We made a decision. We are going to join the Secret Magic Society, and Gero agreed to it as well.

"Even if this is a farewell, I won't forget about you, Big Sister Noelle."

The next day, Gero would move to another place since he was still young and needed appropriate education. And thus, it was ti to say goodbye to him.

"Yeah. Be sure to grow stronger. I'm sorry I spout nonsense about teaching you how to live."

Gero just chuckled after it. "Don't worry about it."

After that, Gero finally moved and now, we are on the way to an office.

Polan was apparently a manager and had a respected position in the secret society. Even though he wasn't that influential, he managed to make an exception by letting Ellena join society without going through the 'education'.

"Why would you go far doing this? Isn't it a bit unfair?"

However, Polan just smiled after the blunt words Ellena said.

Right now, we are inside Polan's office that just looks like normal offices. It was like Yskaen's in fact.

"I specialize in Soul Magic. I can clearly see your clear soul, Noelle."

I was speechless hearing it. Does that kind of magic really exist? I an, like, pure magic is still different from runes.

"Soul Magic?" Ellena asked.

Right! That's appropriate, Ellena!

"It's sothing that you'll learn in the future. I will send a personal instructor. Do you have any questions?" Polan asked as he was sitting on his swivel chair just behind the table in front of Ellena.

"I have a job. If I have to be instructed, how can I finish those?"

Our decision cos with a risk and a sacrifice. In exchange for the knowledge we'll get, we have to prolong the mission and the ti planned to return to Phlabian.

It is kind of problematic as ti managent will surely be hectic. But it is worth it since Ellena will learn more about rough control of magic.

Well, it's about being honest. Ellena ntioned to Polan that she still doesn't know the fundantals and the whole theory. And so that was where the instructor ca from.

"What is your job?" Polan asked.

"I am on the way to take Morning Flower and close a dungeon near the Humban City in Margravial Phobious Territory."

Polan scoffed after hearing what Ellena said.

"Don't worry about it. We have plenty of Morning Flower."

Ellena was speechless discovering it. Even I was surprised. Did they dosticate that kind of plant that requires a specific environnt? They are comndable! I feel like the Earth is living in shadows in this world!

It was as if modernity was a secret in this world. I wonder if there are more places like this.

Hm... And now that I think about it, I am intrigued by the idea of searching for a library and reading every book there.

But I kind of think that they might have invented a cara...

Well, never mind. Let's think about it another ti.

"Are you sure about that?"

"Don't be doubtful. I am willing to give one, but it will take a process. Harvesting that kind of plant is hard, you know."

"Yes. I already knew about it, and I'd already prepared for it." Ellena uttered those things with confidence as if she was the one who had studied those things. It was !

Polan snickered before speaking, "Don't worry. Just wait for your instructor so that when you go to the Central, you don't need to adjust that much. Do you have any important matters in the next 2 months?"

2 months... That was our decision for the ti we'll be staying here. Since Ellena still has a job in the outside world, we reduced the ti enough to learn about pure magic.

After a few talks with Polan, Ellena and I left his office and went back to the living quarters.

There were people who were curious about Ellena as we walked, but no one ever asked about who she was.

Well, perhaps they were just wary of Ellena's bizarre wardrobes. She covers her face, unlike them, who roam around without any cover.

A few monts later, we finally arrived in the living quarters and finally, a rest. Even though it had only been a few hours.

"What should we do now? I don't think I can use this ti to search for books since I am sure they have the technology for the security." I said but sohow, I feel like I overlooked a variable. I just can't rember what it is.

"It's impossible. They trust each other, so there will be no security."

That was it! After Ellena said it, I smiled as the variable I was missing was presented before .

"You are getting smarter, Ellena!"

I don't particularly need to complint her as she was already smart. But it just naturally went out of my mouth.

"..." Ellena was silent...

"Can you now remove your mask?" I asked.

There were no possible caras in the area, so I am sure that it is safe to remove them. It isn't even that needed since that mask is only for society, the outside world.

The purpose of the mask was to beco anonymous to the public.

"..."

Why is she silent? Is she sleeping? But I don't think so. She's still awake.

"Heeeey~"

I tried to call her out, but more seconds were wasted as she wasn't still answering. And thus, it made tempted to call her with force.

"Ellena!" I shouted and she jolted.

"Geez, Aaron. Can't you wait? I was thinking." she said in an irritated tone.

"You were not answering." I retorted.

"Sorry. But you don't need to hit in the head!"

"Ah! Right. Sorry." I said in an apologetic tone.

Ellena didn't reply and just continued on being in deep thoughts. She slowly removed her mask, but she was still thinking about sothing.

I am really curious... What's she talking about?

I am tempted to want to know and try to listen to her thoughts, but I feel like it's kind of overdone. I don't need to insist on listening to it, I could just wait if it's in her heart-!

'Aaron can have a physical body... But I don't have to tell him about it yet because if I ntion it to him, he'll die.'

And at that mont, hearing Ellena's heartful thoughts, I was stunned.
