Bao Yan looked at Yuan Xi’s companion, Qin Yue, “Birds of a feather really do flock together, don’t they?”
Qin Yue looked at Yuan Xi sympathetically. Clearly, Bao Yan had approached them to create trouble because of her.

Who knows if you’re really allergic or just faking it.”
Yuan Xi raised an eyebrow, “Are you suggesting I pretended to be allergic on purpose?”

Yuan Xi said, “Did Chu Yan ever ask about any allergy or dietary restrictions beforehand? Today is my hocoming banquet, and it was only upon my arrival that I found out this venue was full of roses, sothing Chu Yan never discussed with in advance.

Yuan Xi continued with a smile, “Isn’t there a signal in the village? You didn’t have ti to send a single ssage?”
Chu Yan’s face beca even more embarrassed, “I… I was afraid of disturbing you, wasn’t I?”
Bao Yan added, “What about the incident with the red carpet being removed and you not being able to walk on it? Your friend even threatened Yanyan, acting like you’re so treasure just because you’re pregnant. Just because you’re pregnant, does the whole world have to accommodate you? Is the child in your stomach really that precious?”
Chen Yuan’s temper flared up, “A threat? So what if I threatened her? Why did she need to remove the red carpet just before Xiao Xi was coming downstairs?”
Yu Xiaoxiao smiled from the side, “The child in Yuan Xi’s belly is indeed precious. After all, isn’t their village about to be demolished? An extra child could an an additional million in compensation—no wonder she cherishes the child so much.”
Chu Yan and the young ladies beside her all chuckled softly.
Bao Yan said with a hint of mockery, “Even if the child in her belly is precious, why can’t she walk without the red carpet? It seems Secretary Yuan has forgotten her forr status. All of us wealthy young ladies born into luxury have never required a red carpet to walk on.”
Yuan Xi looked at Bao Yan, “Miss Bo, Chu Yan, what shoe size do you wear? Your Hengfan Mall hasn’t closed yet, has it? I’ll have the staff at the RV store send over two pairs of new shoes right now. Why don’t you both try walking on the marble steps?”
Bao Yan sneered coldly, “We don’t wear RV shoes. Our shoes are all custom-fitted.”
Yuan Xi said, “It’s very easy to prove if the soles of my shoes are slippery. Simply walk in a pair of new leather-soled shoes, and you’ll know. I’m quite curious why Chu Yan would suddenly decide to remove the red carpet.”

Although Bao Yan deliberately lowered her voice when speaking to Chu Yan, Yuan Xi heard every single word loud and clear.
Upon seeing Bao Yan’s retreating figure, Qin Yue said with a smile, “The Bo Family’s fortunes are declining day by day, and yet she dares to act so arrogantly and disdain the poor. She does have quite the ntality.”
Yuan Xi looked curiously at Qin Yue: “The Bo Family’s fortunes declining, is that really true? Hengfan still has the Bo Family’s film and television base…”
Qin Yue said, “If the Bo Family were still as glorious as before, do you think they would continue the marriage alliance after discovering Chu Yan was a fake heiress?”
“Mrs. Bo and Bao Yan got defrauded of nearly 1.5 billion in Myanmar doing the jade business, causing a significant liquidity crunch for Fan Yan. Now, with the film and television industry in a winter season, the Bo Family might not be able to overco this difficulty.”
