Countless players who didn’t get beta access began clamoring for the test quota to be expanded, while those who had made it in demanded newbie tutorials and the removal of punishing features like the language barrier.
If changes weren’t made, they threatened to quit.
There were even organized boycotts calling for the developers to change the ga chanics.
For a while, the sheer tenacity and coordination of the player base shocked everyone.
But what truly frustrated everyone was Glory official’s indifference. The developers didn’t even issue a statent.
No matter how much the players rioted or flooded the forums, no one responded.
Eventually, the only thing posted on the official site was a brief announcent, and it was just as hardcore as the ga itself:
‘Glory is a hyper-realistic world. Please do not approach it using the logic of other gas.
Here, you can experience everything as it truly is.
If you do not wish to continue the ga experience, please contact us to delete your account. Your access will be redistributed to other players in need.’
This cold, unyielding statent left the angry players fuming, and thousands, in a fit of rage, really did delete their accounts.
But the mont those accounts were released, they were snatched up in seconds by players still scrambling to get in.
The ga remained completely unaffected.
So while one group raged about Glory’s tyrannical developers and unreasonable systems, another group heaped praise on the devs’ decisiveness. The official forums turned into a fla war battlefield.
Yet despite all this chaos, it was precisely the devs’ unwavering attitude that helped players recognize just how different this ga really was. And as they continued playing, they began to fall deeper and deeper in love with the world of Glory.
A regular ga can get old and boring, but a world with millions of years of rich history, full of boundless wonder, isn’t sothing the average player can resist.
Especially once players discovered that you could literally do anything in Glory, the community went absolutely wild.
Forum threads were being spamd nonstop:
“Anyone want to form a Glory Common Tongue study group? Let’s learn the language together!”
“This world’s deep history is insane. I just found an ancient Elven book in a church from millions of years ago, and it recorded a real epic story. This ga is next-level.”
“Holy crap, I found an erotic knight novel in-ga! Opened my eyes. Glory’s devs actually put smut in the ga!”
“Help! I got sold to a tavern and I’m being forced to… entertain guests today. What do I do?! Soone save !”
“I practice Wing Chun and Bajiquan in real life. Turns out I got accepted by a Level 10 Warrior as his disciple! Real-life martial arts actually work in Glory! Gotta go learn so warrior secrets now!”
When players first entered the ga, it was a total struggle, no shared language, no idea where to go, what to do, or how to even function.
But with ti, as they grew familiar with their starting locations, they began to blend into the world. Relying on their shalessness and fearlessness, they gradually beca a part of Glory.
This vast and magnificent world instantly captured their hearts.
Yet the most widely criticized issue remained, the language barrier.
It was simply too hardcore. Players were jumping up and down cursing. Even though most of them spawned in the Temple of Life, only so got a free casting of Universal Comprehension. So priests couldn’t even cast it, they didn’t know the spell!
This made many players absolutely furious.
But the devs didn’t care at all, no response.
So players stumbled around miserably for quite a while before barely picking up a few basic phrases. Many of them swore they hadn’t studied this hard since their college entrance exams.
The second most hated feature? The death penalty.
Each death resulted in losing 20% of total experience and ca with a 24-hour cooldown before you could log in again.
Even worse, if you died more than five tis in a single month, each additional death added a 72-hour lockout before you could return.
This chanic hit players right in their lifeline. Those who thought they could abuse infinite resurrection suddenly beca extrely cautious.
Naturally, this sparked unified outrage from the player base.
“20% total XP loss per death? That’s insane! Higher-level players could even lose a level after one death! Outrageous!”
“And the cooldown is ridiculous, having to wait an entire day to log back in?! Completely unreasonable!”
But Glory remained as firm as ever:
“Glory is an extrely realistic world. Excessive deaths will result in psychological and physical trauma. In order to preserve imrsion and avoid harm, players must be restricted from frequent resurrection.”
“We hope players will treasure their in-ga lives and avoid wasting them carelessly.”
Players hated the explanation. But Glory didn’t argue, they simply issued another statent: “If you don’t like it, delete your account.”
So players were left both seething with rage and hooked beyond saving.
The brutal difficulty of Glory made it hard to get into, but once you adjusted, it beca utterly addictive.
So despite all the protest banners and boycotts, almost no one actually quit.
On the contrary, as more and more players dove deeper into the ga, screenshots began flooding the forums.
The dazzling, massive world of Glory, its unbelievably imrsive environnts, the freedom of action, and even the unrestricted R-rated content.
Set the entire gaming community on fire.
Everyone had already sensed the ga was special during offline demos, but no one imagined it would be this powerful.
The player base basically went crazy.
But the 100,000 internal test slots were pitifully few, less than a drop in the ocean of interested gars.
Beta accounts beca black-market gold, with the rich willing to pay up to 100,000 yuan per account.
Li De stayed on Earth for two days. He even made a special trip to a local demo center to et up with the girl who had added him on WeChat, hoping to dig up more ga info.
But he didn’t get much out of her about Glory.
What he did get, though, was the intense gaze of a gorgeous young woman, utterly entranced by his handso and noble aura.
Especially his aristocratic bearing, it practically made her swoon. Even at 11 p.m., she still wanted to co to his place, just to “see if his boiled water tasted better.”
Naturally, Li De righteously refused.
“I’m just here to ask you about the ga, why are you trying to sleep with ?”
And with that, he turned and walked away, leaving the girl behind with a face full of disappointnt, watching his elegant figure fade into the distance.
In her heart, she sighed softly.
“He really is the god-tier man I chose… Even his back is so damn attractive.”
Although Glory had launched its beta, it still hadn’t released any substantial new information.
Disappointed, Li De returned to Dawn City.
By now, he’d been on Earth for two days.
It had already been a full week since he left Dawn City.
