from the exit of the boarding house amidst the falling pieces of electronic fireworks.

Qi Yifang was holding the two boxes with red eyes and seed to have cried a lot, but in front of Liu Jiayi, he barely managed to look like an older brother, smiling as if he was crying at Liu Jiayi, who had just logged out of the ga.

“Congratulations to the little witch for joining the league!”

Liu Jiayi’s footsteps stop as he heads out the door.

Behind her Bai Liu gently pushed her forward, “Go on, say goodbye to him properly.”

Liu Jiayi slowly walked up to Qi Yifang, who seed very happy to see her and tried to smile, but when he did, tears flowed down his face and he couldn’t stop crying.

“Oooh Jiayi, you’re so good, I’m so happy to see it……”

Qi Yifang squatted down with tears in his eyes and sniffled twice: “I, I joined the official team Jiayi.”

Liu Jiayi gave him a look: “Isn’t that nice?”

“It’s not good at all, wuuu2.” Qi Yifang said and shed two more tears of sadness, “We’ve been grinding and training with a nun player recently, she’s so good that Liu Ji and I can’t keep up with her. The queen calls a loser every day, I’m so scared when I think we’ll have to fight against you later, wuuuuuuuuu.”

“What if we win?” Qi Yifang cried so hard that snot bubbles ca out of his nose, “The Queen said she wouldn’t show you rcy.”

Liu Jiayi couldn’t help but laugh as she hugged her chest and raised her chin with a grunt, “Don’t underestimate my new team, it’s not certain who will win!”

“Stop crying!” Liu Jiayi said with a headache, “Aren’t you ashad of yourself for crying like that?”

Qi Yifang handed the box to Liu Jiayi and relayed Queen Hearts’ words to her, sobbing in his own defence: “It was supposed to be the guild’s new head of information who ca to deliver sothing to you, but he swiped the system ssage that you had joined the league on the way and couldn’t take it in for a mont.”

“He’s crying worse than I am, the other preps are all crying in their dorms right now and I’m the only one who can control myself a little, so I’ve been asked to co and bring you sothing.”

Liu Jiayi took the two boxes in silence before Qi Yifang pulled a pair of skates out of nowhere and handed them to Liu Jiayi.

It’s a vibrant pink pair of skates with a doll and a little witch holding hands awkwardly painted on one side – both of which are obviously later additions.

Liu Jiayi looked up in surprise at the sight of the skates: “[Super Speed Ice Skates]? Where did you guys get this? I don’t rember a Level 3 copy of this item appearing for a long ti.”

“There is a copy of this in the ga pool, but it’s hard to gather the monster book to get this prop.” Qi Yifang said pathetically, “It took a group of us more than half a month to get a pair. Liu Ji took them out, he got injured trying to get this, but it was a blessing in disguise, he improved a lot in the process of brushing the book3, so he could be selected for the official team.”

The smile on Liu Jiayi’s face faded.

Qi Yifang went on to say, “We were going to give you a gift when you get into the league, you can’t move very fast and you can run faster with these shoes and not get hurt easily.”

“Now you’re in the league.” Qi Yifang pushed the prop in front of Liu Jiayi and looked at her blearily, “Take it.”

Liu Jiayi looked at him quietly, then spoke calmly, “Half a month ago I was a mber of the King’s Guild, but now I’m not, and I’m not in the league for you, so this is sothing I won’t……”

“But we are!!!” Qi Yifang’s eyes ran with tears as he half knelt down and took a hard step forward to hug Liu Jiayi, bawling, “We want to be on the team because we want to protect you!”

Liu Jiayi’s breath hitched slightly.

Qi Yifang choked out, “No matter whose team you choose to join, we want you to be safe.”

“The Queen said the tournant was cruel and fair, and she said that you were a very intelligent person and that you could see that we were deliberately letting you off the hook and letting you live in the tournant in order to keep you alive, and that this in turn would interfere with the play of your strength and make you more dangerous in the tournant because you would also go soft on us and influence your own decisions.”

Liu Jiayi’s fingers are curled and clenched.

Qi Yifang closed his eyes, “We’re not as smart as you and we didn’t know what to do. After thinking about it for a long ti, we thought this was the only way.”

His eyes snapped open and he clutched Liu Jiayi in his arms: “We swear to fight you with all our might, Jiayi, and you will fight us with all your might, and if you find us coming after you, run!”

“Run as far as you can! So that we can’t catch up with you with all our might! Run until the ga is over!”

“You must live!”

Liu Jiayi laughed lightly, her eyes seemingly teary, and reached out to give Qi Yifang a generous hug: “Don’t make sound like such a loser.”

“Who’s going to run, we’re going to win!”

Qi Yifang let go of her hand, he raised his hand to wipe his tears, broke into a smile and said with a firm gaze, “So are we!”

Bai Liu watched as Liu Jiayi returned with two boxes and a pair of skates.

Behind her, Qi Yifang dried his tears and turned to leave, but didn’t seem to get very far before running and crying.

As Liu Jiayi walked, she couldn’t help but run. She jumped into Bai Liu’s arms and buried her face, not wanting anyone to see the tear stains on her face.

“Bai Liu, are we really…… going to win?” She asked softly as she wrapped her arms around Bai Liu’s waist.

Bai Liu stroked her head, “It will be won.”

Liu Jiayi’s voice beca softer and softer: “And the price of winning, what is it?”

Bai Liu looked away from Qi Yifang’s back: “You don’t need to pay any price, because you have already paid .”

“The price of victory will be paid by alone.”

The number [0] below Liu Jiayi’s poster suddenly changes a little in the system’s popularity voting panel.

[League player Liu Jiayi gets one vote.]

[League player Liu Jiayi gains access to the ga pool].
