Chapter 182 - 144: The Dawn of Sun (12)

[Michael Pov]

As I battled against the trio of villains—Kraven, Taskmaster, and Doctor Octopus—my mind raced with thoughts of Dr. Doom's ominous warning. That maniacal mastermind was behind all of this chaos, orchestrating the madness that threatened to engulf the city. The mory of his voice echoed in my mind, driving my determination to bring an end to his reign of terror.

As Taskmaster launched his arrows my way, I dodged them with ease. With all the years I've spent as Legendary Spider-Man, my reflexes were sharp as ever. Then I grabbed one arrow mid-flight and sent it back at him. He had to scramble to avoid getting hit, giving

a chance to turn the tables.

Kraven's laughter filled the air as he launched himself at

with a knife in hand, his predatory instincts driving him to take

down. But I wasn't about to let him have his way. With a swift kick, I knocked the knife from his grasp and used my webbing to restrain him, sending him crashing backward.

Doctor Octopus, with his scary tal arms, ca at

next, looking really nace like It wants to kill . But I wasn't about to let him catch

like so lab rat. I dodged his attacks and hit him hard, making him lose his balance. This gave

a chance to step back and catch my breath.

As I watched these trio villains, the mory of Dr. Doom's words resurfaced once again, reminding

of the looming threat posed by his Orbit Sun and those blinding lights. I knew I couldn't let him succeed in his plans, not at the expense of innocent lives. With renewed determination, I vowed to put an end to this madness and confront Dr. Doom once and for all. The fate of the city depended on it, and as Legendary Spider-Man, it was my responsibility to protect it at all costs.

.....

[Peter Parker side]

As Electro's crackling energy surged around us, his voice rang out with a mixture of frustration and anger. "Spider-Man Red, why must you interfere?!" he bellowed, his words punctuated by bursts of electricity.

I t his gaze squarely, my determination unwavering despite the intensity of the battle raging around us. "Because it's my duty to protect the innocent," I replied, my voice firm with resolve.

With a surge of adrenaline, I leaped to the side, narrowly avoiding another blast of electricity aid in my direction. My mind raced, calculating the best course of action to subdue Electro without causing further harm to the civilians caught in the crossfire. Yes, it wasn't just Chris Hilton here; there were also civilians, workers caught in the chaos, their safety depending on my every move. I couldn't afford to let my guard down or allow collateral damage in the midst of this intense battle.

As our battle raged on, amidst the crackling of electricity and the sound of our grunts, I couldn't help but reach out to Electro, to the man buried beneath the anger and power.

"Is this what you really want, Max?" I called out amidst our clash, my voice strained with effort.

His reply ca quick and bitter, each word tinged with resentnt. "Shut up! You have no idea what I've been through!" he snapped, each syllable crackling like the lightning he wielded.

Still, I persisted, evading, weaving between his electric blasts with full determination in my eyes. "I may not know your past, Max, but I know you're more than this," I replied, my gaze steady despite the chaos around us. "Deep down, you know this isn't who you are."

His rage boiled over, and he unleashed another bolt of electricity in my direction. Swiftly, I dodged aside, narrowly avoiding the crackling blast. "Shut up!" he spat, his movents betraying his frustration for all to see.

With firm determination, I kept pushing forward, my resolve unyielding. "It seems I'll have to knock so sense into you," I said, a tinge of regret creeping into my voice.

Electro's response was defiant, his challenge echoing through the air. "I'd like to see you try!"

And try I did, dodging and weaving, my every move fueled by instinct and sheer determination. But no matter how fiercely I fought, he remained seemingly impervious to my attacks, effortlessly shrugging off my webs.

A muttered curse escaped my lips, frustration bubbling to the surface. "Tsk, he's a tough cookie," I grumbled under my breath, even as I continued to press forward, refusing to back down.

Electro's attacks were relentless, each strike more intense with every passing mont. "You really think a guy in a costu like you can stop , huh, Spider-Man? You're nothing but a nuisance," he sneered, his voice dripping with contempt.

I ducked and weaved, dodging his attacks while searching for an opening. "I may be a nuisance to you, Max or um Electro, but I won't stand by while you hurt innocent people," I countered, my eyes scanning the area for any sign of civilians in danger.

Just then, I spotted a group of civilians huddled nearby, their terrified faces illuminated by the crackling electricity. With a surge of determination, I swung into action, using my webs to shield them from Electro's attacks.

"Get to safety!" I urged them, my voice firm as I directed them away from the danger zone.

Electro's rage intensified as he saw

protecting the civilians. "You can't save them all, Spider-Man!" he shouted, unleashing another barrage of lightning in my direction.

But I refused to back down, weaving a web shield to deflect the incoming blasts. "Maybe not, but I'll do everything in my power to try," I declared, my voice echoing with determination.

As battle raged on, one thing remained certain—I wouldn't give up until I reached the man behind the mask of Electro, until I brought him back from the brink of darkness.

...

"You're here, Reed!" Doom's voice carried across the skyline, dripping with contempt as he observed their approach.

Doom's response was predictably caustic. "To hell with you, Reed!" he spat, his words laced with venom.

Reed remained composed, refusing to stoop to Doom's level. "Right back at you," he shot back calmly.

But Doom wasn't finished. "I'll show you who's the boss, Richards," he growled, his eyes gleaming with malice.

Reed's retort was quick and confident. "Not this ti, Doom. We've faced you before, and we'll do it again. And this ti, we'll win."

"Is that so? Then Fuck you, Reed!!!" Doom's voice thundered with rage, his words echoing off the skyscrapers.

[anwhile on his teammate side]

Johnny Storm asked, "Sis, are they cursing each other?"

Johnny's question made Susan chuckle as she observed Reed and Doom's back-and-forth from where they were positioned.

"I don't know, Johnny, but it sure sounds like it," Sue replied with a smirk, her eyes still focused on the scene playing out in the distance. "It's like listening to a married couple arguing about the dishes."

Doom's interest was sparked, and he couldn't resist pressing for more information. "Oh? Do tell," he challenged, unable to hide his curiosity.

Reed's reply was simple yet loaded with confidence. "Us," he stated, his smirk widening into a grin.

Doom's frustration was evident as he scoffed at Reed's bold claim. "This arrogant ddler," he muttered, a grudging hint of disdain slipping into his tone. "I shouldn't have asked."

"Because You are too shaless!!!" Doom's voice bood, his anger fueling the Orbit Sun power aid at the Fantastic Four.

Reed Richards, the brilliant leader of the team, surveyed the scene with a calculating gaze. Despite the gravity of the situation, his mind remained sharp, analyzing every possible strategy to counter Doom's assault. "Human Torch, absorb the energy a little bit and redirect it in the opposite direction," he instructed, his voice calm yet urgent, knowing that Johnny Storm's fiery abilities could be their best chance at neutralizing the threat.

Johnny nodded, ready to follow Reed's orders. With determination in his eyes, he focused his flas towards the attack, "Roger," he affird, his confidence bolstered by the trust he placed in Reed's strategic genius.

Matt Murdock, known as Daredevil, and Thomas Halloway, alias The New Angel, stood amidst the chaos, their senses heightened as they listened to the tumultuous events unfolding around them. The voices of Electro, Chaleon, and Dr. Doom echoed through the city streets, each word a grim reminder of the danger that lurked.

"Should we help them?" Matt asked, his voice tinged with concern as he considered the plight of their fellow heroes.

Thomas paused, his gaze fixed on the distant horizon where the battles raged on. "No," he responded firmly, his jaw set with determination. "Our priority is finding Kingpin. That's our mission."

Matt nodded, acknowledging the truth in Thomas's words. "You're right," he agreed, his resolve firm. "But I can't shake this feeling of unease."

Amidst the chaos, Thomas offered a reassuring nod to Matt. "Don't worry," he said confidently. "My dad's team is already there, and Besides..."

Thomas continued, his confidence unwavering, "I believe the two Spider-n, Nightwing, and Lady Vamp can handle those villains. I'm sure of it."

Matt considered Thomas's words, recognizing the trust he placed in their allies. "You really have faith in them, huh?" he remarked, a hint of admiration in his voice.

Thomas nodded firmly. "Well, after all, we've seen how they fight. You know that," he replied, his conviction unshakable.

Matt nodded in agreent. "You're right about that," he conceded, a sense of reassurance settling over him.
