"Line up in order, don’t even think about cutting the queue. Everyone must register."

"After registration, you’ll receive free food, and everyone will be allocated a house."

"You should really feel lucky. In a few days, it’ll be ti to distribute land, and you’ve arrived just in ti."

"Hmph, we’ve been working hard for so many days, only to have you people benefit without lifting a finger."

"Ten acres! Each person gets ten acres of land. Damn it, you latecors are too lucky."

Amidst the grumbling complaints and conversations from the surrounding Security Squad mbers, Remon grew increasingly bewildered. What was this? Allocation of houses? And what did they an by distributing land?

With a heart full of questions, he cautiously approached one of the nearby Security Squad mbers, smiling obsequiously. "Master, could you explain what you ant earlier about allocating houses and land?"

Hedgehog looked at this tall man before him and felt a vague sense of familiarity. After examining him closely, however, he realized he didn’t recognize him at all, so he shook his head.

"I’m no master; I’m just a mber of the Security Squad. Like you, I arrived at Dawn City just a few days ago."

After a brief pause, he looked at Remon, who seed hesitant to speak, and smiled. "Don’t worry, you’re safe here.

The Saintlight Vampires aren’t evil vampires. They bear no malice towards us humans. On the contrary, you should consider yourselves fortunate to have been chosen by the Saintlight Vampires.

As for the allocation of houses and land, the registrar will explain everything clearly to you later."

Having said that, Hedgehog patted the still uneasy Remon on the shoulder, feeling a sense of nostalgia.

When he first arrived at Dawn City just a few days ago, he had been even more frightened than Remon. But he still rembered the gentle tone of Lord Kachar when speaking to him.

Despite hearing his coarse na and his sole skill being farming, the other party hadn’t mocked or ridiculed him but instead consoled him.

The feeling of being respected for the first ti was the most important motivation for him to suppress his inner fear and strive to join the Security Squad.

Praise the Goddess, praise Lord Kachar.

After just a few days of interacting with the Saintlight Vampires, Hedgehog had already made up his mind. If he really could get ten acres of land, not only would he stay in Dawn City where leaving wasn’t an option now, but even if he could leave, he would choose to live here.

Remon didn’t know what thoughts were going through the mind of this Security Squad mber who could chat cheerfully with vampires, but after hearing his words, his heart was filled with complex emotions.

Saintlight Vampires, could it be true that they don’t harm humans?!

If those vampires had said it, he would have definitely doubted them.

But a living human, soone who conversed with vampires without any fear or concern, personally told him. Even if there was doubt, it was greatly diminished.

Following the long line, Remon carefully observed the first batch of people registering ahead.

Their expressions were mostly consistent. Initially, there was fear and worry when facing the vampires’ questioning, but then their faces lit up with joy after receiving a small slip of paper.

Although the fear hadn’t completely disappeared, he could clearly sense that these people weren’t as afraid of the vampires in front of them anymore.

By the Goddess of Life, had these demons cast so evil spell on them?

But that shouldn’t be the case. Remon recalled what the Security Squad mbers had discussed—allocation of houses and land.

At this mont, his heart began to race uncontrollably. Could all of this be real?

The crowd behind watched as those who finished registering left with smiles to collect their food, and an inexplicable sense of anticipation arose. Could it be true, as the Security Squad mbers said, that great benefits awaited them?

One by one, the line slowly shortened. A large portion of the people had already registered and received their food.

In a mix of tension and anticipation, Remon finally approached the registrar.

This was a typical vampire, for so reason not transford to resemble a human like the surrounding vampires, but instead retained the form of a vampire, with two sharp fangs in its mouth and a pair of broken bat wings with nacing barbs on its back.

It looked almost identical to the demons from legends.

Its face was unnaturally pale, its blue eyes glowing eerily, exuding an elegant deanor, handso features, and every movent carried the courteous air of nobility.

Remon’s previously relaxed heart suddenly beca tense. This was a real vampire! Even though he had encountered them outside, facing one directly caused him imnse psychological pressure.

"Don’t be nervous. This is a command we received. All Saintlight Vampires must maintain their original state while working.

Rest assured, in Dawn City, you will be under our protection. We are not evil vampires; no one will harm you."

Hearing the vampire’s words, Remon’s tension eased slightly.

"Yes, Master."

The vampire before him smiled faintly, saying nothing more. In truth, they were initially baffled by this order themselves. Revealing their true vampire forms to humans wouldn’t that scare these timid creatures?

But the reality was contrary to their expectations. Humans were much braver than anticipated.

At first, they were terrified upon seeing vampires at work, but after a few days of contact, that fear dissipated, replaced by curiosity.

So bold individuals even secretly touched their wings, a scene that left them both amused and exasperated.

"Na?"

"Remon."

"Surna?"

"Sorry, Master, I only have a given na."

"That’s fine, no problem. There are many people like you in Dawn City. Age?"

After a ten-minute interrogation, Remon was drenched in sweat. Dozens of questions nearly probed into his first encounter with that girl—it was truly a persistent registrar.

"Very well, Mr. Remon, you haven’t lied. You have obtained a temporary residence permit for Dawn City. You can now reside in a house free of charge for three years.

Furthermore, you will receive ten acres of land allocated by Dawn City. This is your identity proof, and this is your land allocation certificate. Please keep them safe. If lost, you will find it difficult to move around in Dawn City."

"Mr. Remon, if you beco a formal resident of Dawn City in the future, your children can study knowledge in Dawn City’s schools and learn magic in the Mage Tower."

"Mr. Remon, welco to Dawn City. On behalf of the leader of the Saintlight Vampires, the Lord of Dawn City, Lord Kachar, I sincerely welco you."

The vampire responsible for registration stood up solemnly and addressed Remon gravely.

Detecting whether soone was lying was a simple matter. Almost every vampire responsible for registration mastered relevant spells. A Tier 2 Truth Spell could last nearly two Sun-hours.

Remon took the identity proof and land allocation certificate, his mind buzzing.

At this mont, he finally understood why those people were so happy and excited.

Not only were houses being allocated, but land was also genuinely being distributed—and ten acres at that!!

If the first two pieces of information thrilled him, the latter part deeply shocked him.

If he beca a formal resident of Dawn City, his children could study knowledge in Dawn City’s schools and learn magic in the Mage Tower!!

The surge of excitent overwheld him, leaving him unable to regain his composure for a long ti.

By the Goddess of Life, have I been blessed by you?

Praise the Goddess! Praise the Saintlight Vampires!!!!!
