I Became A System Chapter 38 - Journey To The County

After settling the scene, they finally venture to the County Territory.

For their whole journey, they ordered out food for their lunch on the way. Since it is 3 hours of travel, they imdiately left the city to reach their destination before sunset.

Aaron, being amazed by his new form, was floating beside Ellena. He was still accustomizing himself to his body. Even though he can control it completely.

'Wow... for so knowledgeable like to be amazed like this, it is embarrassing. But this body is quite researchable. I want to know more about my body, how I can bless?'

He was thinking deeply while the carriage they ride on was on the way inside a pave route near a forest. Although it isn't that flat, the ride was still comfortable.

'Is the carriage seems to be shaky? I think it is, I just can't feel since I'm flying.'

Concerning the comfortability of the ride, he reached out to Ellena to tell her his thoughts.

"Is the ride seems to be shaky?"

It was a late question actually. Yesterday, he didn't notice it. Ellena right now seems to be accustod to the shaky movent of the carriage.

'Why do you ask so? I'm quite accustod to this.' Ellena answered.

"Yeah, I know, I can see. But this shaky movent can be reduced. Back in my world, we have this chanism that can absorb shaky movents, it is called spring."

'Wow, your world seems to be amazing.'

"Not really. Our world is limited by science, although it's an infinite body of knowledge, we can't uncover it as our world has different types of rules. There is also a taboo that limits us in uncovering human capabilities. Why am I even talking about this?"

'That's a nice world. What is science by the way?'

"It's a body of knowledge but I can't really explain it to you as you may not understand it. Let's just say that how plants grow is explained by science. We can have light in a container, it is also the help of science. Our world, everything in it is tackled by science. Can explain, and can't yet explain, it is covered by science."

'I really don't understand it.'

"Yeah, too. My little brain right here limits myself to think."

Ellena just chuckled. 'Don't worry about it. Maybe after we got there, you can tell more bout this 'spring'.'

"Yeah, sure."

With that short conversation, Ellena returned her gaze to the surroundings.

On the other hand, Diana and Isabella were just talking about their big sister, Ellena. Hearing it by Amber, she pouted to tease the girls.

"Why are you always talking about Ellena? Am I not aweso too?" She asked in a childish tone. Ellena, when she heard it, she just snorted as if keeping herself not to laugh.

"Hey! Are you that happy that they are only talking about you?!"

"Okay. Stop it. It's too funny. They are not that much talking about ."

Seems to disagree, Amber added. "Not much? They are like that since earlier!"

"You're jealous?"

"Yes!"

"Stupid!"

The girls just laugh at that funny scene initiated by Amber. On the way, they just talked about funny things that Amber does, forgetting about the negative things they experienced.

The road is starting to get smoother. The paved road appears to be more managed as they went out the route in around a forest.

​ Excitedly, Diana peeked his head outside the window of the carriage. She started to see a tall wall from afar. She pointed it and cheerfully announced it.

"Here we are! We are near at the County Lumbert Territory!" She exclaid.

Isabella, being curious, peeked as well, brushed her hair by the wind as soon as she peeks. She saw a wall from concretes from afar. It was enormously tall in greyscale of color.

Being her first ti, she approached Ellena to share her expressions.

"Big Sister, did you co here as well in the past?" She asked. But Ellena seems to be awkward by the question. She hesitantly answered it.

"I... really can't rember it well. I was just inside the carriage for the whole ti."

Diana, hearing it, made a depressed expression. She seems to rember sothing from their mory together with their previous family.

"Isabella..." Trying to look at Isabella with a grasping look, Isabella understood it imdiately.

"Sorry."

Despite those unwanted mories, Ellena just smiled sweetly, brushing off her thoughts.

"It's not that bad. It's just in the past. Let's enjoy the trip, shall we?"

Just after few minutes, they slowly approached the massive gate of the city.

The city they are getting in was the receiving city. More of a capital city in a domain of a noble. It was a fortress, guarded by trained n picked by the general soldier of the private army of the Head.

When they finally reached the gate, a guard opens up the way. Despite a long line for others to get in, as soon as they saw the insignia of the family, they vacate space for the carriage to get in.

Now that scene, Ellena and the other girls saw different types of people falling in line to get into the city.

The city has a receiving desk, where a toll or permission is needed to get in.

Tolls are just paynts to get in. Different from the other cities or towns, they ask for tolls despite a person having an identification. Since the city is a route for trading, they are required to give a toll.

But that toll is just for people in a group. aning, people in business from associations. They still think for an affordable price for the commoners which they are only asked a small toll if they are new to the city.

Now that the carriage has its way inside the city, buildings and plenty of people started to be seen.

Buildings of business, normal establishnts, houses, various of them are visible for Ellena.

Aaron, flying around was srized by the scene. It was his first ti seeing this well-organized city in this world. Albeit his ability to pass through walls is not available anymore, he felt it more convincing to be alive.

It was clearly can be explained as a place in the western dieval era.

Amused by gazing, he asks for consent in flying over the carriage. Ellena permitted him which he quickly flew out of the carriage.

"Wow... this isn't what I expected in this territory. This is more."

But it was even more than that. When they arrived at the mansion, all he could say is, "The world is really huge.." Opposing to his arrogant mindset of knowing everything back on Earth.
