After hearing the system notifications, Li De’s previously calm face broke into a wide smile.
He hadn’t expected this battle to yield additional rewards—it was an unexpected but pleasant surprise.
Among these rewards, the automatic 10% optimization of the Small Fireball spell’s magic model pleased him the most. Though the 10% increase in casting speed wasn’t much, it further enhanced the spell.
This was incredibly satisfying to him.
As for gaining favor with the Knight God and receiving a 20% discount on purchases from the Temple of the Knight God, these rewards seed nice, but Li De didn’t know much about the Knight God.
Moreover, a temple was unlikely to have anything he needed, so these rewards were negligible.
Finally, there was the permanent increase of 10 mana points and 200 Character Experience Points. Mana was always valuable, so this reward was excellent. In comparison, the 200 experience points were sowhat diocre.
Once again, this demonstrated that Glory wasn’t a world where grinding monsters led to leveling up. Even after defeating a boss with the title of Blaspher—though injured—he only gained 200 Character Experience Points, the sa amount as a Mage Apprentice becoming a Formal Mage in the Crimson Mage Tower. This left him frustrated.
The difficulty gap between turning a Mage Apprentice into a Formal Mage and defeating a Level 14 boss with the title of Blaspher was astronomical.
Though this battle appeared effortless, with him completely dominating his opponent, it wasn’t as easy as it seed. If he hadn’t improved the Small Fireball spell beforehand, it would have been difficult to keep the Blaspher from escaping.
Without the dense firepower suppressing the Blaspher, a few high-level spells from the opponent could have thrown him into chaos.
Moreover, the Tier 4 defensive spell at the end was incredibly powerful. Even a Level 15 Grand Mage would need considerable effort to break it.
In short, this victory was entirely built upon the improvents made to the Small Fireball spell.
Without the Small Fireball spell, defeating this Blaspher would have co at a cost tens of tis more severe.
Instead of rely burning down dozens of houses, which was negligible for soone with his resources.
“Harrison, have the Security Squad and vampires clean up the battlefield together.
Also, gather all the humans in the square. I will announce new rules for Dawn City,
including the land distribution plan.”
Harrison respectfully placed his hand over his chest and bowed.
“Yes, Your Majesty, the Progenitor.”
Li De’s gaze darkened as he looked at Emi, who had been bound and was now half-dead. A hint of amusent flickered in his eyes.
Level 14. This guy was the biggest prize of the night.
“Additionally, bring all the mbers of the Wild Wolf Gang to the square. I will hold a public trial.”
“As you wish.”
After Harrison left, Li De’s face, illuminated by the blazing fires of surrounding houses, took on a contemplative expression.
Emi Beal
Title: Blaspher (Deals 30% damage to Priest)
Age: 67
Level: 14 (Near-death state, currently at Level 12)
Class: Shadow Priest
Introduction: A betrayer of the Knight God, a blaspher walking in shadows, and the Vice President of the Dark Pact.
Though Emi had been crushed by Li De’s improved Small Fireball spell, there was no doubt that this Shadow Priest, bearing the title of Blaspher, was extrely powerful.
A Level 14 figure was notable even in Green City, stronger than anyone Li De had encountered during this period.
If the battle had been against Emi at his peak, the outco would have been uncertain.
An idea struck him, and he turned his attention to his innate talent.
Vampire Progenitor: You are the progenitor of vampires, possessing powerful bloodlines that grant immunity to sunlight. Each month, you can create one Bloodline Descendant. All Bloodline Descendants and their offspring are fanatically loyal to you, and each descendant provides 1 Character Experience Point per month.
The Vampire Progenitor talent allowed him to create one Bloodline Descendant each month.
Li De’s gaze shifted to the unconscious Emi.
Two Sun-hours later,
The frightened crowd was gathered in the square of Dawn City.
The series of explosions and towering flas had greatly alard these people.
This was inside a vampire’s castle!
Many had already prepared to flee, their luggage already strapped to their backs.
Of course, most of these frightened individuals were from the second and third batches of humans brought in.
The first batch of residents from Eric Town, however, remained incredibly calm.
So even mocked those around them.
“Fools, these are Saintlight Vampires, not those evil vampires. If the Saintlight Vampires can’t be trusted, then there’s no one in this world who can be.”
“Hahaha, did you really bring your blankets? I don’t understand why these people are so stupid. Do they think they can escape under the watchful eyes of the Saintlight Vampires?”
“Don’t be so tense. The Saintlight Vampires won’t harm you. We’ve been living in this city for half a month already.”
The words of the Eric Town residents cald the newcors sowhat, but their faces remained tense, filled with deep suspicion and wariness as they eyed the vampires around them.
They hadn’t yet integrated into Dawn City, and the rampant spread of rumors by the Wild Wolf Gang had caused significant misunderstanding among the civilians who already distrusted the Saintlight Vampires.
“Are they really not going to hurt us? Everyone says this is a vampire conspiracy.”
“Sir from the Security Squad, what do these vampires want from us? Are they really going to kill us like they say?”
“It’s over. There are so many vampires here; we can’t escape. A few days ago, I saw a man from next door get arrested by the Security Squad.”
As the crowd grew, the cacophony of voices made the square noisy once again.
Hedgehog, as a mber of the Security Squad, angrily shouted at the murmuring crowd.
“Shut up, you fools! Those who were caught were thieves and robbers, scum who stole your Silver Pucks!
Stop talking about conspiracies. Those are criminals caught by the Security Squad, and they’re still locked up in the dungeon.”
Hedgehog’s expression turned fierce. He could tolerate being slandered, but slandering the Saintlight Vampires infuriated him.
“Listen up! Lord Kachar has returned.
He’s here to distribute land to us!!
Stop using your shallow, foolish perspectives to judge the great Lord Kachar or slander the Saintlight Vampires.
I’m telling you, as long as you follow the rules of Dawn City, no one will be hard. Everything you have will be protected by the Saintlight Vampires.”
Under Hedgehog’s loud rebuke, wearing a red armband, the crowd fell silent. His identity as part of the Security Squad commanded respect.
Though the noise diminished, the suspicion and fear in the crowd’s eyes remained unchanged.
Vampires were depicted as too evil in human legends. Even though these Saintlight Vampires weren’t the sa as the bloodthirsty killers of legend, their terrifying appearance made it hard for people to trust them.
Even though they received free food and shelter, any goodwill generated had been eroded by the rumors spreading over ti.
The last two batches of humans brought in, influenced by the Wild Wolf Gang’s rumors, still held very low favor toward the Saintlight Vampires.
In contrast, most of the original residents of Eric Town had beco staunch supporters of the Saintlight Vampires.
Those who joined the Security Squad and Logistics Team were the cream of this group.
While everyone was murmuring,
A figure clad in a blue mage robe, with a handso face that could make even the gods turn their heads, stood on the high platform in the center of the square.
The front rows of the crowd were the first to notice the elegant, noble figure. Many instinctively lowered their voices, fearing their rudeness might offend this aristocratic lord.
Gradually, more and more people noticed the difference and slowly stopped talking.
Thus, even before Li De spoke, the scene had miraculously quieted down.
Looking at the crowd, now more than double the initial number, a glimr of satisfaction flashed in Li De’s eyes.
These were all his assets.
Though many still harbored hostility and fear toward vampires due to the rumors, he believed that after today, every single person here would beco a loyal supporter of Li De “King of Sches” Kachar.
Everyone would work tirelessly for Dawn City.
Because the ultimate sche was about to begin.
