After all, if he wasn’t extrely eager to continue living, he wouldn’t have beco a Witch Demon.

He held a sliver of hope in his heart.

Of course, Garrison didn’t intend to forcibly resist.

Previously, he couldn’t gain any advantage from the Vampire in front of him; now, having just resurrected and extrely weak, he was even less capable of opposing him.

At present, Garrison forced his emotions to calm down.

"How should I address you?"

Lis looked down at Garrison, unsure why he was asking.

"Edward."

Lis said casually, then a Blood Blade appeared in his hand.

He had no intention of continuing to waste words with the Legendary Witch Demon before him.

Though he wasn’t an antagonist, he didn’t want to talk excessively.

Noticing the attack in Lis’s hand, Garrison’s expression changed, and he hurriedly said:

"Please, wait a mont, Lord Edward!"

"If I am willing to pledge allegiance to you, would you be willing to spare this ti?"

"Oh?"

Lis, with the Blood Blade floating in his hand, looked at Garrison in front of him with so curiosity.

Just when Garrison thought he had persuaded Edward, he saw the Blood Blade in his hand suddenly flicker.

Several gusts of wind swept by, and the Blood Blade sliced through his soul body, severing several parts from it.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhh!"

The intense pain of being segnted stimulated Garrison’s spirit, almost driving him insane.

At the sa ti, his soul body faded considerably.

It seed as if a gust of wind could blow him away.

After significantly weakening Garrison’s strength, Lis looked at Garrison and said:

"Answer my question honestly."

"Why do you use formal titles with ?"

It was a peculiar question for Lis.

For so reason, Garrison’s attitude had drastically changed.

Whereas before, he seed to prefer death over compromise.

Now, Garrison’s soul body had faded to the extre, his visage nearly indistinguishable.

Garrison spoke weakly:

"It’s because... I’ve figured it out."

"Figured it out?"

Lis was sowhat puzzled.

"What did you figure out?"

"Initially, upon seeing your strength, I should have realized."

With a hint of regret in his words, Garrison said:

"But, with rely Golden Rank strength, how could you enter my Domain, wielding such power?"

"Yet if you are the one behind Veronica, then everything makes sense."

"If you are that great existence, defeating is not surprising."

Hearing this, Lis fell silent.

He hadn’t expected Garrison’s imagination to be so vivid.

That he mistook him as the potential Abyss Demon God behind Veronica?

Such a rich imagination!

Or perhaps, had he beco so muddled by defeat?

Unable to accept such an outco, he grasped for excuses for his failure?

Lis felt a bit contemplative.

However, his expression remained unchanged as he spoke to Garrison:

"Tell , what did the one from the 88th layer want you to do?"

He neither confird nor denied Garrison’s speculation.

For Lis, it was a perfect misunderstanding to probe Garrison.

Lis was indeed quite interested in Demogorgon’s plans.

So long as he could avoid danger, he wouldn’t mind learning more.

"Indeed..."

Looking at Lis, who showed no denial, Garrison revealed a bitter smile.

The Vampire claiming to be Edward even knew his patron was the Lord of the 88th Abyss Plane, Demon Prince Demogorgon.

This ant, indeed, he was involved in a conflict between Demon Gods.

How ridiculous!

He had planned to defeat Dominic to seize the 106th Abyss Plane, yet in the battle between Demon Gods, he was so fragile.

A re Golden Rank avatar dispatched, defeated him.

No wait!

Or perhaps he had garnered enough attention for the Demon God to personally intervene?

Garrison felt bitter inside.

This kind of attention, he truly didn’t want!

"I don’t know."

Garrison weakly replied.

"Don’t know?"

Lis frowned.

"In front of you, I am not deceiving you."

Noticing the displeasure of the "Demon God’s" avatar before him, Garrison hurriedly continued:

"After receiving the bestowed strength, I only received one command."

"That was to occupy as many Abyss Planes as possible."

"For every Abyss Plane seized, one would gain greater power from him."

"Hence, I launched the offensive against the 106th layer."

So that’s the case?

Lis looked at Garrison, his thoughts aligning with his expectations.

"How many like you are there?"

"I don’t know."

Garrison hesitated, but ultimately dared not lie before a Demon God, honestly confessing:

"I haven’t seen others, but I suspect there are quite a few."

Lis looked at Garrison, feeling a sense of regret.

Indeed, if soone like Garrison could know Demogorgon’s plan, he would suspect it was Demogorgon’s trap.

"So, what else can you tell ?"

"I... I..."

Garrison felt lost.

What could he possibly trade with this apparent Demon God?

It was evident this one seed solely interested in information related to Demogorgon.

Yet, he truly knew nothing of it!

Originally he wanted to complete Demogorgon’s task, but never imagined he’d provoke such a terrifying existence.

"I... I can pledge allegiance to you, sign a contract!"

"I have accumulated treasures, among them possibly sothing of interest to you!"

"I could even go to the 88th layer for you, to gather more intelligence..."

"I only beg for my life!"

"I..."

Lis ceased listening, gripping firmly with his right hand.

The space around Garrison compressed instantly, and his already extrely weak soul body vanished.

Under Lis’s attack, the Ring and black box within the soul body shattered as well.

This ti, Garrison didn’t even have the chance to cry out; he vanished completely.

Following Garrison’s death, Lis closed his eyes.

As his spiritual power spread out, within the Spiritual Realm’s vision, Lis discovered the previous blood-colored thread was gone.

This ant Garrison was truly dead this ti.

No longer able to stage a false resurrection!

Facing a Legendary Witch Demon, Lis naturally had to guard against the opponent possessing a Soul Box, a common lifesaving tool among Witch Demons.

Previously, Lis spent nearly all Power of Blood, even burning blood and flesh to form a Blood Chain, to locate Garrison’s soul.

Locked by that blood-colored chain, as long as the soul hadn’t disappeared, it would guide Lis to its location.

This was extrely targeted against Witch Demons capable of resurrecting through Soul Boxes.

Lis had earlier developed this targeting arcane through his own Wisdom and the power of the [Blood] Domain while seeking Garrison.

This was the battle preparation of Arcanists.

The outco was as Lis had planned.

Indeed, it went overly smoothly.

Lis even wondered if Demogorgon was secretly ddling again.

But he shook his head slightly, not thinking too much.

In the Abyss, he was quite cautious of Demogorgon.

Yet, he was perhaps overly sensitive.

Demogorgon left such a strong impression previously, forcing him to be extrely careful.

If his speculation was correct, this was not Demogorgon’s plan, but another lurking hand providing the push.

What follows then...

BOOM!!!

A terrifying thunder sounded from above.

Lis looked up, seeing ominous black clouds above beginning to dissipate.

Deep crimson clouds flickering within, like sinister lightning serpents.

With Garrison’s death, the 107th layer that lost its Abyss Lord began to change.

Simultaneously, a familiar feeling welled up in Lis’s heart.
