After the full moon celebration for the baby,
Yuan Xi officially started working.
The Jiang City branch of Mi Chen Ga was located right next to the Shixi Financial Building.
Mi Chen Ga’s current liquid assets were primarily allocated for the expansion of their overseas branches.
Since they couldn’t yet afford to buy an entire building in the city center of A City, they opted to rent five floors.
Yuan Xi’s office was on the 36th floor; though not as spacious as the one in Jiang City, it did have a rest area. She figured that once her children grew a bit older, she could let them play there.
In the afternoon, Yuan Xi was in a video conference with Mi Chen Ga’s headquarters.
“The reaction to Destroying Stars has been great this past month; during the New Year’s period, many ga bloggers ntioned supporting the ga as influencers.”
“The stock price of ngyou has been rising these past few days because of Destroying Stars.”
Yuan Xi listened to the marketing director’s report and said, “Don’t worry about Destroying Stars for now, the reputation is great, but the download numbers have recently fallen out of the top ten. Right now, what’s most important is focusing on developing the overseas market…”
The eting ended as night fell.
Yuan Xi was tidying up the eting materials in her office when she heard a knock at the door, she looked up and said, “I’ll be done in a mont.”
Huo Shiyan smiled gently and said, “I thought that after having kids, you would go ho on ti. It’s already 7:30. Don’t you miss Lele and Anan?”
Yuan Xi said, “I do, incredibly so. I’m thinking about bringing Lele and Anan to the office tomorrow. After all, there’s also a rest area in the office.”

The newborn babies naturally couldn’t understand Yuan Xi’s words but made humming sounds as if they knew it was their mother.
During dinner, Huo Shiyan received a ssage and glanced at Yuan Xi before typing a reply.
Yuan Xi asked, “What’s up?”
“Xu Zhou is inviting to play basketball.”
“You play basketball?” Yuan Xi asked, “I don’t think I’ve ever seen you play.”
Huo Shiyan: “Yeah, I used to play quite often, but less in the past couple of years.”
Yuan Xi said, “You can go if you want.”
Huo Shiyan replied, “No, I’ll stay ho with you and the baby.”
After saying that, Huo Shiyan responded to the ssage, turning down the invitation.
At the basketball court by Yunsen Court Lake,
Xu Zhou received Huo Shiyan’s reply, “Shiyan says he’s staying to accompany Little Xi, so he won’t co for basketball.”
Wen Zhuo bounced the ball a couple of tis.
Xu Zhou said, “You’re not going to skip basketball for Fu Qin too, will you?”
Wen Zhuo chuckled and shot the basketball into the hoop, “No way.”
Xu Zhou said, “I didn’t expect you and Fu Qin to beco a couple.”
Wen Zhuo laughed at himself, “Indeed, even I didn’t expect to marry Fu Qin.”

After dinner, Yuan Xi spent so ti with the children. Once she saw they were asleep, she and Huo Shiyuan returned to their room.
It was still early, and Yuan Xi lay in bed reading ssages in the group chat.
Sui Sui Good Luck: “I found a job at Ye Hua Group’s translation departnt, responsible for Arabic translations.”
Mi Chen Ga Yuan Xi: “Congratulations!”
Yuanyuan Yuanyuan: “Ye Hua’s recruitnt process is quite tough, how did you get in? Did you pull so strings?”
Sui Sui Good Luck: “Where would I pull strings? Obviously, it’s because of my outstanding ability and impressive resu.”
Sui Sui Good Luck: “Now I’ll be able to stay in A City, @Mi Chen Ga Yuan Xi, you can’t forget your bestie now that you’ve got a husband and children. You have to make ti for your bestie on weekends too.”
Yuan Xi read the ssage and lightly chuckled, “Don’t worry, I won’t forget you.”
After putting down her phone, Yuan Xi started to deal with tomorrow’s work ahead of ti.
Tomorrow was Valentine’s Day, and she was hoping to get off work early to celebrate.
She didn’t know what Huo Shiyuan had planned for Valentine’s Day, but she didn’t want to be a dampener by working late.
Yuan Xi worked on official business until she fell asleep at midnight.
The next morning, when Yuan Xi woke up, Huo Shiyuan was already gone from her side.
She felt the bedside, but it had lost its warmth.
Yuan Xi saw the ssage on her phone; it was from Huo Shiyuan. He had said that there was a temporary issue with the Ruo Lake project in Jiang City, and he needed to go there personally. He might be very late coming back tonight.
After seeing the ssage, Yuan Xi placed her phone aside and started to wash up.
Just after Yuan Xi finished washing up, Liang Suisui called, “Now I’ve experienced the terrible traffic in A City first hand. It’s so congested. If I knew, I wouldn’t have driven.”
“What gift did Huo Shiyuan give you for Valentine’s Day? Co on, show , is it another diamond worth several hundred million?”
Yuan Xi said, “When I woke up, he had already gone on a business trip to Jiang City. He said that he might not be back until late today, and he hasn’t given any gifts.”

As soon as she entered the building today, the reception area was piled with flowers, and quite a few delivery guys had started bringing them in early in the morning.
Yuan Xi put on a mask, afraid of allergies.
She didn’t take off the mask until she was back in her office.
After finishing a eting, it was already noon and she received a call from Huo Shiyuan.
“Have you had lunch?”
Yuan Xi said, “I’m about to head back to Yunsen Court to eat.”
Huo Shiyuan said, “Hmm, you’d better head back and eat then.”
Yuan Xi: “What about you? Have you had lunch?”
Just after Yuan Xi asked, she heard a familiar woman’s voice in the background on Huo Shiyuan’s end.
It was Qian Yiren’s voice.
“Shiyan, this Ruo Lake Whisper restaurant does have a nice view.”
