2 AM.

Most children are asleep, and if any guests were polite, they wouldn't visit at this hour.

Kim Eun-jeong lay on her bed, hugging a doll tightly as she slept.

In the quiet and defenseless mont, she didn't expect soone to open the window and enter.

Creak.

The window opened.

A group consisting of one man and two won, holding crosses, entered Eun-jeong's room.

They landed softly on the floor, but it was eerily silent, to the point where it felt unnatural.

This was undoubtedly one of their holy techniques.

The male priest, cautious, asked his companion,

"Do you think the Institution has noticed?"

"No. No matter how capable the Institution is, how could they detect the combination of three holy techniques that block sight, sound, and heat? You worry too much, Tern."

"The Institution is capable of that, which is why I'm asking. Priest Welin, what do you think, Priest Aili?"

"The surveillance here is light. For soone as important as Alice, her acquaintances should be heavily monitored... It seems the Institution is showing so consideration for once."

"Good. Let's move her now."

After receiving confirmation from Priests Aili and Welin that the intrusion was successful, Priest Tern nodded and headed toward the bed where Kim Eun-jeong was sleeping soundly.

Their plan was simple.

They intended to take control of the children favored by Alice to manipulate her, a tactic more befitting of third-rate villains.

They planned this after firing the Red Holy Spear, which required an enormous amount of divine power to attack Alice.

It was a mystery to everyone, not just Tern, why they hadn't tried such a simple thod before.

Wasn't the Church hostile toward Alice?

If so, why wasn't the Church more aggressive in its attacks?

Why was the Institution so lax in monitoring Alice?

Such questions swirled in their minds.

"Kidnapping a child feels a bit off. Can we really capture Alice this way?"

As Priest Aili spoke, Priest Tern responded.

"Though the devil Alice's is seen as a thorn in our side, the thought of using her acquaintances never crossed our minds because, as servants of God, we cannot be tainted by sin. We, however, are already tainted. Perhaps by carrying out this task, we can capture Alice." ŘÀΝÒBÊs̩

Thanks to the holy technique that concealed sound, no matter how much they talked, Eun-jeong wouldn't wake up.

Welin, who had been staring at Eun-jeong, asked.

"...What do you plan to do with her?"

When Welin asked, Tern replied as if it were obvious.

"We'll use her as bait to lure out Alice... That devil, and either kill her or destroy her power. If she refuses, I'm prepared to commit a great sin with my own hands."

Tern slowly reached out toward the sleeping Eun-jeong.

He wouldn't do anything violent.

Of course, his target was Alice, not tornting an innocent child.

At that mont, a thin, huge hand grabbed Tern's arm.
