[A week later.]

[Sparrow Public Library.]

History is a set of lies agreed upon by the higher ups.

Mikhail firmly believed the saying since his days on Earth, but that didn’t an history was all lies. There was always so truth in it.

Even though not much was shared with the general public other than propaganda, Mikhail still liked to read it.

Right now, he sat in the library reading through a book overviewing the history of humanity in the last five thousand years.

These five millennia could be divided into five eras, and the greatest power in these tis had been the Abraham Empire.

The Empire that birthed all three major Gods worshipped by humanity and even refined the class system humans used.

"This is such a stupid book." Kevin grumbled, sitting by his side. "Why doesn’t it have any pictures?"

"It doesn’t need any." Mikhail replied. "And stop studying, even if you didn’t pass the general exam they will still take you in."

Unlike Mikhail, Kevin had zero interest in history. He was only here to accompany him.

Kevin looked straight into his eyes and said. "I will lose aura if I don’t ace the exam."

"What are the nas of the five continents in this world?"

"....Do you like burgers?"

Mikhail let out a chuckle and shook his head before answering his own question.

"We live in the Sunrise Continent, then there is the Veronica Continent of elves, the Moonshade Continent of vampires, Dragon Valley of dragons and the Central Continent that is uninhabitable."

Kevin nodded half-heartedly while Mikhail focused back on his book.

"What happened to the Central Continent?" Kevin asked softly.

"There are too many rifts there." Mikhail replied. "Unless you are a mid level Awakened One, you won’t survive the place."

"So, people don’t live there?"

"Humans don’t." Mikhail replied. "Humans only live in the Sunrise and Veronica Continents."

Kevin paused and turned to look at him. "What about the others?"

Mikhail leaned back on his chair and rubbed his temples.

"Vampires and dragons killed all the humans in their continents." Mikhail replied. "We don’t consider them our mortal enemies for no reason."

Kevin remained silent, flipping through the pages aimlessly. "So, are elves any good?"

"They are better than the others." Mikhail responded. "But as long as the Inshel Kingdom exists we will be at war with them."

Kevin nodded his head and mumbled. "The God of War."

It was a well known fact that the royal family of Inshel were the descendants of the first wife of the God of War.

And it was also well known that the Elven King was the one who beheaded him in the war.

The only reason that the elves and humans had not achieved peace was the Inshel Kingdom.

"They are blood thirsty people." Kevin said, closing the book. "I heard they even kill any human who tries to befriend elves."

Mikhail chuckled and closed his book as well. "Don’t talk too much otherwise the church will get you."

He stood up, stretched his body and looked at the ti. It was close to eleven.

Mikhail turned towards Kevin. "I will be going to the office."

"I will see you later, right?" Kevin asked.

"Yeah." He replied. "Two o’clock sharp. I am eager to kill so beasts."

"Alright."

Mikhail packed his things and moved towards the 34th street.

While walking, his gaze shifted towards his hand that had been injured. It had healed now with a dark red marking appearing over it.

Because of the injury, he wasn’t able to grip his sword and Jasmine had also prohibited him from visiting the forest.

’I need to cover up the ti I lost.’ Mikhail thought, clenching his hand tightly.

---

It took him a few minutes before he arrived at the building. The bells chid when he walked inside.

Ronda greeted him with a smile. "Welco back."

"Good morning, Miss Ronda." He said with a smile, his head turning to look around. "Where are the other two?"

"They have gone for so work." She replied. "How is your day going?"

"Good." Mikhail replied, walking towards her. "Any juicy news?"

During his ti of rest Mikhail had spent a lot of ti with her and because of it he had gotten her to open up.

Ronda may have looked dignified but she had a really bad habit of poking her nose into the lives of nobles.

She really liked to gossip about them and Mikhail was more than happy to listen.

"Oh, I got so." She replied with twinkles in her eyes. "Do you know the golden prince of Aegon?"

"Ah, the next in line for the king’s position, right?" Mikhail replied, tilting his head. "Valkor, was it?"

Ronda bobbed her head. "You know there are rumours that he is in a relationship with his divorced teacher and he intends to marry her!"

Mikhail blinked, taking a second to process it. "But isn’t his marriage sothing that will be decided by the church?"

From the day the kingdom was ford by King Julius Aegon I, the church had full control over the marriages of the king.

It was a pact made by the first king to make sure the church always supported them.

"That’s the problem." Ronda said, not that bothered. "It seems like he is going to go against the church."

"That’s absurd." Mikhail replied, shaking his head. "He won’t risk a war for a woman."

She gave him a knowing smile that only fuelled his anxiety more.

"....Right?"

Before she could reply, the door of Daniel’s office opened up.

He walked a step forward, looked at them both and said. "Co inside, Mikhail."

"Yes, sir." Mikhail replied, moving towards the office.

During his ti of rest there had been two more cases but Daniel had solved them in just a day.

It cented his belief that he was soone extraordinary.

’Too bad the case of the prince ruined his career.’

Though Mikhail couldn’t complain as it had also ruined the prince as well.

Daniel sat down on his chair and looked up at him. "There is so information that I need you to check."

He passed a file towards Mikhail which he took with a doubtful look on his face.

He opened it and skimd through it. The more he read the more his brows knit together.

"Are they....?"

"High mbers of both royals and church from different kingdoms." He said, his voice deep. "These are all the people that were killed last year."

Mikhail slowly sat down, examining the nas. "And it was done by...?"

"A secret organisation." He replied. "Many new organisations have also been involved in this but most of it was done by an old one."

Mikhail leaned back on his chair and asked. "What do you need to know?"

"Can you think of the motive behind their attacks?"

Mikhail frowned, shaking his head. "I don’t have enough knowledge about it."

Daniel nodded his head. He took out a cigarette from his drawer and lit it.

"Tell , Mikhail." He said. "How much do you know about our class system?"
