Hikari looked at the four angels floating there in maid attire. Each one of them was staring at their hands and looking back at their white wings in astonishnt. Each of them appeared almost like sisters with their short golden hair.

With the job done, the elven goddess recalled her own angel. She smiled towards the maids. "You’re freed from the control of that man."

One of the maids floated in front of the other three. "Thank you. I never thought I would be able to see this day again. I never knew it was even possible…"

The woman struggled to keep her composure, but she bore it. Instead, she knelt in the sky, and the others followed suit. The one at the forefront spoke once more. "May I ask the na of our savior?"

The elf smiled. "You can just call Hikari." She watched the eyes of the maids widen. "Have you heard this na?"

All of them shook their head, but their representative answered. "No, I’ve never heard of a goddess with such a na."

"You don’t have to be so guarded, nor do you have to call a goddess."

Again the one at the front shook her head. "No, calling you anything else would be disrespectful and blasphemous. I can practically feel your divinity radiating from here."

Hikari sighed but shrugged in the end. "What are your nas?"

"I’m called Etila, Goddess Hikari. Before...before we were captured we were angels of Alia."

"I’m Sarah, Goddess Hikari."

"I’m Marilyn, Goddess Hikari."

"I’m Ember, Goddess Hikari."

Hikari nodded. "It’s a pleasure to et you. Now that you’re freed, will you go back to Alia?"

Etila shook her head. "We can’t. We must go back and get the other angels from the demon realm."

"There’s more of you? How many are captives?"

"Counting the four of us, there were 54 of us down there." Etila looked awkwardly towards her companions. "Actually, there is sothing we would ask of you."

"What is it?"

"Can we beco your angels instead?"

"Wouldn’t that be disrespectful towards Alia?"

"No," Etila said, "we have long since been disgraced. It’s likely that she replaced her entire ranks of the ones who were captured."

"How did you get captured anyway?"

"It was over a thousand years ago when wars between gods and demons were more common. Cultists lood over the lands. We weren’t as strong as our big sisters. We ford the lower ranks of the angels, and in the end, we ended up like this."

Hikari placed a thoughtful hand on her chin. "Well… I suppose, I won’t delay you any longer. As for your request…I will agree to you becoming my angels."

The four maids brightened and smiled. "Thank you so much, My Goddess. Once we free our sisters from the demon plane, we will return to your side. Where is your domain?"

Hikari chuckled awkwardly. "About that, I have no idea."

"Huh?"

"Like I said, I have no clue, but when you co back, I am sure I can send you there."

When the angels disappeared, Hikari felt the feeling of four new contracts connecting to her mind. She wondered why they didn’t know of her existence. If she was really a goddess, wouldn’t it be normal? She felt that the more she knew, the more questions arose. Maybe it’s because I ca from the ga world?

Instead of lingering on those thoughts, Hikari flew towards the castle—away from the cheering crowd below, praising her as a Goddess. She hoped that her face had not been recognized from that high up.

When she arrived inside of the throne room, she found several guards who pointed their spears at her upon entry.

"Relax," the queen said as she walked in from the adjacent hallway, "this is our savior."

The mont the soldiers received the command, they prostrated and berated themselves, apologizing for offending a goddess. So even offered her their head. Just what kind of person do they think I am!?

Hikari quickly waved her hands. "It’s fine! It’s fine! Don’t act so serious. Treat the sa as before!"

The guard captain shook his head. "That’s impossible, Goddess! We mortals could never appear to be on the sa level as one such as you!"

Hikari pouted as she watched the queen laughing from the back. The goddess flew over towards the queen and pulled on her cheeks. "Ieffy, what’s the aning of this? Hmm? You think this is funny?"

Instead of giving a straight answer, the queen wrapped the goddess up in a hug. Her hands trailed back and grabbed the beautiful white wings. "So soft!"

Hikari tingled from the sensation. "You can’t just grab soone’s wings! This is sexual harassnt!"

"Okay, okay," Ieffy said as she released her grip, "my two little daughters have been waiting on you. They were worried."

The queen dismissed her guardsn and led Hikari towards her office. Inside the two princesses were already waiting for her along with a silly little dragon. Upon entry, Kurayami jumped up and imdiately gave her master a hug.

Hikari responded by patting the dragon’s head. "You know you don’t need to worry about ."

"I can’t help it, Master. Especially when I saw you use those magics. Why did you need to do that? I could have dealt with them."

"If you did that, the angels might have been caught up in it as well. I couldn’t stand to see them like that."

Kurayami sighed, but she nodded in understanding. "That’s very much like you. I’d expect no less from my master."

"What about on your end?"

Kurayami looked towards the couch where the two sisters sat. "They were a bit shaken up, but I reassured them that you’d be fine."

Hikari walked over to them and pat each of their heads. "I’m sorry I couldn’t show up sooner."

Esalda frowned and gripped her sister’s hand tighter. "No, it’s not your fault. It’s my fault, and now everyone is going to know who you are."

"I wouldn’t be so sure of that," Ieffy said, "my knights are sworn to secrecy. Well, if the rumor spreads, I don’t intend to punish them. I’m just glad you protected my daughters."

Alfa sat with puffy red eyes. She looked haggard. "I couldn’t even protect that priest…"

Hikari noticed that she felt oddly calm. Despite there being nurous deaths, she didn’t feel remorseful about it. The only regret was not showing up sooner, but to the people who died, she knew in her heart that they’d be traveling to their next lives.

"Everyone’s tired," Ieffy said, "how about we resu discussions tomorrow? For now, there is sothing I need to tell Miss Hikari alone." She looked towards the duke’s daughter. "Esalda, please take care of your sister."

Esalda nodded and helped Alfa stand. "Co on, let’s get so rest." As Alfa nodded along, Esalda ushered her out of the room.

Kurayami crossed her arms and stayed where she was. "If it’s sothing to do with the master, I will stay, too."

Hikari carefully patted the dragon’s head. "There’s no need. If you go to the room now, I will fulfill the promise we made before."

"Really, Master?"

"Yes, so be a good dragon."

The silly dragon bead and saluted. "Yes, Master!"

Once she left the room, the queen placed a special box on the table. "This insures a bit of privacy."

"What was so important that you needed to speak alone?"

"The truth is, I received an oracle. This is only the second ti it’s happened over the course of my life."

"An oracle?"

"Alia reached out to with a ssage for you. She said, ’once you arrive at the mountains, I will see you. Climb to the peak, and you shall enter my domain.’"

"She wants to speak to ? Why?"

"I have no idea. This is all she said. I admit, I am quite jealous I can’t et her myself."

"Have you ever seen her?"

Queen Ieffy sighed. "Only in dreams. It’s said that she hasn’t descended for a thousand years. That’s why all of the statues depict her strangely. No one living knows what she looks like, so we sculpt a beautiful image of her. I thought for sure she would descend this ti."

"It would have been easier if she did."

"Don’t be angry with her. I am sure there is a reason."

Hikari nodded before grabbing the handle of the door. "Is that all?"

"Can you also rember our promise from before?"

"Take the sisters, right? Yeah, I haven’t forgotten."

When Hikari got into the hall nurous thoughts flooded her mind, but she quickly rembered the promise to her dragon. Her cheeks heated as she found the door to her royal suite. It’s just a kiss, right?

She steeled herself and opened the door. The mont she entered, Kurayami stood there with her own reddened face.

Hikari walked over and wrapped her arms around the dragon. She gazed nervously into those gorgeous orange eyes. Her heartbeat steadily quickened, but her head moved closer and closer.

As both Hikari and the dragon closed their eyes, their lips t. Hikari felt the tenderness of the dragon’s lips on her own. Her body heated, and her heart wouldn’t stop thumping in her chest.

"There, I fulfilled the promise," Hikari said as she finally pulled away.

But before she could get too far, the dragon grabbed tighter around Hikari’s waist. Kurayami didn’t settle for that small kiss, and she went for another even deeper one.

This ti, Hikari felt her knees growing weaker as she submitted to the sensation. This was the first ti in either of her lives that she’d ever had such intimacy, but she relished in the feeling.
