I Became A System Chapter 74 - Secretary

"The young master's office is upstairs, on the third floor." The servant answered calmly.

Even though the maid is acting nonchalant, she was observing Ellena's stature without moving her pupils. Perhaps it's a common thing to not move your pupils to inspect since it's rude to others. However, with her kind of profession, I can only imagine how did she get to reach that feat where she can just use her peripheral vision.

After so seconds, Ellena nodded before thanking her.

It was fortunate for us too that there are no roaming guards her, or it would be hectic to handle them. I can only imagine the roof of the arrogance of these elite guards or what they call themselves. Since I haven't seen them act, I can at least try to imagine them from Ellena's description.

Monts later, before continuing to move to find Verxal's office or room, we stumbled on the third floor that seems to be more different than the interior of the second and ground floor.

Decoration of this floor shouts more of the achievent of this family. The walls are extrely decorated with wallpapers from talented artisans. From what I see, this is more than I expected for a county family. I could just think that they are purposely delaying their rank to be lowkey or sothing.

Hell, this can't be lowkey isn't it. Perhaps pride of their family that court rank can't hinder one's capability.

Never mind, it's not important anyway, just trying to point out that Lumbert and Murphey have the capabilities to be called most influential in count rank.

"Do you think everything will be smooth?" I broke the silence. It's been minutes since the silence overwheld our company.

'I don't know. From what others acted, perhaps my garnt is relaying so understatent stature. I can be humble at tis but it becos a hassle if I have to manage this endlessly.' She rolled her eyes.

Even though it is uncommon for her to act this way, I could at least understand her since it really is a hassle to handle the arrogance of others.

From the previous encounter of big heads people, slapping them in their faces is not enough. Maybe giving us so points would help at least, but alas, it's not always successful.

"I guess you are right. Perhaps you at least need to try to release so of your aurae. You can be confident at tis, it can help." I suggested her.

'I guess you are right.' She responded.

If only Ellena can be cruel at tis, but alas, she stays in that way. She always tries to weigh things before acting. She is cruel to scums but friendly to others… It won't hurt I guess if she at least tries to heighten her aura into a more confident manner which people would think twice before being arrogant towards her.

"It's your choice. But I can at least advise you that if your aura becos humble at all tis, you will encounter this type of situation at all tis." I added.

She just nodded before finally stopping at a room where a sign 'Verxal' is written.

Their fashion of having a room is sothing not common to . At least it's not bizarre. No judgnts.

*Knock*

Ellena waited for the door to open and after seconds of waiting, the door finally opened.

The one who appeared in front of us is a servant —secretary type of servant, I guess.

She raised her eyebrow before inspecting Ellena. As expected, Ellena's patient gown of this place lowers her aura.

"What do you want? How did you get her in the first place?" The secretary asked in an authoritative tone.

This again… How many tis do we have to et this type of people?

"I am here for Verxal. She called to co here since he got my things. And also we have so matters to talk to." Ellena answered nonchalantly.

The secretary didn't reply imdiately and continued to inspect Ellena. She might be feeling so wariness of Ellena's confidence. At least Ellena's relax tone increase her aura.

"You call the young master by his na? Do you know what kind of punishnt is given to those who disrespect him?"

However, it is not important for Ellena. Guess she needs to spill so beans to finish this insignificant conversation.

Ellena sighed before answering again. "You see, I am a visitor here. At least from the fight a few days ago in the cave, he helped by keeping safe so he got my thanks. And also, the reason I got these garnts is that I was treated in your clinic building before he got to know my identity. Since he has my things, I don't have any item to confirm my identity."

But after Ellena answered, she didn't dare to comprehend Ellena's words and just tried to shut the door. But Ellena stopped her to have her reply.

These people… they truly are helpless.

"What?" The secretary asked in an irritated expression.

"I think you forget what to say after I told you what happened. You can at least try to give so confirmation that you'll call Verxal." Ellena said.

But alas, this secretary is so kind of an idiot. "You can't fool , woman. You are not an uncommon type of obsessed person that has tried this. At least, I praise your originality in your story but I can't waste my ti anymore." She sneered.

Wow… this is really frustrating! I can't handle this anymore. You think Ellena is an obsessed person?! Ayt!

"Ellena. Can you at least try to fix this imdiately?" I said in a bored tone.

I'm not bored, I am frustrated that my tone got to release like a bored tone.

'No. I have a plan. I can at least buy so ti before Verxal hears . Maybe he is inside.' Ellena answered.

But Verxal isn't inside. He is outside his room at least… Okay! I get it now!

So I guess I need to play with Ellena too at this ti.

"Okay, I get you. But Verxal isn't inside. He is outside his room currently since I saw him earlier in the library. Let's wait here outside." I said.

A smirk erged from Ellena's lips, letting go of the door.

"Okay. If you think so. But if Verxal kind of find my presence in a late ti, I'll just report this to him."

The secretary snorted at Ellena's words. Maybe finding it funny to hear. "Do you think you can scare ? Scram! Before I report you. At least that's the least I can do young master's fan!"

Then she shut the door close.

Sighs…

"So I guess it has co to this," I remarked.

"Don't worry, I can feel Verxal coming."

"How?" I asked.

How can she sense Verxal coming if she doesn't have any ability to find… okay… that's kind of underhanded.

"I used my ability Trace to register him then try to sense him where he is since I got to know him in so ti."

So she thought that ahead?... I haven't thought that. Maybe she is good now at her abilities.

Monts later, footsteps can be heard in the hallway, and there at Ellena east, a figure appeared.

"Miss Ellena? What are you doing here outside? Why didn't you get in?"
