As soon as the topic was ntioned, both Carl and Ruka were stunned for a mont.

Ruka asked, "Why suddenly bring this up?"

"Last ti Zong Fang ntioned it, but it was very ambiguous." Seeing the shocked expressions on their faces, she whispered, "Is it not okay to ask?"

Although there was no explicit rule against discussing the War of the Wings, the war was so unusual, a common pain shared by all Beastn, that both survivors and bystanders respected its solemnity. Moreover, the Star Network had filters for keywords related to the War of the Wings, erasing all related information; this was a strategy by the higher-ups hoping everyone would forget and move forward.

Ruka carefully chose his words, not wanting to frighten her with that history. After a while, he said, "The War of the Wings was a division of power. Before the War of the Wings, the United Council of the Interstellar Federation had the authority to manage all Beastn. However, after the war, a second major power erged, the Freedom Alliance."

"What about the Wandering Alliance?"

Carl took over the conversation, "What Wandering Alliance? More like a Losers' Alliance. It initially was just a remnant of the defeated Rebel Army from the War of the Wings, which grew stronger over ti by absorbing frenzied Beastn or those expelled from the Federation for wrongdoing."

"Rebel Army?"

Ruka explained to her, "These were male orcs who defected from the Federation back then, essentially orchestrating the War of the Wings themselves."

Having gathered detailed information, Qiao Suisui finally had a comprehensive understanding of the War of the Wings.

Today's Wandering Alliance, forrly known as the Rebel Army, was an exceptional Elite Team. Each mber specialized in different skills, but together they were formidable because they covered nearly all combat needs—offensive, defensive, support, healing, and more.

To develop this team, the Federation had invested significant ti, money, manpower, resources, and top-tier assets. For a long ti, this team was the ace of the Federation.

What followed was a tale similar to that of the Farr and the Snake, where the Rebel Army broke away and launched vicious attacks on the Federation.

"They even used despicable tactics like airdropping inducers, causing widespread frenzy among the Beastn, plunging everyone into a self-destructive killing spree."

The War of the Wings was essentially a 'cleanup operation' aid at suppressing the frenzied Beastn and maintaining Federal stability, targeting those who could no longer revert to normal.

As Carl recalled those days, he survived the mass frenzy and slaughter. The most frenzied Beastn lost their senses, forcing him to kill his own brother and friends because if he hadn't, they would have killed him.

At this point, Qiao Suisui finally understood why everyone who ntioned the 'War of the Wings' hesitated to discuss it further—they all had endured such brutal incidents. They were a generation that survived by being stained with the blood of family and friends.

Looking at Ruka, she wondered if he had also personally ended the lives of his own people... but she didn't voice the question, as it was too cruel. Ruka, understanding what she wanted to ask from her gaze, said:

"I buried 1831 brothers."

These were the n he trained with every day, shared als and accommodations with, and fought side by side. They were also the ones he joked around with, the ones he spent the most ti with, the ones he knew the best, the ones who could watch his back.

"I watched them train hard to earn that dal they wore with pride. Yet these sa n turned against their comrades and slaughtered innocent people, destroying the very places they swore to protect.... So, I ended it for them myself."

His tone was calm, his expression stoic, only the depths of his eyes hinted at the pain this past had caused him. This was also why he developed sexual dysfunction after returning from the War of the Wings. Because back then, Ruka had beco numb to even the concept of living, let alone any interest in sexuality.

Qiao Suisui was speechless, holding his hand to offer so comfort. Ruka squeezed her hand back and said, "It's in the past now."

She nodded, her mind filled with questions: Why would an elite force, trained at great expense, rebel? What kind of hatred could drive them to commit such cruelty in a place they once swore allegiance and called ho?

"Has the Rebel Army not been dealt with by the Federation yet?"

Carl chuckled, "They can't beat them."

Ruka sternly said, "The Federation has never given up on encircling and capturing the Rebel Army. Up to today, there are only 13 mbers left in the Rebel Army, of whom 5 have retired and disappeared without a trace. The remaining 8 had disagreents, so were absorbed by the Freedom Alliance, which rose in the chaos of that ti, and so retreated to the Ruins Eye to establish what is now known as the Wandering Alliance."

Qiao Suisui nodded in contemplation, but Zong Fang's words surfaced in her mind—

"A ridiculous farce that made fourteen billion Beastn play along with him."

Who exactly is this 'him'?

Zong Fang seed to know more of the inside story.

Ruka did not want her to worry about such cruel matters, so he stood up with her, put her coat on, and led her out.

Seeing this, Carl frowned and blurted out, "Where are you taking her?" After he asked, he realized that he had no position or right to ask such a question.

Ruka glanced at him expressionlessly and then continued walking out with Qiao Suisui's hand in his, completely ignoring Carl.

She turned back to see Carl's sowhat twisted expression, then turned to Ruka, asking, "Where are we going?"

"To a pregnancy test."

...

They were still at the Royal Hospital, where the director personally received them. What was different this ti was that, apart from keeping the necessary dical staff, the entire hospital had been cleared out and had undergone rigorous confidentiality training. There was no longer a need to worry about Qiao Suisui's private information being leaked.

anwhile, in the ergency room of the Royal Hospital, a patient was being desperately resuscitated. As the monitor beeped, the doctors surrounding the bed all stopped their movents.

"Your Highness, we've done our best, please accept our condolences."

Leberli, covered in blood, was different from his usual relaxed and debonair deanor—there was no smile on his face, he had lost much weight, but he looked even more tough and sturdy. He calmly nodded at the announcent of the unsuccessful resuscitation, gave so instructions, and then left.

The person was a spy he had placed by Neo's side. Their identity was exposed, and after being tortured until barely alive, they were dumped at the doorstep of his camp.

A bright, provocative display.

Leberli sneered, this signaled that Neo was finally losing patience.

Standing in the hallway, he watched as they pushed away the individual covered with the Auslan Empire's flag to take care of the aftereffects, his thoughts suddenly drifting far away.

He hadn't seen Suisui in 29 days and had restrained himself from thinking about her. When his longing reached its peak, he almost tapped open her account to call her but ultimately held back, as this path was uncertain even to him, and he could not risk bringing her any danger.

But at this mont, watching the person being pushed away, he suddenly yearned to hear her voice. He wondered, if he were to lose and die in the end, would she grieve for him?

Leberli once again suppressed the surging emotions and walked towards the hospital's entrance, but stopped abruptly upon hearing a voice he had longed for.
