I Became A System Chapter 19 - Before Dungeon Dive

The night had finally started and just after taking dinner, Ellena and Isabell headed to their room.

From what I noticed, Amber was indeed following Ellena to spy. She must be gathering information about Ellena.

I tried to asses Amber's attitude and personality, but if I assu that she is just acting, she may have a different attitude, but right now, we must mark a significant attitude of her that she can use.

Amber is a little bit childish, yet cunning person. She makes moves through sweet and calm and doesn't speak direct to the point to observe more about her target.

As usual, a stranger would act more familiar if they have sothing to get. It may contradict if she's just a sweet person, but it's different if it's fake.

Her room was just near them, so I tried to reach her room, attempting to pass through her walls but I failed. It was 5 ters away from my limit.

Nothing was unusual, as of the night. I just observed and the room was not infiltrated.

It's useless even if they try. They may be alard by Ellena's capabilities.

I also search for more information based on my mory. After getting out of the forest, there is a slim chance that they just acted that they were having difficulty fighting the mutated wolves.

My first reason is that coincidence is a hard matter to control since it affects the future of every area of the target. Second was, they may face far stronger monsters if they stay near a forest. It can also harm their plan, if there's ever a plan. And lasty, they haven't visited the town and they won't know that she was the Ellena they were finding since Ellena didn't use her family na.

They finally woke up and prepared for breakfast. Afterwards, Ellena prepared to go to the guild but was confused when she saw Isabella also preparing.

"Isabella? Why are you wearing adventuring garnts?" Ellena asked.

"I want to join you too."

"Eh? No... You can't join . You still haven't joined as a ranking mber."

However, Isabella just snickered. "I know that. That's why I am going to join the training. I already inquired yesterday afternoon."

Ellena released a sigh of relief before talking.

I was surprised that this kid wanted to beco a ranker too. Perhaps she was thinking of helping with earning money, so she decided to train. It's not like I don't want her either. Any help would be welcod.

I am not worried that she might get into an accident as the adventurers' guild is an organized organization. They don't send people just to die, they give them experience, little by little.

They finally finished preparing, then got out of the room. There, they et Amber, early in the morning, making Ellena make a groaning sound.

"Good morning. Are you that devastated to see ?"

"Yes. Thanks that you knew."

"That's harsh... Hi, Isabella." She shifted her attention to Isabella, who was just behind Ellena.

Isabella, on the other hand, just smiled at her sweetly.

Ellena inspected Amber's clothes then noticed that it was a light garnt and leather cloth. She concluded that there was sothing with her outfit.

"Where are you going?"

"Why? You're interested? "

"Nevermind."

I can't stop but to snort. This is funny. Ellena is playing a snob personality which I find not bad. Rather, it is adorable.

Ellena passes through Amber then heads downstair as they are heading to go out. But just after so distance away from the inn, Amber was following them. In a matter of seconds, Ellena halted then confronted her.

"Are you following us?" Ellena blurted out. She was squinting her eyes with an energyless expression.

Amber ca to a halt, raising her hands. As if to tease more about Ellena.

"You're going to the adventurers' guild, right? It's my destination too."

"Then don't bother us."

They continued to walk and arrived at the guild.

When Ellena was just about to enter, Selena greeted her with a wide smile. "Good morning, Ellena!"

Because of Selena's presence, her face beca light from gloom. She replied to Selena with the sa energy.

"Good morning!"

But that energy was just for a small amount of ti. Amber at the back cut her words.

"Hm? Ellena? You're nice to her, but with your not."

"Because she's my friend."

Selena was intruiged by the scene. She asked what was happening.

She noticed that there was a girl at Ellena's back apart from Isabella.

"Who's her?" She pointed to Amber.

"No one. Do-"

"I'm her cousin! Nice to et you!"

Selena inspected Amber's outfit. Amber's outfit, in particular, seems to be distinct from others. Most people have their outfit as cheap and common, but Amber's seed to be expensive leather as you can clearly see that it was thick.

Selena couldn't help but to get near Ellena's ear to whisper. "Were you perhaps from a wealthy family, Ellena?"

"Don't really mind her. She's crazy. She was recruiting to join their third-generation team but I declined her."

"Then was that the reason she was following you?"

"Who knows?" Ellena sighed before continuing to enter the guild.

But I left my attention on the two girls. Selena, and Amber. Selena was about to confront Amber.

Selena was crossing her arms on her chest like she was confident. While Amber was making an innocent look at Selena.

"H-how can I help you?"

"You! Why are you still following Ellena?" She blurted out with a voice almost yelling.

"Because I'm here cousin? And besides, I am also an adventurer. Do I need a reason to be here?"

So Amber was an adventurer... I haven't seen her be like that. I think my judging skills are getting weak as I get accustod to being a system.

"You are an adventurer?"

"Yes. But still a bronze."

"Hah! Still a bronze? Better keep up, bronze ranked adventurers here are not your typical low ranked mbers." Selena finally left Amber with a confused expression.

I took back my attention to Ellena, who was inquiring the receptionist.

This place is getting crowded. There are people who were checking the quest broad with various types of armor and weapons.

There are mages, priests, rangers, close-combatants, and so unique choices of weapons like chakram, boorang, etc.

This building is starting to be a dream to . I hope soday, I can help Ellena physically. If there's a chance in my lifeti to be human or any with physical body to assist her.

Ellena was just talking to the receptionist, then called a group of young people. They seed to be a group of males with a little mber of female.

6 males ca to the receptionist with 2 females accompanying them.

"So this was the filling mber? You look weak. Don't worry, we'll carry you."

That was an arrogant voice coming from an 18-year old looking boy whose nose was round. His hair is curly brown and his face has freckles. Also, his pupils are little that makes irritate to see them smug.

He was noticeablely wearing a ragged light armor which was covered with scrathces and markings. His armor looks to be expensive, yet downgraded because of its state.

"Arrogant? You're too early for that curled-head." Selena stepped forward.

"She is the one who took the ninth slot." Ellena's one brow lifted and looked at Selena after the receptionist announced.

"You are a participant too?"

"Yeah. Surprise!"

Ellena just let out a small snicker. And the arrogant bastard spoke again. Ugh... Can I pull his hair? He's really irritating .

'Calm down. I got this. '

"Hoh..."

Ellena faced them with confidence. "Please, senior, be gentle with us. Are you that ungentleman that attacks won with words? You won't get married if you keep acting like that."

"Hahaha!"

Everyone around him laughed, including the girls behind them. He was left helpless as his supposed to be comrades laughed at him too.

"Y-you! Rember that I won't save your ass if you get trapped."

"Likewise." Ellena bowed a little as if mocking, then faced Isabella.

The boy is obviously irritated. He thought that he could insult newcors, but he was wrong. He is just a stupid senior who thinks they are always right.

"Isabella, be careful with your training." She said her goodbye as Isabella waved at her before entering the backdoor to the training ground.

"Let's prepare, we are about to go to the dungeon." Selena remarked.

"Wait! Can I co too?" Amber cut in between them.

"But don't bother . You are supposed to be an adventurer, so observe your behavior." Ellena reminded.

There wasn't particularly a maximum number of participants in dungeon diving. There is only a minimum.

"Are you really okay with this?" Amber questioned.

"I realized that there's nothing I can do with you. Just keep on bothering and eventually you'll get bored."

"Hah... Haha. Don't take lightly! I will just register myself as a participant in this dungeon."

I hope Ellena will do great. This is her first ti, after all. And those groups of people, I will observe them. I can feel sothing unusual with them.. Especially that arrogant bastard.
