Cathedral, an alliance of the world's most powerful S-class villains, hosted by the world's number one villain, Celeste.
This transnational alliance of villains has been around for quite so ti.
Considering they're all so unique, and all so evil, all in one place.
Of course, all of this is also due to the fact that the people in this room have a minimum of common sense.
These aren't just S-class villains, these are people who have created a massive force against the state.
All of them have tons of other S-class villains under their command, and they need leadership to keep them in line. That's why they talk.
That's how the world's strongest S-class villains are gathered on a country-by-country basis, and they are led by the world's No. 1 ranked villain.
Such a Cathedral is in fact, despite its na, it hasn't done much until now.
They've never really gotten together and terrorized anyone, just gathered, talked, and split up.
And there's only one reason for that.
Because Celeste, the head of the council, has declared it an information-sharing eting'.
So up until this point, Cathedral has never really co to the forefront, hiding in the shadows with little activity.
This is also why, in the original story, they are not even ntioned until Part 4.
However, as the final chapter begins, things change.
At the beginning of the final chapter, things change: Celeste takes the initiative to organize a eting of the Cathedral, and the organization becos a full-fledged villainous organization.
As such, the S-class Villain Alliance Cathedral becos one of the final bosses in the original ga
So, it's all about Cathedral from here on out.'
And luckily, I was a mber of that Cathedral.
That ans that there are many opportunities to encounter Celeste.
And even though my murder of Wish Granter and angel robbery had gotten on Celeste's radar, it was a good thing. It's better for our relationship if she pays attention to than if she's indifferent.
I wonder how she'll react today.
With that thought, I headed to the eting.
I tore the letter open and was automatically teleported down a dark hallway.
I walked down it and opened the door at the end to a white cathedral.
The surrounding stained glass emitted a holy-looking light, and a large round table sat in the center of the room.
"Egostic, over here."
"You're here, Egostic."
And with that, I went straight to the gathering of those who had called , Katana, the Japanese villain and Li Xiaofeng, the Chinese villain.
Our East Asian Villain Alliance, and even Atlas, who couldn't make it this ti, are those I can call my faction within Cathedral.
I take a seat between Li Xiaofeng and Katana, feeling the other villains glance in my direction as I arrive.
There must be many villains who are very curious about . I know everything, I'm favored by the mighty Atlas, and I've brought an angel with this ti, and Celeste, who's always been cold and indifferent, seems to care about .
Of course, I haven't really communicated with others until now but now the importance of Cathedral is growing. There may be a need to communicate slowly.
By the way, Atlas didn't show up today. Now that he's called Ariel and said he's almost finished with those sea monsters, maybe he'll co next ti.
Just as I was thinking that, Celeste appeared from the depths.
".."
Her eyes closed, her long silver hair flowing, she walked toward , dressed in a white saint's habit.
With her dazzlingly beautiful face and graceful gait, she looked like a saint herself, descended from the heavens, but those here knew that she could change the map with the snap of a finger.
"I see you're all here."
She said, in a holy voice that echoed through the cathedral as she sat down at the head of the packed round table.
Then, she looked in my direction.
Turning her head in my direction, she spoke coldly to .
By the way, it looks like theres one person here who isnt a villain? Im sure this is a villain-only eting. Didnt this person say hes retiring from his job as a villain?
She started the eting by pointing at .
All eyes turned to .
As she smiled at , the corners of her mouth tilted upward, I smiled back.
"Haha. That's a bluff to reassure the opponent, of course. Isn't that the style of our villains, to say that and then stab the hero in the back? This is so realistic, I think I've fooled even Celeste."
I nodded, saying yes, of course and then snapped my fingers at the sa ti.
Bright holy light appeared behind .
At the sa ti, our angel, Halo, appeared from behind , spreading her large wings, with her arms wrapped around my neck.
Thus, being half-hugged by the angel behind , I smiled wickedly, looked Celeste in the eye, and said.
"And what a wonderful gift God has bestowed upon ."
"Of course I should use it on terror, haha."
With that, I snapped my fingers again and Halo disappeared again just as quickly as she had appeared.
".Huh."
"Hmm"
And just like that, the roundtable was in an uproar after my angel show.
Except for Celeste, this is the first ti I've shown Halo, so everyone is a little bewildered to see an angel for the first ti.
They're overwheld by the divinity of her skin.
And Celeste.
".."
Her eyes were closed and she looked peaceful, but I could tell she was tense
Of course, she didn't show it, so she was in the sa league as . That's what a true villain does.
"Okay, then. Let's get this eting started."
And with that, she turned to , and with that, she took control of the eting.
I sat quietly in thought, feeling the stares around .
In truth, my lines had been calculated since Halo's entrance earlier. I'd already planned out how I'd react if Celeste tried to argue with .
I had ordered Halo to appear in the sa way, including her posture. Otherwise, Halo's been learning to cook with Soobin lately, and I could not have have an angel in an apron appear here
She can move mountains and split the earth with a wave of her hand, and that's the number one reason she can't touch . That's the angel I got. If I'm as I say, I'm the Sun God's chosen one, then harming is likely to incur his wrath, and as a devout follower of the Sun God, she'd rather not touch while she can.
Anyway, that's how the eting went.
In the anti, I was thinking about how to woo Celeste.
As I thought about it, ti passed quickly, and the eting was over before I knew it.
"Egostic, we'll go first."
"Okay. Go ahead."
I saw off the other mbers of the Egostream and I was left standing alone at the round table in silence.
""
Celeste didn't say anything, but we were left alone, after everyone glanced at us and disappeared.
Finally, when it was just the two of us, Celeste showed her true colors and frowned at .
"What, why are you still here? I don't want to talk to you anymore, so go away."
She spoke to in such a stern manner but I smirked at her and approached Celeste.
"Haha, co on, don't be like that."
"Wait!"
Suddenly, uncharacteristically, Celeste panicked and reached out her hand towards , restraining .
-Ting.
I was suddenly blocked by an invisible wall.
No, what is it?
"What's wrong?"
"Don't co near , talk to there."
"No"
I blurted out in disbelief.
"What harm could I do by coming near you, when you could make disappear with a wave of your hand?"
"Never mind, just stay where you are"
With her red face squinting at , she muttered as she looked at with her golden eyes.
What the hell.
"Just try to kiss . This beast"
She muttered so softly that I couldn't hear her, having seen the future.
"I see, but I'll tell you anyway: I've found one more place where the Sun God's legacy is located."
"Where?"
When I said that, her mood suddenly turned serious.
As expected of a radiant follower of the Sun God, her eyes changed at the ntion of his na.
Unfazed by her mood, of course, I smiled and replied.
"Well, I can't tell you much about it, as it requires a certain trigger to access it, and even Celeste, a saint of the Sun God, didn't know about it."
"Do you want to die?"
So! I will guide you. Of course, if there are other people who are not followers of the Sun God, the trigger may not activate, so it will be just the two of us.
".."
She hesitated, still wide-eyed at my words.
Her eyes squeezed shut again, and she answered .
"Okay. When are we going?"
Oh yeah.
I got her.
