Chapter 7 - 7 Skipping School
Date: April 24, 1947
Ti: Early Morning
Location: Forest Hills, New York City
I wake up early because i cannot hold my excitent anymore hehehe, i want to use my experience points
"System, please display my current attributes and available experience points," I request, eager to review my status before making any decisions.
The Spider Man System promptly responds, projecting a holographic display in front of :
Current Attributes:
Strength: 14
Agility: 18
Stamina: 10
Intelligence: 20
Reflexes: 18
Charisma: 10
Luck: 10
Endurance: 10
Available Experience Points: 200
"System, you said that I can add my experience points to my attributes, right? So, I have 200 experience points. How do I add them to my attributes? Can you explain it to ?" I inquired, eager to make the most of my newfound power.
The AI System responded promptly, "Certainly, host. Each attribute is worth 10 points. So, if you add 10 experience points to an attribute, it will increase by 1 point. For example, if your strength is currently at 5 and you add 10 experience points to it, it will change to 6. Therefore, 10 experience points are equivalent to 1 attribute point."
"Got it," I replied, nodding in understanding. "Thanks for the clarification. Now, I know how to allocate my experience points."
So, if I wanted to increase my strength attribute by one point, I needed to allocate 10 experience points to it. Hmm now that I understand how to allocate my experience points, I need to decide which attributes to enhance," I mused, contemplating my options.
With this understanding, I decided to invest 100 experience points into my strength attribute, effectively increasing it from 14 to 24.
Alright, let's boost that strength attribute," I muttered to myself, feeling really pumped about getting even better as Spider-Man. With a few commands to the system interface, I allocated the experience points accordingly to my desire.
As the points were absorbed into my being, I felt a change in how I moved. It was like my muscles got a boost, tingling with energy. I sensed this power running through , making
feel stronger than before.
"Well, I will add my another 100 experience points in the endurance since my endurance attribute is only 10. So if I add 100 experience points, then I could have 20," I reasoned with myself, thinking it through carefully.
Endurance is really important, especially for soone like , who wants to be Spider-Man. Fighting bad guys all day is tough on the body, and having lots of endurance ans I can keep going even when it's hard.
After adding this, I felt strong. Adding the 100 points to strength and another 100 points to endurance ans I have beco much stronger than before. I flexed my muscles, admiring the changes in the mirror.
"So this is how strong I am now," I chuckled, flexing my muscles playfully. "I guess you could say I'm as strong as a jock who's been chugging protein shakes all day!" I joked, feeling a bit amused by the comparison.
After admiring my newfound strength and endurance in the mirror, I chuckled to myself and decided it was ti to hit the shower. As I stepped into the bathroom, ready to wash away the sweat of my morning training session, my mind buzzed with anticipation for the next phase of my journey to beco Spider-Man.
As the warm water cascaded over , I couldn't shake the excitent of the challenges that lay ahead. I imagined swinging through the city, using my newfound powers to protect the innocent and thwart evil at every turn.
Just as I was washing myself with soap, a familiar notification from the Spider-Man System interrupted my thoughts.
"Host, now that you have strength and endurance similar to a jock, it's ti for you to train how to be a Spider-Man," the AI System announced, its digital voice echoing in my mind.
Excitent surged through
as I read the quest details:
Quest: Train Your Webbing, Crawling, and Spider Sense
Reward: 1000 points (Shop)
Additional Reward: 100 experience points
"This is great," I thought to myself, a smirk forming on my lips. "But before I jump into training, let
wrap up this shower."
Feeling more determined, I rinsed off and stepped out of the shower, feeling refreshed and ready to face what's next. As I dried myself off and put on my clothes, my mind buzzed with ideas for how to train my new abilities.
After I finished getting ready for the day, I realized sothing important: I still had to go to school. But I had this amazing chance to train and beco Spider-Man, and I didn't want to miss it.
I felt worried about telling my mom I needed to skip school. She might get mad, and Dad might too. So, I took a deep breath and tried to figure out how to tell her.
"Morning, Michael," she greeted
cheerfully. "You're up early today. Excited for school?"
I hesitated, not sure how to explain. "Mom, I, uh, actually have sothing really important to do today. It's kind of urgent." I felt bad lying, but I couldn't tell her the truth about training as Spider-Man.
Mom stopped cooking for a mont and she set down the spatula she was holding as she looked at
with a concerned face. "Oh? What's up, honey? Is everything alright?"
I felt a bit nervous and guilty because I wasn't telling the truth, but I couldn't say I was training as Spider-Man. "Um, yeah, everything's okay. I just have sothing I need to do outside of school. It won't take too long, I swear."
Mom looked at , concern evident in her eyes. "Are you sure, Michael? If there's sothing bothering you, you can always talk to us about it."
Before I could respond, Dad entered the kitchen, ready for work. He glanced between Mom and , sensing the tension in the air. "What's going on, you two?"
Mom glanced at Dad with concern when I ntioned having sothing important to do instead of going to school. "Edward, Michael wants to skip school today. He says he has sothing urgent to take care of."
Dad looked at
and asked, "What's up, son? You don't usually skip school."
I felt more stressed when Dad joined the conversation. Thinking quickly, I ca up with so bullshit thing. "Well, it's not exactly like that. You know Mark, right? My best friend? He needs so help with his job to earn so extra money, so he asked for my assistance."
Dad raised an eyebrow, looking skeptical. "Help with what, exactly?"
I racked my brain for a convincing answer. "Uh, he's doing so kind of performance thing, like a street artist or sothing. He wants
to help set up his gear and stuff."
Dad looked skeptical, crossing his arms over his chest. "Hmm, I see. Just make sure you're back ho before dinner. And don't make a habit of skipping school, Michael. Education is important."
I nodded quickly, relieved that they bought my excuse. "Of course, Dad. Thanks, Mom, Dad. I'll be back soon, I promise."
Edward thought, As he saw his son leave "I know Michael is always helping Mark. Hmm, well, it doesn't matter what the reason is. After all, I know Michael; he wouldn't do anything bad. There must be a reason. Besides, this is the first ti he's skipped school, so I'll let it pass for now."
As I left the house, I couldn't help but feel grateful for my parents' concern. They really worried about , huh? I'm lucky to have such caring parents. With that thought, I headed out, ready to focus on my training as Spider-Man without any interruptions.
