Down below, fueled by leftover necromancer magic, the scattered bones started to move. They pulled themselves back together, quickly reforming into the skeleton sheep.

The forr Dragon looked down at its new, small body. It looked left, then right, and let out a wondering bleat. "How strange! I’ve beco a sheep skeleton!"

Then, it trotted off on its short legs, moving surprisingly fast. It ran right through the lines of shocked elf soldiers, straight up to Renjiro, and looked up at him.

"H-how, how did you do that, Elf King?" the sheep-dragon asked, its voice now high-pitched and bleating instead of deep and rumbling. "I was an Undead Dragon just now, strong and feared! Now... now I’m just a weak little sheep skeleton. This is... just sooo!"

Looking at the short skeleton sheep standing where a giant dragon used to be, Elaria, the three elf commanders, all the surrounding elves, and even the giant golems were frozen solid with shock.

Just monts ago, it was a scary, powerful Bone Dragon! Now... it was a skeleton sheep.

It was unbelievable!

Instantly, all the elves turned to look at Renjiro. Their eyes shone with incredible admiration and awe. Even the giant stone golems seed like they wanted to kneel down.

’Your Majesty! You are truly incredible!’

Sylphie, Unicorn, snorted and stomped a hoof, kicking the sheep skeleton playfully and sending it tumbling head over heels. "Well now, skeleton," Sylphie said, her voice sounding clear like a young girl’s laugh, "weren’t you acting so big and tough just a minute ago?"

The kick sent the sheep skeleton flying apart into a pile of bones again. But after a mont, the bones pulled themselves back together once more.

The Dragon scrambled back up, looking annoyed. "Y-you, don’t pick on ! I am a Dragon!"

Sylphie looked down her long nose at the little skeleton. "Wrong. You’re a sheep now. And I think I could beat you very easily now!"

The sheep-dragon bleated in what sounded like fear and quickly hopped back a few steps.

The Unicorn Leader was a holy creature, its divine magic just as deadly to the undead as the power of Light itself.

"Wait... Wait! I’m friends with your King!"

Renjiro scoffed. This guy had just tried to blast him point-blank with a dragon’s fire, and now he was claiming friendship? How could he be so shaless he doesn’t know... maybe his pride changed too?

Renjiro said lightly, "Aren’t you afraid I’ll kill you?"

Dragon shook its skeletal head. "Your Majesty, I respect you greatly. But under that old man’s control, we were enemies against our will. If you kill now, I won’t hold it against you. Dying by your hand is no sha for ."

The bone dragon seed to hold its head high. "I am not ashad of the na of dragons!"

Renjiro looked at it, a small smile playing on his lips. "If you weren’t the Necromancer’s servant, I might have actually let you go. What a pity."

Dragon was silent for a mont. The end was clearly near.

"Your Majesty... can you tell what power you just used?"

"The power of a god!"

"I see..." Dragon seed to understand. "I believes you must be the chosen guardian by your Goddess! Your Majesty, if this is truly my fated end, then I wish for it to be by your hand!"

Dragon lowered its head, preparing for death.

It wasn’t that it didn’t want to resist. It knew, with chilling certainty, that its mighty Eleventh-circle undead power was gone—or maybe sealed away. It couldn’t use any magic. It was now nothing more than a weak sheep skeleton.

Forget Renjiro, the Elf King wielding two divine artifacts; even one of the nature elves nearby could probably smash it to bits easily.

Since resisting ant death anyway, it was better to die by Renjiro’s hand. At least that way, when the story was told, the Dragon wouldn’t be recorded as a coward.

"As you wish!"

A ball of intense elven fla erupted in Renjiro’s palm. His own power was already at the early ninth rank, and boosted by the Elven Crown, the spell he was casting could match a ninth-circle magic.

Burning the now-helpless sheep skeleton to ash would be simple.

"Elf King, stop!!" A roar echoed from above.

Varn, who had been on the mountaintop, shot straight into the sky, hovering high above. At the sa ti, a shimring do of pale grey light surrounded him. This was the protective Domain of a Eleventh-circle powerhouse.

With his Domain active, Varn thought he had to be safe.

"Elf King! Let my servant go! I, Varn, the Eleventh-circle Necromancer, will owe you a great favor! From this mont on, I swear I will never appear before you again, and my followers will stay far away from elven lands!"

"I don’t like talking to people I have to look up at," Renjiro stated calmly.

"Impossible! I’m not coming down!" Varn shouted back. He knew he wasn’t as strong as dragon, especially now. He was old, practically with one foot in the grave, far weaker than in his pri. He was terrified that if he got too close, Renjiro would zap him into a sheep, just like his summon.

He just didn’t realize...

Even at 300 ters, he was well within the shocking 1000-ter range of Renjiro’s dagger.

"I said," Renjiro repeated, his voice carrying clearly, "I don’t like talking to people I have to crane my neck at!"

Renjiro casually lifted the Dagger, aid it at Varn high in the sky, and gave it a lazy swing through the air.

"So that’s how it feels!" the sheep skeleton mumbled below.

Following its words, Varn, still hovering far above, instantly transford into a fluffy, white sheep. He let out a terrified bleat and began to plumt.

"Baaaaaaaa!!!" Varn shrieked in pure panic

He couldn’t believe he’d been hit from so far away! Even his Eleventh-circle Domain hadn’t done a thing! And worse, now that he was a sheep, he felt all his power vanish completely. He couldn’t cast even the simplest undead cantrip.

The most terrifying part? He was falling! Fast!

"Aaaaah!!"

As the ground rushed up to et him, Varn was frozen in sheer terror. Falling from this height? He’d splatter instantly on impact. He wasn’t an undead skeleton like his summoned dragon, capable of pulling himself back together after being shattered into bones.

’What the hell!’ Varn wailed internally. ’Am I, Varn, really going to be the first Eleven-circle Necromancer in history to die... and that by nothing else but from falling and that too as a helpless sheep?! What a pathetic end for soone like !’
