A Circle 9 Mage clutched his magic staff, his voice shaking with disbelief. "They’re elves! But... how can there be so many?!"

"I heard the entire Forest only had about a thousand elves... no... even less than a thousand. But this... this is way more than that! There must be at least ten thousand of them!"

"And the scariest part? Every single one of them looks like is a warrior or mage!"

A heavy silence fell over the group.

"We should retreat."

"Retreat?!"

"If the elves realize we were after the unicorns, they’ll kill us without hesitation!"

But one of the rcenaries hesitated. "Hold on. If the elves and the Dark Wolves fight to the death, we might get a chance to capture a unicorn. Even one is enough to make us fucking filthy rich!"

Another rcenary nodded. "Exactly. Leaving now would be stupid."

The Circle 9 Mage made a swift decision. With a flick of his staff, he cast Mirror Image, a mid-Circle illusion spell that cloaked all the rcenaries in a shimring veil.

The spell, often called half pseudo-Invisibility, wasn’t as powerful as true invisibility magic, but it was enough to obscure them from sight as long as they stayed in their place.

.....

"Elves?!" The Dark Wolf Leader suddenly halted its assault on the barrier. It had caught their scent.

The Unicorn Leader and the remaining unicorns also seed to sense sothing. Their heads turned toward the valley’s entrance, their eyes filled with hope that they won’t die.

But the Dark Wolf Leader only sneered.

"Do you really think they’re here to save you? No... they’ve co to die. And when they do, my pack will feast well tonight with you on the side."

With a bone-chilling roar, rally of demon wolves swiftly regrouped, preparing for battle.

Then, the Dark Wolf Leader shifted its gaze toward the entrance of the valley—

And froze.

The first wave of elves appeared, erging from the trees like ghosts, one, then ten, then hundreds, until the valley entrance was flooded with them.

The Dark Wolf Leader’s expression twisted. For him sothing was wrong. There were too many. This wasn’t just a small rescue party, this was an army.

....

Few Minutes Ago:-

An explosion from the valley caught the attention of a group of huntresses that were in the group. Soon after, they heard the mournful cry of the Unicorn. The huntresses quickly reported this to Renjiro about what they had heard and seen.

After hearing the report from the huntress, "Have we finally found them?" Renjiro asked.

Without delay, Renjiro ordered the elf army to gather and led them swiftly toward the valley. Elaria, glowing with light, walked beside him.

As they reached the entrance of the valley, Elaria said, "Your Majesty, it’s the unicorns! I can feel their presence, they’re trapped inside the valley."

Renjiro replied, "Don’t rush. Order the all archers group to surround this valley!"

Following Renjiro’s command, a force of fifteen thousand archers spread out quickly. In no ti, their figures appeared on the hills around the valley, completely encircling it.

...

"What?! How can there be so many Elves?!"

"All of them are archers! Even the knight from the city would be wiped out if they faced them!"

"That’s for sure!"

"They say every Elf archer is an absolute shooter, never missing a single shot!"

Looking at the countless archers all around, the human rcenaries hidden by a mirror spell felt their scalps tingle with fear.

For many years or even decades Elves had almost never appeared in the human cities, and humans had no idea what they looked like except that they had pointy ears and a beautiful face. Now, they saw them.

Just as the rumours or book said, elves were beautiful. They had pointed ears, beautiful faces, and graceful bodies.

When they moved through the dense forest, they looked like fleeting shadows. But their numbers were so overwhelming that it filled the rcenaries with dread.

Elf archers were everywhere on the hills surrounding the valley. There was even a group of them less than ten ters away, so close that the rcenaries didn’t dare breathe. If they were spotted, they’d likely be turned into porcupines by a rain of arrows.

...

Renjiro and Elaria walked side by side into the valley. Behind them followed a large group of huntresses, all riding fierce magical beast black panthers and holding sharp, gleaming silver moon blades.

As they entered the valley, Renjiro imdiately noticed a shield glowing with holy energy. Inside that shield was a group of pure white color unicorns, holy, noble like auras, and beautiful.

They looked a bit like horses but were taller and far more stunning. Each unicorn had a silver horn about a foot long growing from its head.

According to elf records, a unicorn’s horn was the source of its magical power. If the horn was lost or cut, a unicorn’s power would drop by at least half or maybe even more than that, they shouldn’t even be called unicorn after that.

And in his original world, unicorns were just in fairy tails only, favourite things of everyone childhood.

Among the regular unicorns, Renjiro spotted one with wings. Its horn was like golden and shone with holy magic.

"As expected, there’s a Unicorn Leader in this group!" Renjiro said, his voice tinged with excitent.

Given his rank and status, ordinary unicorns weren’t weren’t his mount but his equal status like a Unicorn leader.

Sensing Renjiro’s gaze, the Unicorn Leader lifted its head and let out a proud, ringing call. Its eyes locked onto Renjiro, staring at the elf crown on his head.

One person and one beast faced each other, separated by a pack of Dark Wolves. Their eyes t!

In that mont, a strange and magical connection seed to form between Renjiro and the Unicorn Leader. After a long gaze, the Unicorn Leader slowly bowed its head toward Renjiro, and the other unicorns followed suit.

Renjiro understood, this was the Unicorn Leader showing its loyalty to him and asking for his help and happiness for his arrival. There was no need for taming them or overpowering them with strength for them to submit to him.
