Chapter 162: Chapter 162: My Man Chapter 162: Chapter 162: My Man “It’s good that you’re cautious, but the first principle of survival is to keep yourself alive,” Zong Fang instructed him.

The Two-headed Snake cautiously poked its head out, straightened its body to move a few steps, stopped, observed, and then moved a few more steps before finally reaching the bowl.

Noticing its approach, the other snakes made room for it, and then they continued munching away at their food.

Zong Fang smiled with satisfaction.

It seed that this little guy had already conquered his brothers and sisters.

Snakes are solitary by nature, and grouping together often leads to competition. In tis of food scarcity, they might even resort to cannibalism.

Zong Fang could imagine that life had not been easy for this group of snakes, but the fact that there had been no incidents of cannibalism suggested that this Two-headed Snake had done a good job of keeping order.

He wanted to pat it as a reward, but just as he raised his hand over its head, the Two-headed Snake suddenly sprang up and bit the back of Zong Fang’s hand.

He calmly observed the four small blood dots, carefully examining their depth to assess the growth of its fangs.

The dots healed in the blink of an eye. The Two-headed Snake had no venom yet; the bite was a warning for Zong Fang not to invade its territory without permission.

Zong Fang flicked the snake’s head twice with his hand; one head got hit.

The Two-headed Snake, chastened by the hit, hissed at Zong Fang clearly displeased but didn’t dare to bare its fangs at him again.

“Eat your food.”

The Two-headed Snake bowed its head and began eating, and the scene beca peaceful once more.

Zong Fang decided not to entrust the children to soone else’s care. He first prepared nine incubation boxes, allowing each snake to live alone in one. Then he took so plant landscapes from his space and decorated each box, turning them into independent ecological gardens.

The little snakes climbed the trees in their territory, played hide-and-seek in the dry wood shavings, and swam around more cheerfully.

After arranging everything, Zong Fang left the nursery room.

He washed his hands clean, making sure there was no scent of the snakes on them, before heading to the inner chamber to find Qiao Suisui. She was already asleep in bed when he arrived.

Zong Fang touched her foot that protruded from the blanket, it was indeed cold. He sat at the foot of the bed, cradling her delicate ankle with his hand and tucking it inside his own clothes, letting her sole rest against his stomach. After a while, when he felt the temperature of her sole had ward up, he gently placed her foot back under the blanket.

Qiao Suisui was a light sleeper. She turned over, her breathing deep but sowhat restless. Zong Fang lay beside her, gently caressing her back rhythmically, as if stroking a kitten’s fur.

Qiao Suisui’s previously slightly furrowed brows gradually relaxed, and her breathing beca steady.

Zong Fang’s lips curled into a smile, and he planted a kiss on her forehead, gazing at her sleeping face. If possible, he thought, he would like to do nothing but watch her like this forever.

When Qiao Suisui woke up in the morning, she touched sothing hard with her hand. With her eyes still closed, she fumbled around, and the man’s muffled groan sounded close to her ear.

“It seems the last punishnt wasn’t enough for you.”

At the sound of the husky voice, Qiao Suisui’s eyes snapped open, only to see Zong Fang glaring at her with reproach.

“How co you…” She paused halfway through her question as she rembered that Zong Fang had said he would check on the children first last night and co to see her later.

“Are the little ones okay?” she asked.

Zong Fang pulled her into his embrace and kissed her softly, saying, “They’re all doing well.”

He didn’t want her to worry about such things. He rembered vividly what she had gone through to deliver this litter, and every ti he thought of the situation at that ti, his heart would tremble with fear. How could he bla her for not wanting to get close to the children? He knew she was afraid of snakes, so he never showed his Beast Form in front of her.

“I’ll bring them to see you once they Transform,” he said, kissing her fingertips.

Feeling sowhat ashad, Qiao Suisui bit her lower lip and said softly, “Zong Fang, I have sothing to tell you. I…”

‘Knock knock knock’

‘Knock, knock, knock’

Urgent and fervent knocking sounds arose, and the voice of Isabella ca from outside the hall—

“Qiao Suisui, get up, let’s go out and have fun!”

She sat up in bed and glanced at the ti, it was only ten in the morning.

Suisui held her forehead while Zong Fang, who was hugging her waist, said, “Sleep a little longer, I’ll go chase her away.”

“Forget it, she made plans with when she left yesterday. You go tell her to wait for .”

So she quickly washed up, put on the clothes Zong Fang had chosen for her, and when she walked to the outer hall, she saw Isabella sitting primly drinking tea, with Adler standing behind her as if on high alert.

“What’s going on?” she asked, looking at the tense pair, and then at Zong Fang, who was sitting opposite them, elegantly holding a teacup, her face revealing puzzlent.

Isabella, seeing her like a savior, ca over to take her arm, making faces and whispering, “You’re finally here, save , who is this very handso but scary man?”

Suisui laughed, seeing that Zong Fang was looking at reports on the Light Computer, yet his ears twitched.

She deliberately raised her voice a little, saying to Isabella, “Oh, he’s my man.”

Adler and Isabella both showed an expression that said ‘as expected,’ and Suisui’s eyes curved into a smile. She glanced over at Zong Fang again and saw that the normally silent man now had the corners of his mouth slightly turned up, as if the research report in front of him contained sothing pleasantly surprising.

Isabella moved closer to Adler and shook her head in exasperation, “No use, my brother is a bit in over his head; we’ve got to help him.”

Upon hearing this, Zong Fang’s smile instantly vanished, and he lifted his chin, his gaze shooting toward Isabella like poison darts.

Suisui stepped in to smooth things over; she took Isabella and left in a hurry, telling Zong Fang they’d go play and co back later. Zong Fang wanted to follow, but Isabella said, “You guys, stop. Today’s activity is for ladies only, n, stay at ho.”

Adler showed an indulgent but helpless expression, agreeing continuously. Zong Fang frowned slightly and asked Qiao Suisui, “Where are you going, when will you be back?”

Qiao Suisui was also clueless, looking towards Isabella.

When the two of them stood on a street filled with neon lights, Qiao Suisui looked up and read the words on a very concealed sign—

BLACK.

“What’s this?”

She thought it was just so kind of bar or club, but to her surprise, Isabella said proudly, “Cowherd Shop.”

????????

So that was why she insisted on not telling Zong Fang and Adler where they were going.

“Sister, today I’ll let you have a proper experience!”

“Wait, I don’t need…” Before she could finish, Qiao Suisui was already dragged in by Isabella.

Several enthusiastic males imdiately surrounded her, the fragrance coming off them caused Qiao Suisui to sneeze uncontrollably.

She was pulled by Isabella into a luxurious private room, where there were several females, each of whom already had two or three males attending to them.

Isabella burst into tears as soon as she entered, “Sisters, I’m finally back, I’ve missed you so much!”

The other females comforted her with laughs.

“Little Bell is here, it’s been so long since you’ve co out with us, choose a few, today is on .”

“Oh, and you even brought a new friend, I haven’t seen this little female before, which family is she from?”

One of the impressive-looking sisters lifted her head from a man’s chest and warmly said to Qiao Suisui, who was stunned at the doorway, “Little sister, want to play a ga? Co on, drink the wine from his chest.”
