Hikari canceled the domain after catching up with Ayase, and the world returned to the auction house. From the point of view of the people inside, not even a second had passed. And the auctioneer was still rambling about the rules. However, it was nearing the end of his long monologue.
"...With that being said, the first item will be presented!" As he perford a clap, a maid began wheeling in a small covered cage. "The first item being presented is a dium sized block of Alium! Native to the kingdom of Amalin, this pink tal has evaded thods of shaping it into a weapon for years!"
As he lifted the cloth covering the cage, people began to see the shining block of pink Alium. "The procurent of this tal is under strict view of Amalin’s queen. Now, the starting bid for this item is no less than 10 gold coins!"
The man scanned the crowd as they began throwing up signs. "I see 20 gold coins, 30, 50, 100! Do I see 130 gold coins!?...150 gold coins! Going once, going twice, sold for 150 gold coins!"
Hikari had no concept on the price of those ore since she had a ton of them on her person, so she couldn’t discern whether that was a good or bad price for the amount presented.
Ayase seed to notice her scrutinizing gaze and spoke up. "Usually a block of Alium that size would go for about the sa amount in the market, so the person who bid didn’t really win much. However, it is rare to see them appear around here. The price fluctuates depending on how often they are spotted and circulating in the market. In a sense, that could be considered a win. I’ve usually seen them go for between 150 to 250 gold for a block that size."
"I thought you didn’t often visit here?"
The one to answer was the junior witch who had been listening to their conversation. "I usually report everything that happens in this continent to her. Master is wrong though. Procurent of those has been a challenge recently, so 150 coins is a steal."
Hikari nodded. "I see." Then the elf looked towards the general who had also been silently observing. "Don’t think I don’t know your ga here, especially since you brought that rat."
Trent chuckled and rubbed his fingers through his light stubble on his chin. "You’ve already figured us out, but it’s not like we can really hide anything from you, can we? I’ve been carefully watching you, and I must say I’ve never seen anything like what just happened"
"Oh? What do you an?"
"The others might not have caught on if they weren’t paying close attention, but my eyes had been glued to you this whole ti."
"So, not only do you try to win my favor, now you are also invading my privacy?"
Trent laughed heartily and waved her off. "It was never my intention to do either of those things. You see, I was hoping you’d have rcy on this rat. You must be aligned with order, aren’t you?"
"Order alignnt? So you even know about the divinity then?"
Trent shrugged and shook his head. "I had no idea until I got the confirmation just now. Now it all makes sense."
"Well, even if what you say is true, why should I have rcy on this guy? You know what he did? He…"
"What he did? He taught that boy how to survive in a rough environnt. Do you think that boy would have lasted without the help of this rat? You think he’d have the ability to sneak around and pick the pockets of the locals without having his fingers cut off?"
"You realize that the rat is the one who set him up? I believe it was supposed to be a potion for his little sister, yet the rat hired their middleman to ruin the entire operation, making it appear as though Kai was the one at fault. Do you align yourself with thieves, General? If that’s the case, maybe I should tear down this entire place, starting at the roots...Don’t you think?"
The one to step up was Doenel who prostrated himself. "I’m sorry! This General is joking, surely! I’m the one to bla!"
General Trent grinned. "I do not align myself with thieves."
Before anyone could say anything else, the stage beca lively again. The man lifted another veil from a box, and this one sparked the crowd’s interest. There was a large amount of the spider silk inside, and the bids started imdiately.
However, Hikari had no need of buying over priced silk, so she bided her ti. When it ca down to it, she would find those spiders that produce it herself. Moreover, the bids exceeded even the price of the Alium.
Of course, an explanation was provided by the helpful Ayase. In this world, most people didn’t have the ans to go under water to hunt those spiders at the bottom of the sea, and those who did could not procure a significant amount of it by their loneso.
The person in the crowd who won the bid was soone Hikari recognized. It ended up being the tailor witch she’d t before coming here. The elf smiled upon seeing her, knowing about the chaos that would soon grace this venue.

And, it didn’t take long for that wish to be realized. After the bidding war for the silk, a small podium was rolled in, and the obstructing veil couldn’t hide the pointy shape for this object.
As soon as the auctioneer lifted it, the venue was set ablaze by gasps of awe. The witch hat still remained as conspicuous as ever. Those thorns that seed to wrap around the brim gave anyone who observed it an eerie feeling.
"I now present to you an item that was a late entry into this auction! It is sothing no doubt coveted by all mages and especially witches!"
