Her Ethos was supposed to manifest as a shield of light, an aura of protection, and the power to strike back when challenged. But right now, it felt like a distant dream.

A pulse of energy shot through her, and she suddenly felt her shield forming around her body, though it was weak like a candle in the wind. It shone faintly, generating a barrier just large enough to cover her torso, but the glow was unstable. It sputtered and crackled, failing to provide the imposing presence it should have.

"See? I'm still weak..." Clara muttered, her shield flickering and fading into nothingness as the energy dissipated, leaving only a trace of light behind.

"What's your Ethos anyway?"

"It's not much... just sothing I'm still trying to control," she said, then began to explain.

Her Ethos manifested as an aura of protective energy, a shimring, swirling shield of hardened light that enveloped her.

It was an impressive sight, yet unstable, like a candle fla flickering against the wind.

When activated, the shield could absorb incoming damage, its radiant surface rippling like a stormy sea. But what truly made it formidable was Clara's ability to channel that absorbed energy into a powerful counterstrike.

The damage she took would be reflected back in an explosive burst of energy, striking her enemies with the force she absorbed. It was like taking a punch, only to return it tenfold.

And then there was her trump card.

When Clara activated it, her shield expanded, blazing with raw power, making her montarily invulnerable. She could block any attack, her body encased in an impenetrable aura of light.

But while her defenses were stronger, her offensive abilities surged as well, with her strikes becoming faster, sharper, and far more devastating.

The catch? The surge drained her energy quickly, leaving her with precious little ti to decide when to activate it. Too early and she'd be drained; too late and she wouldn't have the ti to land a fatal blow.

It was a high-risk, high-reward tactic, and Clara had learned the hard way that timing was everything.

Her Ethos was a reflection of her personality. Bold, unyielding, fiercely protective.

She didn't wait for others to co to her rescue; she never sat back and let things happen. She dove into battle headfirst, trusting her instincts and her Ethos to carry her through.

Every battle was a chance to forge her own path, to prove to herself and to others that she could stand on her own.

"Are you kidding ?!" Serafine snatched Clara's hands with gleaming excitent. "That's so cool!"

"E-Eh?!"

"You're basically a tank!"

"A what now?"

Serafine paused. 'Right... They had no idea what tanks were. Or anything modern military stuff, for that matter.'

"Do you have a na for it?"

"No, not really..."

"How about Aegis Temper?"

"What?" Clara blinked in confusion.

"Aegis ans a protector, and temper because... well, you have a temper!"

SLAP!

"O-Oh..." Clara's cheeks turned redder than a tomato as she realized, well, she did have a temper. "I guess that fits..."

"See? I have a point!"

[Ruination System Activation: Ninth Mission]

Objective:

To fulfill the mission of Ruination, you must train for the Academy Entrance with your major mbers in the cult—Mariella, Calix, and Clara. Strengthen your bonds, sharpen your skills, and prepare for the challenges ahead. This is your chance to forge a new identity and show what you're truly capable of, beyond your past roles and expectations.

Instructions:

- Gather Mariella, Calix, and Clara and begin your training. Whether it's sparring, strategizing, or honing your skills, focus on growth.

- Each mber has their own strengths and weaknesses—leverage their abilities and push each other to be better.

- Train with intent. Let this mission be a chance to prove not just your power, but your leadership and ability to shape the future.

Reward: Completion of this task will grant you additional 20,000 Ruination Points (RN) and unlock a new ability based on your training progress.

Serafine's eyes glead as she scanned the system notification. The reward was even better than she expected.

'20,000 additional points?'

That was definitely not sothing to scoff at. The mission clearly involved more than just training. It was a challenge, but knowing Serafine, she wasn't going to back down from a little fun.

She glanced over at Clara, who was casually leaning against a pillar, looking rather uninterested. Oh, this is going to be good. She'd gotten Mariella on her side with her charm; surely, Clara wouldn't be that hard to convince.

Striding over to the girl, she leaned in just enough so their faces were only inches apart. "You know," she said, her voice low and alluring, "training with could be… a lot more fun than you think."

"What? Are you—"

She tilted her head, flashing a playful smile. "Oh, co on. You're tough, and I like tough girls. Imagine the two of us. Pushing each other to our limits, maybe even getting a little… closer. What do you say?"

Clara's eyes widened slightly, her cheeks turning faintly pink as she took a step back. "W-Wait, what are you talking about?"

"Oh, don't act like you're not interested," Serafine teased, trailing a finger down Clara's arm. "I can see it in your eyes. You're not one to back down from a challenge. And training with ? We could make it… personal."

"I don't know what you think you're doing, but I'm not so—"

Before Clara could finish her sentence, the sound of footsteps approaching made Serafine stiffen. She quickly spun around, eyes wide, and saw Mariella coming toward them, oblivious to the situation at hand.

'Crap, this was not the ti for her to show up!'

Panic set in, and she quickly cleared her throat. "Hey, Mariella! Perfect timing. I was just—uh—about to discuss sothing important with Clara."

"Oh? Looks like you two were having fun over here."

Serafine quickly grabbed Mariella's arm and tugged her toward a corner, all while sending a brief glance at Clara.

"Yeah, yeah, you know how it is. Just had to—uh—clear so things up," She smiled too brightly, trying to cover her tracks.

"Right, right. Well, I'm glad to see you two bonding. So, what's next on the agenda?"

"Oh, nothing much, just preparing for the training session. You know, the usual stuff. Nothing to worry about!"

But she could still feel Clara's eyes on her. A quick glance back revealed that Clara was standing with her arms crossed, and her expression wasn't one of indifference. It was sothing else. Sothing… jealous?

'Wait, Clara's jealous?!'
