Chapter 167: Chapter 167 Leopard Ying Ca Chapter 167: Chapter 167 Leopard Ying Ca After dinner, Qiao Suisui eagerly reached out to Li Yi but was told he hadn’t been seen at school for a long ti.

She beca sowhat anxious and rushed to find Carl, wanting him to take her to school, but when she entered the room, Carl was nowhere to be seen.

His coat and light computer were there, but there was no sign of him. Just as she was about to leave, a black hole suddenly appeared on the wall inside the room.

Carl erged from it, holding sothing in his hand. Seeing her in his room, he paused, then averted his eyes indifferently, without saying a word.

Qiao Suisui stepped forward and asked him, “Where have you been?”

“On a blind date,” he replied.

“?”

Qiao Suisui stared at him with round eyes, suspecting he had made so sort of mistake.

“What, you can go looking for stray n, but I can’t go on a blind date?”

She was at a loss for words and pursed her lips, saying, “I didn’t know it was that kind of place.”

Carl scowled, glanced at her sidelong, and said sarcastically, “Great excuse. Next ti I wake up in so other female’s bed, I’ll just say I didn’t know where I was.”

“That would be perfect; you wouldn’t need to go on any blind dates then,” she shot back.

“You!”

Carl almost choked on her words, grinding his teeth in anger.

“So you don’t care at all, do you? Even if I slept with another female tomorrow, you wouldn’t feel anything, right?”

As soon as he finished speaking, Carl realized he had gone too far and wanted to slap himself.

Sure enough, he saw that Qiao Suisui’s expression had cooled.

She was now looking down at the tips of her shoes, saying in a noncommittal tone, “If you regret it and feel uncomfortable about it, I won’t force you. After all, with your qualifications, you could find soone better.”

Carl pinched her mouth with his hand, turning it into a duckbill and silenced her manually.

“How dare you die and leave an inheritance behind? How does that work for you?” he asked.

He released her and took out the items he had been carrying until now, showing her one by one: “This is the property deed for Longwan Villa. This is the password card for our ho. This lists all the assets in my na. This is a confirmation letter for the asset linkage, which requires your signature.”

Qiao Suisui, holding a stack of docunts, was sowhat slow to respond.

“What does this an?” she asked.

Carl, with one hand on his hip and pinching her cheek with the other, leaned in and said, “It ans I want to build a ho with you. So, do you agree or not?”

Qiao Suisui sniffled, feeling a mix of emotions. At the mont, her large eyes blinked continuously as she stared at him, thinking that this man was sowhat handso.

Carl was still scowling, but he gazed at her face for a long ti. They looked at each other and couldn’t help but laugh. After laughing, he rembered he was still angry, but by then his features had softened, and he couldn’t muster a frown anymore.

Resigned, Carl sighed, “My whole life is over. You play like a toy, and I can’t stay angry for more than 2 minutes.”

Since her hands were occupied, Qiao Suisui could only nuzzle his chest gently with her head, whispering, “You’re so magnanimous.”

Carl gave her a side glance and raised an eyebrow, “Please take so care in managing from now on. I am, after all, a man. Aren’t you afraid I might stop coming ho one day?”

“Then I’ll just wait for you,” Qiao Suisui looked up at him with a smile, her petite form holding a stack of papers nearly up to her chin, her eyes curving into a smile, “If you don’t co back, I’ll just keep the light on for you.”

Carl’s heart skipped a beat, and the teasing in his eyes faded away, leaving only sincerity and affection.

He cupped her face with both hands and kissed her forcefully. Qiao Suisui couldn’t resist and stumbled backward as she was kissed, the docunts in her hands falling with a whoosh, scattering at their feet.

Carl kissed her passionately, as if only through this act could he convey his emotions at the mont. He nudged her teeth apart with his tongue, entwining with hers, savoring the saliva in her mouth, and caressing her lips.

Qiao Suisui felt a bit unsteady from the kiss. Sensing this, Carl supported her waist with his hand and, restraining himself, let her go.

“After the last ti, you already knew you were pregnant, so that’s why you rejected , right?”

She nodded lightly, a hint of guilt in her voice, “I’m sorry, I…. I ant to tell you in a few days.”

“Good job.”

“Huh?”

Carl wrapped his arms around her, his chin resting on her head, and sighed, “I’m glad you did. If I had gone through with it, I would have been a real bastard.”

She hadn’t expected Carl to think like this, worrying he would be mad at her for keeping it from him. But then she wasn’t surprised anymore, because it was Carl, after all. It wasn’t strange. He always seed like soone who didn’t care about anything but actually was very manly at heart.

He never forced himself to do anything he disliked.

It was the sa with intimate matters—if she shook her head, no matter what state he was in, he would stop right away, never pushing further.

He also never shared his pressures with her. Instead, he was always trying to make her laugh, teasing and playing with her, but always indulgent.

Qiao Suisui looped her arms around his waist, looked up, and rubbed her nose against his chin, asking, “Is playing with the leopard cub fun?”

Carl paused for a mont, then looked at her with eyes full of joy, “You’re willing?”

Qiao Suisui nodded, thinking that a fluffy one should be nice. After all, his Beast Form was already so enjoyable to pet.

He picked her up happily and spun her around in a circle, then rembering she was pregnant, he imdiately put her down with concern, “Are you okay? I just got excited and forgot.”

Qiao Suisui reassured him it was fine, but inside her heart, she was slightly doubtful, silently pondering: The leopard cub itself is very cute, but the father is a bit unreliable. Can he really be trusted to take care of a cub?

Once cajoled, Carl was more than willing to do anything for her, not just taking her to the Interstellar Strategy Academy, but even if it ant another trip to the Southern Battlefield.

Zong Fang was keeping a closer eye on her than before, so he accompanied them this ti.

The three of them entered Ah Jin’s office through a hole they made, startling him so much he almost fell off his chair.

“Qiao, why are you here?” Ah Jin, looking at the two n standing behind her, recognized one all too well—his lifelong nesis. The other, he hadn’t seen before, with fiery red hair and a lazy deanor, but clearly not soone to ss with.

Wiping his sweat, Ah Jin smoothly confessed without even needing to be questioned, “Li Yi was taken away by Dr. Li; I’m not sure where they went, but they haven’t been back for many days.”

Qiao Suisui asked in confusion, “Dr. Li took him away? Why?”

Ah Jin nodded and said, “Dr. Li resigned from the academy, saying he had a very important task to finish. I don’t know the details, but I saw from a distance that Li Yi seed to have a heated argunt with him. I felt awkward stumbling upon it, so I walked away. Later on, I saw them leave together.”

Qiao Suisui pondered, then asked, “When did this happen?”

“It seems… about eleven days ago. There was an event at the academy that day, so I rember it quite clearly.”

Eleven days ago was when Ruka ca looking for him.

Which ant Anubis hadn’t been seen since then… Neither Li Yi nor Qiao Suisui had been able to get in touch with him.

Sensing her concern, Zong Fang stepped forward and took her hand, “Let’s go back first and ask Sikoses’s people to search, maybe they’ll find sothing.”

She nodded, “That’s all we can do.”

Qiao Suisui said goodbye to Ah Jin and returned to the Imperial Court, intending to find Ruka, but he arrived first.

“Suisui, Sang Yan is here. He said the Archbishop has been murdered.”
